Does watching the movie before reading the book ruin the plot and characters of the novel? More often than not, it kills it for me. I don't think I've ever read a book where the movie was actually better. I usually find out that it was made from a book after I watch the movie, so I feel compelled to go back and read it. However, and this is especially true for bad actors and actresses, their role in the film is forever embedded in my memory which is never a good thing because then you can't imagine your own characters when reading the actual novel. And that's what it's all about. It's backwards, really. Can't really blame Avy Kaufman and Mindy Marin for doing their jobs, though.

Dirty laundry

Subject one:

Once in a while, when I'm terribly broke with no means of cash, I go to garage sales. Ok, so it's more of a every few weekly event. You could even say I frequent them. You're just going to give it to Goodwill in the end.

Subject two:

Cute Anna Sui:

Cute Betsey Johnson (then again, I <3 all Betsey Johnson):

Cute Fendi Purse:
