Hello Darlings,
I hope everyone is doing well. The holidays are just around the corner and we all have parties and functions on our social calendars that we must attend and we all want to be the belle of the ball ,the one who turns all the heads in the room. Today I am posting a few tips for keeping on that diet plan for those who are slimming and some beauty tips as well...  I am sure you are all doing great on your plans and making your dreams come to reality .For those who are having a hard time just remember that todays mistakes are just steps on the ladder of sucess and all of you can be anything and everything you dream so hang in there and keep your gorgeous heads held high ...

  • Tape a picture of your skinny self to the refrigerator for inspiration. Remind yourself what you can look like.
  • Tape a picture of your fat self to the refrigerator for motivation. Remind yourself what you don’t want to look like.
  • Limit head-on visions. Do a “Miss America,” and stand at an angle that presents a three-quarter body profile.
  • Don’t keep up with the Joneses. Take one bite of food for every two your dining companion takes.
  • “Boost” your sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, cucumber slices, bell peppers, and other fresh veggies. Along with the bigger crunch, you’ll get a bigger sandwich with few additional calories and no extra fat.
  • Take a shower or bath when a food craving strikes. It will relax you, and keep your whole body occupied and out of trouble (i.e., the kitchen) until the craving fades.
  • Phone a talkative friend when a food craving strikes. Call from a corded phone outside the kitchen, and stay on until the craving fades.
  • Brush your teeth, floss, gargle, or chew a stick of gum immediately after your meal to stop yourself from eating more.
  • Stand near fatter people. They make you look thinner.
  • To add length to round faces, part hair on the side, in a silky straight down do, or in an upsweep. Keep bangs on the wispy side, if you wear them, to avoid a face-broadening horizontal line.
  • Smash your trash. When you throw food away, thoroughly bury it under more trash so there will be absolutely no question of changing your mind. No need to explain.
  • Computer-enhance a photo of yourself to see how great you’ll look when you’re slim. Never mind liposuction: Today’s computer technology lets you delete double chins and narrow your waistline with the touch of a keystroke. Print out a copy and keep it in your purse.
  • Chew sugarless gum while you prepare meals. It’ll keep you from tasting (eating) that extra serving’s worth.
  • Cross your legs at your ankles. Your thighs and calves will look slimmer.
  • Drink a tall glass of water before every meal. It’s a healthy way to quench your hunger.
  • Get a tan. A tan helps you look thinner
  • Work for your snacks. Before you eat a high-calorie snack, clean the bathroom or vacuum the house. Don’t eat until the faucets and sink are gleaming.
  • Have your teeth cleaned professionally and whitened. You won’t want to sully that gorgeous mouth with “bad” food.
  • Give yourself a manicure when a craving strikes, applying extra layers of slow-drying nail polish. It will keep your hands occupied and out of trouble until the craving fades.

  • Emphasize your weight loss triumphs and work towards making them more frequent
  • Find a weight loss "buddy," club, or support group. This will help you stay with your weight loss program.
  • Use mustard on your sandwiches instead of mayonnaise. Mustard has no fat & very little calories while Mayo, is loaded with fat. If you just don’t like the taste of mustard, find a low-fat alternative, but avoid mayonnaise at all costs.

  • Weigh yourself each week. Don't be worried about small daily changes in your weight. You shouldn't lose more than 1 - 2 pounds a week. There may be weeks when you don't lose weight. This is normal. Stay on your diet to lose weight.
  • Bake, roast, or broil your food instead of frying. Remove all fat from meats and skin from poultry before cooking.
  • Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. This will help flush out your body while also suppressing your appetite
  • If you haven't done so already, switch to diet soft drinks. An average 12 Oz can of regular soda contains around 120 calories, while the diet version usually has one or zero. If you drink 3 cans a day, you'll be saving 360 calories right there. Now multiply that by 7 days a week, 30 days a month and 365 days a year... You'll be saving a lot of calories!

  • Limit alcohol. Alcoholic drinks have many calories & little else.
  • Don't give it up if you don't want to, just reduce your intake.
  • Pick one place at home and work that you will do all your eating. Be sure you are seated. Don't eat anywhere but in that place. Enjoy your food by sitting down and eating slowly. Sitting down focuses your attention more directly on the activity of eating. By eating in the same place you identify and associate that place with the idea that it is the only area in which you should eat.
  • Shop for Groceries only after eating. You will be less likely to buy foods impulsively – especially foods you don’t need.
  • When you shop for groceries stick to your shopping list. This helps you guard against impulse buying. Make sure you list is complete and do not buy any extra food items.
  • Watch food labels. Foods with a high percentage of fat (or carbohydrates that are sugars) will slow down your weight loss program Don't just count grams, count percentage of total calories that are fat or sugars.
  • Don't think that just because you are eating low fat/low calorie foods that you can eat all that you want. The calories still add up and must be burned off regardless of what kind of food you eat. Balance is the key.
  • If you are going to a restaurant, decide ahead of time what you will be eating. Stick to it.
  • Never starve yourself, especially before going out to eat (or you will binge). Never skip meals, you must have some kind of nourishment regularly or your body's starvation defenses will kick in, lower your metabolism, and store fat.
  • Exercise – If you want to stay healthy and make weight loss permanent you just cant do without exercise. Along with cutting down on the fat you eat exercising regularly may be your best ally in improving your all around health and bringing your weight loss under control.
  • Schedule your exercise time just as you plan your other activities of the day. Treat this time as an important appointment you don’t want to miss
  • Write your weight goal & post it where you'll see it everyday.
  • You are responsible for what you do & what you eat.
  • Eat to live, not live to eat. Overeating can KILL you!
  • Repeat: "I'm learning a way to live, not just a way to diet."
  • Water is essential to all bodily functions and has no calories. It is the perfect drink for dieters. You need eight 8 oz. glasses of water daily.
  • Be happy: you're OK! Resisting all those tempting foods is NOT going to kill you.
  • Limit your time in the grocery store. The longer you stay, the more you will buy.
  • Be patient - it took years to gain weight; it takes time to lose weight.
  • "Nibble" food and "linger" over drinks. Do the "Push Away From The Table Exercise."
  • Chew your food completely: digestion begins in the mouth. Avoid "washing" half-chewed food down.
  • Let someone else be the walking garbage disposal: you are no longer responsible for eating up the leftovers after a meal.
  • Success is when you can look beyond food...and look down and see your feet.
  • Each day you stay on your weight-loss diet brings you closer to your weight goal.
  • The purpose of getting together with people is to enjoy their company...not eating.
  • Chart or graph your weight loss and serving selections.
  • Take small servings - avoid gorging yourself.
  • Consuming most calories in one big meal is the worst way to diet. Eat 4 or 5 small meals rather than in one all-out feeding frenzy.
  • If your schedule only permits you to eat one major meal in a day, eat it in the morning to midday hours rather than afternoon/evening hours.
  • Lose weight with a supportive friend or in a support group.
EATING OUT TIPS :

  • Don't arrive at the restaurant hungry - eat a piece of fruit or a serving of vegetables before you leave the house to avoid over indulging.
  • Be careful of alcoholic beverages - alcohol often stimulates your appetite, and the calories can add up quickly.
  • Decide what type of restaurant you will go to: Thai, Japanese, Greek, and Indian cuisines are often naturally lower in fat and calories than Mexican, Italian and French cuisines.
  • Look for sensible possibilities! Try replacing French fries with a baked potato. Request more veg and less pasta, or try the vegetarian option on the menu.
  • Don't be afraid to ask the waiter for suggestions. Restaurants are interested in pleasing their customers, and will most likely accommodate any requests you have.
  • Order a salad for an appetizer and fruit for dessert. Make sure to avoid the creamy salad dressings, and ask for the dressing to be served on the side so that you have control over how much is added!

Natural Skin Care

Getting healthier skin is not contingent upon high-cost prescription medications or obsessive skin care routines. Modifying your daily routine a tiny bit and upholding disciplined cleansing habits can help to add flawless skin to the list of your best qualities.

Eat healthier
By avoiding foods that often make your face breakout, your skin will be less oily and more resistant skin breakouts. Some problem foods that may cause pimples or breakouts include chocolate and other candy, French fries, fast food, pizza and soft drinks.

To get your skin in better shape, you may not have to give up everything that has negative effects on your skin, but rather, eat those things in moderation. Have greasier foods as a special treat or on rare occasion when eating a healthy, balanced meal is out of the question.

Hydrate and exercise
Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water per day coupled with some regular exercise - walking, running, bicycling, engaging in sports - should have a great impact on one’s complexion. Increased blood flow due to aerobic exercise will positively impact one’s complexion with a glowing look to replace dull skin.

Not only will exercise and drinking water help skin tone and texture, but it will also make you feel more energized and great about yourself. By keeping your body in shape, you will feel less stressed and more capable of achieving those things you set out to do.

Monitor sun exposure
By using a moderate strength sunscreen, you will be protecting your skin from sun damage, skin cancers aging and premature wrinkles. Too much sun can blister one’s lips, leaving them red, sore and charred. Sunburned skin will eventually peel most times, leaving skin areas blotchy and sensitive. The best approach to preventing sunburn and other sun-caused skin problems is to monitor how much time one spends in the sun and to avoid sun exposure by using sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater.

Practice a regular cleansing routine
Cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize…this daily routine should carry you on your way toward healthier skin. Select a gentle skin cleansing solution that works for your specific type of skin - dry, oily, normal. Using your selected product, cleanse face in a circular motion and rinse with lukewarm water, as hot water zaps skin’s moisture.

Follow the cleansing stage with an exfoliant. A granular product is often especially effective in smoothing rough areas and releasing dead skin cells, allowing the face to be better moisturized.

After the exfoliation process concludes, use a toner or an astringent to tighten skin and remove any makeup or cleanser residue. A nice alternative to a toner or astringent would be doing a facial masque at least once a week, which tackles clogged pores while also firming skin and leaving it soft and silky.

Finally, pat skin dry with a soft towel but do not dry up all the water. Apply a moisturizer (with or without sunscreen) to help protect skin from dryness. Those who have oily skin do not have to moisturize as often as those who have dry, normal or combination skin.

APPLYING FALSE LASHES LIKE A PROFESSIONAL:

False eyelashes can give you an instantly glamorous look -- and they're easier to apply than you'd imagine. There are two types: Full lashes, which add density to the entire lash line, and individual lashes, which can be used to fill in sparse areas or dramatically open up the eye area. Full lashes are easier to apply and don't look as natural, but individual lashes require a steadier hand and a bit more practice. Whichever style you choose, follow these tips to make your lashes look as natural as possible.

  • Before you apply the lashes, line your upper lash line with a mahogany eyeliner and smudge it slightly to create a smoky effect. This will help to conceal the lashband.
  • Apply the glue to your finger, lightly pull the lashband through it, and wait a moment. Or, dip the end of the individual lash in the glue.
  • Apply the false lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible; press the lash down for a few seconds on the outside of the eye. If you are applying individual lashes, apply them to the outside corners of the eye and work your way toward your nose. For the most natural look, all you need is a few individual lashes per eye.
  • After you've applied the false lashes, curl them along with your real lashes and apply mascara.

It's best to reserve this look for special occasions; long-term use can lead to eye irritation from the glue, and even infections.

How do I keep my eyeliner from smudging?

Eyeliner smudging is pretty much inevitable. The eyes are naturally moist, and moisture along with laughing, blinking, sneezing and rubbing our eyes (all very human activities) ruins makeup! But I'll give you some tips to help it smudge less:

  • Avoid using too much moisturizer around the eye; it will travel and convert liner into mush -- not a bad look in a sultry rock-star way, but probably not the look you're going for. Try an eye gel in lieu of eye cream. Look for one that absorbs quickly and be sure to give it a couple of minutes before applying makeup.

  • Help keep eyeliner in place with this three-layer application technique:

STEP 1 Using a Q-tip, trace a line of neutral-colored matte powder or eye shadow around the circumference of the eye as a base on which you'll place the eyeliner.

STEP 2 Use a pencil liner in your desired shade and dot along the lash line, creating your desired shape.

STEP 3 Now, using a fine-pointed brush and an eyeshadow in the same shade as the pencil you used, trace over the pencil liner, staying within the line you drew with the pencil.

Hello Darlings ,
I hope everyone is doing well and looking fabulous and making all their dreams a reality . Here are a few more tips for you.

Beauty Secret 1

Unchap and beautify your lips with this technique.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the following:  a washcloth (I’m not kidding either), warm water, and your favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat of lip balm.  Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of the washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.

Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free.  You may also apply lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

Beauty Secret 2

Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for the complexion

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon castor oil over face.

Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately upon waking.  Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after washing.  When you finish steaming your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming.  Take one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide.  Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor oil the following night.

This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and pimples.  But only if you work at it consistently.

"I'VE PUT ON TOO MUCH FOUNDATION" This is a very common mistake that we all make when we put on makeup. If you are totally made up, to take off any excess foundation, do the following:

* Lightly moisten a clean sponge with water (the sponge should be almost dry and without any makeup residue) and sponge all of your face with downward movements.

TIP: It's very important, most of all, to avoid excess foundation and concealer around the eyes. To eliminate any excess in this area, perform the same step and afterwards use your fingertips to softly blur the product in that area.

"MY EYESHADOW LOOKS TOO DARK"

If you've put on too much eyeshadow, or it looks too dark, follow these steps to quickly fix the problem:

* If it happened on your upper eyelid, blur the eyeshadow toward the edges with a clean brush to reduce the color. If it still looks very dark, apply a little bit of matte cream eyeshadow with a brush (if you don't have cream eyeshadow, you can use translucent powder) and blur the eyeshadow.

* If it happened on the lower part of your eye, use a fine, clean brush to blur, or pat it softly with a Q-tip.

* If as you were blurring, you've left the contour of the eyelid and the shadow looks very dark, blur it with a clean sponge and afterwards apply a little bit of foundation, patting lightly to fix the foundation.

"I'VE PUT ON TOO MUCH BLUSH" If you applied too much blush, try the following tip:

* Stroke your cheek with a thick, loose powder bush--the brush should be completely clean. If you still have too much blush on, apply translucent or clear powder with the same brush, just over the blush. That way the two powders should mix, clarifying the original color.

"I'VE PUT TOO MUCH MAKEUP ON MY EYEBROWS" When we put too much makeup on our eyebrows, we look harsh and we can't even recognize ourselves. Follow the following tip to quickly solve this:

* Simply brush the eyebrow with a clean Q-tip, going against the grain of your eyebrow. You will see how quickly the color you initially applied disappears.

"I'VE SMEARED MASCARA ON MY EYELID" That's all right. Just follow these next steps and you'll see how you can quickly fix the problem:

* Continue applying makeup and when you have finished, allowing enough time for the mascara to dry, apply a Q-tip right over the smudge. You'll see how it quickly disappears and you don't need to remove the makeup from your whole eye.

TIP: A good trick to avoid smudging yourself is applying makeup first to your inferior eyelashes and then to the superior.

You own the best makeup money can buy. You thumb through fashion magazines to study the faces of those stick-thin, runway models. You spend two hours each morning putting on your face. And, you still don't look right. What's a girl got to do to look good around here?

Lights, camera, action...consider three things:

What's the lighting in your make-up area? Adjust it, and you may find that you're better able to cover your flaws and accentuate your attributes.

Picture yourself. Is the look you're struggling to attain realistic for you? The supermodel-look you're using to create your own makeup style may not be at all like you.

Look for famous faces with features similar to your own.

What colors and products do your look-alikes use with success Try modeling yourself after realistic ideals.

Are you using the right colors and products?

Learn from the pros...take a lesson. Spend a half hour with a professional makeup stylist. Visit a department store beauty counter. Ask a well-put together friend for a tutorial. Take notes. Here are a few basic guidelines to keep in mind.

Foundation Careful selection of color is essential. Remember, what looks good in January, may not in August.

Reevaluate color often.

Apply with sponge or fingertips. Dot foundation in the shape of a 'T' from forehead to chin. Then blend outward. Don't apply pressure to skin. Be sure you don't leave a 'defining line' along your jaw line.

Blend any line with a tissue.

Eyes Eye shadow is available in complementing multi-tone color combinations. It's a good idea to buy these sets, rather than individual colors, if you don't trust your own beauty know-how.

Swipe applicator across lightest color, tap off excess powder, and sweep across lid to brow bone working from the inside out. Accent with medium tone from middle of lash to outer edge of eyes. For a smoky, night time look, use a third color as an accent. Blend colors with your pinky.

Cheeks Using a full-sized blush brush, apply blush to brush, tap off the excess, smile and sweep color gently from apple of cheek to temple. Soften color with a tissue, if needed.

Powder Loose powder sets make-up and extends its wear. Gently dust your made-up face.

Lips Last Liner and lipstick are your last step. Apply and blot with a tissue.

Less is more...really! Avoid looking overly made up. Too much make-up can look worse than the flaws it's intended to hide.

Practice, practice, practice. Do you remember how much fun it was to play with make-up as a child? Recapture that fun. Play around with different looks.

Hello Darling Gorgeous Girls,
I do apologize for being tardy in updating the site with tips and treasures for you but my social calender has been so hectic as this time of the year there is always a charity event or a social event that every girl must attend but I have found a few moments and will leave you with a few tips ...

 HOW TO SHAPE YOUR EYEBROWS:

Eyebrows can make your face as they frame and enlarge your eye  A bit of shaping can change the way you look .They can hide your flaws and enhance your beauty spots.

The beginning of the eyebrow should be in line with the inner corner of the eye and should end just beyond the eye . A perfect arch.

The greater the distance between the two eyebrows the wider your nose will look.

Tweeze hairs on nose-bridge (if any) immediately too unsightly

Remove hairs that are obviously outside the natural shape

When tweezing remove a few hairs from one eye the alternate to the other

Word of Warning : Do not get carried away and over tweeze as some times the hairs will not grow back. If you are not sure you CAN do it correctly Don't feel bad as I myself am abit wary of the over tweeze as no girl wants to have to paint on eyebrows ewww that just sent a shudder through me lol.

My personal advice to any novice tweezer is to have it done by a professional it isn't all that costly around 10.00 to have it done depending on the method. Then you have the shape and then you can maintain the shape by tweezing the regrowth yourself as it appears.

Methods of brow tweezing:

Waxing: it is  basically the same process that is used on your legs

Threading: this is a method by which they use thread and the hair is positioned inbetween the thread and a scissor like motion is applied to the thread and it pulls the hair out . its pain tolerance is same as tweezing.

Tweezing: self explanatory I think.

Electrolysis : it is where a current is sent through the root of the hair to kill the follicle though several treatments can be needed . the major draw back is if you aren't happy with the shape you will be stuck with it forever  I firmly believe it is best left for unsightly hair that you would want gone forever ..

HOW TO LOOK LIKE YOU HAVE JUST STEPPED OUT OF THE SALON:

NEVER let a hairdryer be TOO hot or TOO close

The GREATER the volume you WANT the BIGGER the brush you will need

Hair longer than elbow length is too long

When drying hair always finish with a blast of cold air this will seal the cuticles and add shine . Don't buy a hairdryer with out a cold air option.

The optimum styling time for hair is when it is 85% dry  hairdryer = hair volume + a groomed finish  Drying hair with a hair dryer lifts  the hair from the roots and gives added body  Natural drying  promotes natural curls and waves. Don't Fry attack or over dry your hair Love your hair ..

Don't over wash your hair Excessive shampooing and styling strips the hair of its natural oils

Even if you are growing your hair it still needs trims  Split ends lead to unhealthy stunted growth and then where will you be????

To give hair added luxury and shine always do your final shampoo rinse with bottled water  it may sound decadent but tap water has a variety of different PH levels and some harm the hair  Using bottled water ensures a neutral balanced PH level  With in a month your hair will have a shine and improved lustre

Dry shampoo is great for reviving a fringe (bangs) which tends to get greasier faster as it is rubbed against makeup and forehead  apply a quick spray comb and have fresh hair that lasts all night..

If you are caught out in the rain a little trick for you is to find your nearest ladies room and use to hand dryers they  can change you from drowned cat to sex kitten again . Just hold your head under the dryer or if it has the front blowing option use it and dry your hair upside down  and it will add body to your hair.

Its not what you can do for Fashion....

Its what FASHION CAN DO FOR YOU .......

It will cheer you up when you are feeling blue .Life is hard fashion is not ..When down wear Red it will cheer you up and if it doesn't all the looks from the guys will as Red is the color men say they find most sexy on a woman...

It will transform your attitude and spirit  Nothing like a sleek pinstriped suit with a silk cami under the jacket or nothing if you are brave enough or a modern tuxedo with tall tall heels  and an envelope clutch to make you feel in charge.

It will distinguish you from others  Who is going to forget the person who know what to wear and how to wear it .

It will give you a reason to go out no since sitting on the sofa when  you have a fab dress just hanging in your wardrobe wanting to be shown off.

When all else fails it will give you something to fantasize about ...

It can make you laugh if in doubt look at pictures from your old year books and class pictures etc and see what i mean..

Some Rules of the Game:

Never do head to toe in one designer you will look like a walking billboard always bring a bit of you into what ever you wear be it your favorite pair of quirky earrings or a signature necklace  Having a personal sense of style and injecting your personality into something is key.

Mix high and low  ultraexpensive items with cheap finds in order to project a careless sense of unsnobby image.

Always have one ultraluxe item like a handbag a wallet or a belt or major jewlery to elevate your outfit you can wear rags but if you have a Berkin no one will ever know .One New York fashion critic likes to wear Wal-Mart with her five hundred dollar Celine platforms (lol her secret is out )

Save supertrendy items and easily identifiable items for 5 years after wearing them during their "it" season.

Never wear more than one trend at once Pick a focal point of your ensemble and build you rlook around it .

Own a trench coat Its the one classic thing that will always look chic and fresh

Dont wear mid-calf length skirts if you are short it cuts the leg off.

When in doubt a white button down shirt will always do Just add earrings high heels and anything from strands of pearls of different lengths to a great scarf tied on the side or in the back so that the tails hang in a seductive exotic way.

Walk with a purpose If you look confident people will think you are.

Never look like you are trying to hard  ELEGANCE should be EFFORTLESS

Mix and match your clothes throw on suits jackets with jeans and tanktops with pants

Wear a great bra at all times I CAN NOT STRESS this enough . Go to a lingerie store and get measured for your size  the right bra will keep you centered and high and well supported and will enhance your bust even if you have a smaller bust .

Do not fear color Embrace it Just not too much of it .

Avoid panty lines and camel toes at ALL COSTS THEY ARE WRONG WRONG WRONG

Wear your clothes  Dont let them wear you Know what works on your body and what doesnt and only buy something you love Just because it is trendy does not mean it is good......

Cinnamon Bark extract: it is basically a heat rocket as it elevates your thermogenic effect on your body and so it makes you burn fat faster.
