"Me, I'm dishonest. Dishonest men you can always trust to be dishonest--honestly! It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never tell when they're going to do something incredibly stupid."
What’s left of you that is… If you’ve stopped reading my blog by now—I totally understand. It’s been what, 4 months since I wrote last? On the other hand, if you stopped reading my blog, then you're not reading it now and it doesn't matter if I understand or not.
Yes, I do have a facebook...look me up (Kevin Willis)!
My life has been very busy since June. The day of my birthday (June 17) I left to go work at a camp in Wisconsin. I spent 7 weeks there and had the best summer of my iife. I was a part of "Service Team" as they called it. We moved hay (55 tons of it), lifted 300 lb. concrete well covers, mowed lawns, served dinner to campers, unloaded buses, and did anything else that needed to be done.
There were 14 of us on Service Team. 7 guys and 7 girls. We had a lot of fun workng together and all became very good friends. There was also this one girl on Service Team--her name was Coray.
When I got home from Wisconsin I got my Water Safety Instructor certification (I can teach people how to swim), I got my driver's license, I learned how to slolom water ski, and I got a job, and I started school at UNLV.
College, surprisingly, is a lot easier than I expected. It's the daily 4 hour commute that kills me.
I ride the bus to school. On the bus, I've met very interesting people. Once this guy asked, "Dude, can I use your phone to call my dad? I just got out of prison." I, completely calm replied, "Sure, here you go." After he talked to his dad he told me his name was JR. He and his buddy Snake just finished a 22 month term in prison, and they were heading up to Northern California to "get our resources together".
Once I was offered a job at the House of Blues as a sound technician. His name was Larry, and I met him on the bus. Unfortunately I couldn't take the job because you have to be at least 18 to work there. Larry thought I was a 19 year old sophomore in college.
I told Sarah I was gonna post on Monday...so here I am. With an hour to spare too. I hope you're happy Sarah.
Xanga should make a remote updating service. Something easy. Say I want to update...well, I just type up my update, and email it to my site. Bang! no need to go to my site, sign in, bother with the weird smiley faces, or all that other stuff.
Just like a drive-thru huh?
I'd like a cheeseburger please.
I know what you're thinking.
Wednesday i leave for Iowa. I come back on Saturday. Next week I have VBS all morning, and Driver's ed all afternoon. The week after that, I leave. Forever.
I finished my Constitutional Law final today.
Highschool is over-rated.
I love water. Just can't get enough of that stuff.
I think I should do one of those "what TV channel are you?" or "what bumper sticker should you have?" things...
My eye is much better by the way. Thank you all who prayed for me. Turns out I just over-wore my contacts. Of course, that means that my cornea started deteriorating and breaking down, but there won't be any permanent damage.
1 more day of school
2 more weeks till I leave forever
3 more months till I start school again
4 letters in that number
5 more years till I'm done with school.
6 strings on my guitar
7 flashlights that work
8 hours of sleep I usually get
9 is the bomb
10 years since 1st grade
11 the same as 1 squared. i think
12 hours of sleep I'd like to get tonight.
13 more days till I'm 16
14 I had something for this...I just can't remember
I apologize for making you all read that post. But, since it's a fairly accurate representation of the state of my mind, I'll keep it.
It is time to resurrect my blog. Summer is upon us, and the end of school is in sight. You know, I actually had to think twice to remember my password when I signed in just now. Last time I wrote was February. What have I done since then?
I finished Rhetoric last week.
I finished Latin on Tuesday.
I finished Calculus on Wednesday.
And after Monday, I’ll be done with Physics!
Until then, studying like crazy.
Highschool swimming started in March. I swim for my local school Palo Verde. We had a meet every single weekend since the season started, and today the season ends. The Regional meet is today. Palo had a great season, so far we are undefeated! And we are almost assured of winning Regionals and State for the 7th consecutive year.
I’m now officially on the Church worship team. I play the keyboard now; so I get to play all these cool instruments. I’ve played an organ, an orchestra, an electric piano, bagpipes, and something called “Dream voices”. Pretty cool huh? Yeah, except for the part where I have to learn 8 new songs between Thursday and Sunday.
Next weekend we move into our apartment, the week after I do my driver’s ed course, the week after we go to Iowa to visit grandparents, the week after is VBS, and the week after that I leave for Wisconsin until August 6. After I get home, I go to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents, then I take my week-long WSI class, then I get my driver’s license, and I start school at UNLV.
So…what are you doing this summer?
That’s about all the news I have.

What have I been doing? Let me think...school, school, and school. (cue tears of, umm...oh yes, it must be joy)
I have made some good friends though. Please let me introduce you to Dr. Calculus and Professor Physics! Yes, we've spent a lot of good quality time together.
Why haven't I updated in a month? Well, see, Dr. Calculus and Professor Physics are very demanding friends. In fact they require my complete and undivided attention.
When I started this Spring semester, I decided I was actually going to do the hw for these two courses. Last fall, I didn't do the hw in either of them, and I barely passed the midterms. Soooo, I've been working really hard on my school .
I think it's a shame that they don't have a more grotesque smiley face-with-a-tongue-sticking-out. that just looks like I'm being impudent. Let's have a smiley face with more feeling! SAY NO TO MEDIOCRITY!
What can I say now......what do you say when your life is so monotonous? Oh, I discovered a new band: Daughtry. Goooooood music. In fact, I'll even post one of their music videos for you.
I've also learned how to play How to Save a Life on the piano now. I'm working on learning how to play the Guitar...just the basic chords. Mr. Monk should take sedatives. I always like Sundays.
I hear that facebook requires less time...should I get a facebook?
I think today we have an outrageous overuse of "lol". It has become quite a cliche. Who ever would have imagined that someday there would be a cliche that no one ever says? That's so strange.
A month ago it was Christmas Eve! To comemorate this memorable occaision...
pictures
Whee.
Oh, look, an almost-normal picture of me! Where'd that come from?
I just remembered I was tagged for this. I DID cheat. A little. See, I did this the first time, and no interesting titles came up. So I gave it a second shot...and this is what I got. If my cheating deeply offends your innate sense of justice, then I might post the original for you.
1 . Put your music player on shuffle. 2. Press forward for each question. 3. Use the song title as the answer to the question.
NO CHEATING...
