I have been inspired by mymeanderings to start taking a photo a day. I havent been using my camera and I feel like something is missing from my life. Yes it sounds lame, but it's true. I didnt realize it until I went outside for only 5 minutes with my camera. I felt like a void was filled. Like I captured something important: texture, light, color, life. God's creation.

So here is a start.

I am terrible at keeping up with this. Quick update on Abby's life.

1. I've been accepted to BBC. Im coming to PA in August!

2. I bought a laptop.

3. Im a waitress at pondo, and I still work the buffet.

4. Ive neglected my camera.

Having this camera is so amazing. Yesterday I realized how I could take photos faster then with my other camera. It took me forever to get the focus right with the other one.

The weather was perfect yesterday, although it was slightly cold.. I was worried when she asked me to take them because the scenery is pretty drab around here without snow.

As always critique is welcome!

ps. I loooovee this camera.

*Edit* - I uploaded them by xanga and now they are to small.. hmm.

I took some senior photos of a friend today. We went to a few spots (I'll post more photos later). After coming out of one the trails I saw this building with grape vines on it. They turned out really well.

Guess who has a Nikon D40x? Yes I finally bought my first SLR camera. I cant wait to take more photos. You can do sooo much with this camera. I'm glad I started with a P&S and learned the manual on that camera, and then went to this Nikon camera. I cant wait to get it all figured out!

What else is new? Well I've decided on a college. I plan on going to Baptist Bible College in PA. I'm thinking about going for their office professional degree and get some business classes out of the way. But it all depends on what and where God leads me. I would love to have an occupation that involved photography.

I've also been working a bit. But soon i'm hoping to cut down on my hours to fit another online class. I've been working 2 days and 2 nights a week. Its definitely a change from last year. But its been good.
