| When the Sky Comes DownLost in the mists Shadows crowd the truth out. Obscured by human dust, It lies just out of reach.
Out of my mind, Opened up to madness, With my familiar lies, I lie just out of reach.
I'm reeling from what I have been, And crying to the sky again.
Bring it down to me: Blissful epiphany, 'Cause there's nothing I can't see When the sky comes down.
Beside but far away, Distant but so close now, You want the meaning now, But it lies just out of reach.
Underneath the sun, You feel so unwanted. You want to feel their touch, But you lie just out of reach.
You're reeling from what you have been, And crying to the sky again.
To bring it down to you: Something that is true, 'Cause you always feel made new When the sky comes down.
When understanding's passed, And sanity is gone. Nothing's left except the hope That answers lie beyond.
So bring it down to me: Blissful epiphany 'Cause there's nothing I can't see When the sky comes down.
When the sky comes down.

| This is something I wrote last quarter at college:
Community Collage John’s been going down in flames Playing all the people’s games. Pulled a heist With the antichrist. Stole Bibles from a pew.
Now Peter Pan is out of form Inside his semi-ancient dorm. “Dorm’s a mess,” Said The Prophetess Who held it in her view.
Turncoat’s crying now because That no matter what he does He won’t let Himself forget The things he’s always done.
And The Lawyer's always prone To read you writing off the stone. Black and White, Day and Night, It’s always shade or sun.
I felt this in my bones When I walked the cobblestones. Rocks cried out A grinding shout, For the witnesses were gone, And truth was hard to find, But there was just enough of it For me to change my mind.
The Prophetess can spread the curse Like lipstick from inside her purse. Take a ride In cyanide That flows inside her veins.
Misty Boy makes up his mind Then bends the truth so he can find A kindred one Where there was none. As he smokes out his brains. The Minstrel has it figured out Confidently not in doubt. Need not defer. Too popular For even his own good.
While Quiet Type keeps his mouth shut. Perhaps he doesn’t have the guts. To even say, To even pray, To just be understood.
I felt this in my bones When I walked the cobblestones. Rocks cried out A grinding shout, For the witnesses were gone, And truth was hard to find, But there was just enough of it For me to change my mind.
The Pharisee will stone the saints To cleanse imaginary taints. Wrapped in these Phylacteries, He doesn’t know the core.
Quixote makes up beaming prose And fights for harlots that he knows. As he kills Some more windmills As savior of the poor.
And Joe’s been living off his dad For all the good he ever had. He can’t deal ‘Cause he’s not real. He doesn’t have the right.
All this as the jumbled crowd Makes its shrieking music loud. Charlatans And harlequins Still dancing in the night.
I felt this in my bones When I walked the cobblestones. Rocks cried out A grinding shout, For the witnesses were gone, And truth was hard to find, But there was just enough of it For me to change my mind.

| Here are a few good quotes I've found:
G.K. Chesterton
"Impartiality is a pompous name for indifference, which is an elegant name for ignorance."
"When learned men begin to use their reason, then I generally discover that they haven't got any."
War is not 'the best way of settling differences; it is the only way of preventing their being settled for you."
"An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered; an adventure is an inconvenience rightly considered."
"Love means loving the unlovable - or it is no virtue at all."
"The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people."
"If there were no God, there would be no atheists."
"The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried."
"The riddles of God are more satisfying than the solutions of man."
"Idolatry is committed, not merely by setting up false gods, but also by setting up false devils; by making men afraid of war or alcohol, or economic law, when they should be afraid of spiritual corruption and cowardice."
Okay, that was more than a few quotes, but I thought they were good.
We had some friends over yesterday because it was Raegan's 16th birthday. It was nice: Raegan got a fair amount of loot and we got to eat barbecue.
Because the anniversary of the "Roswell incident" is in July we're having a couple of friends over to watch old sci-fi movies and some "Invader Zim" next weekend (the 15th and 16th).
Here's a neat site for you guys to check out: http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/
That's it for now. I'll post more later.
