A few pictures are now available to see at http://usera.imagecave.com/Adamae/II%2DPhotos/ (or you can just click on the link on the right under "visit my website" and then go to the Photos Album).  We hope to have more up soon, especially one of all three of us together.

Melissa and Andrew have an announcement to make.  Little baby Lindon Lamont Adams has arrived!  To see him, visit www.HospitalPortraits.com, click on "Web Nursery," and search under his name (or put in the date March 31, 2005 and select him from the list).

Hey, it's kind of nice to be here again; to take this moment to update.  Then again, it's still true that "Adamae" is dwindling in its usefulness.  Honestly this probably never served much purpose at all, but this is more apparent of late, in that we've had no time to notice our computer, let alone our weblog.  Most likely this was always the case for our so-called readers.

For said reasons this won't give much insight into our goings-on.  To sum it up, we've been caught in routine.  Melissa has less energy lately because the baby is getting heavier to carry around and harder to keep "quiet" (he seems to hold a lot of parties in that little space of his, with much wiggling and kicking involved).  Still, she keeps her students going and her husband besides.  Speaking of him, he's stretched fairly tight between work and school--particularly Latin, which is his best and worst class.  When they named it "accelerated," they weren't joking.  But he's enjoying everything, despite having little time outside this and homework.  Occasionally one of us will pine for the other's attention, not being used to competition, and such moments together are naturally precious.  Video games?  TV shows?  Eating out?  Well, they're not entirely out, but they've fallen into their places, which is probably as it should be.

But we did manage to catch the opening of American Idol.

PS: Andrew came up with the name "Eden" for the baby (possibly spelled "Edan") and Melissa's not budging.  So hey, if you want to cast your vote, let us know where you stand on "Lindon Lamont" vs. "Eden Kincaid."  Of course, your opinions will make absolutely no difference, and when it comes right down to it, neither will Andrew's...or so he's been informed.

We apologize for being away so long.  This was in part because we've been so preoccupied, but also in part because this has yet to prove its worth.  It seems our family and friends rely on alternate sources for information about us, and that's assuming they want any to begin with.  So here's another entry to keep it fresh, but that's no promise as to how many more will follow.

December was a full month, complete with an early trip to New York to visit Melissa's family, frequent visits to Andrew's parents', Christmas shopping, failed attempts at service and caroling, game playing, candy making, and so forth and so on.  Highlighted without a doubt was our ultrasound; as we revealed in our Christmas letter, the baby is a boy!  It has been amazing to finally know more of our child's identity and to better prepare for his arrival.  Melissa's stomach is growing fast now, as is her maternity wardrobe.

Speaking of that Christmas letter, we hope none were excluded in our attempt to send gratitude, love, and best wishes.  Naturally we weren't able to reach everyone who has made a difference in our lives, but we hope everyone had a great Christmas and a great year!  Recent events such as this tsunami disaster have reminded us just how lucky we are to have all of you.

So now it's 2005 and we're excited for upcoming events...but also sad to let vacation time go.  Oh well.  Time for Andrew to begin Winter Semester at BYU and for Melissa to get back to work with her students.  We expect this to be a great year, especially come April and the birth of our boy; we hope all of you will enjoy it also and achieve all that you hope to.

Andrew is typing this entry and will need to do so quickly in order to get to bed to get to sleep to get up on time to get to work....His energy was semi-depleted last night when giving blood with Red Cross.  The blood-giving was actually already completed, but when asked to raise his arm after the needle was removed, he managed to wheeze something like, "I feel dizzy" before going unconscious.  He doesn't remember anything after that, except for a very enjoyable and relaxing dream from which he awoke quite rudely, finding his wife and four white-coated strangers standing above him.  Melissa looked quite scared and everyone was saying his name, asking him all sorts of silly questions.  Then he realized he was going to vomit, warned everyone, and was fetched a bag, into which he did indeed expel some fluids.  After that he slowly came to, experiencing brief lack of sight and sound, and the strangest tingling sensations throughout his limbs that caused his fingers to curl, then expand very tightly.  Some talking, some juice, and some pretzels later, he was good enough to drive home.

As a side note, he is telling this story out of pure enthusiasm, having never fainted before, nor experienced anything quite like this.  In other words, he seeks congratulations, not sympathy (sarcasm is fine).  It was quite exciting, after all.  Not unlike his first Red Cross experience in Ithaca NY, where he and another missionary provided service to volunteers.  When the line began to lag they were invited to give blood and did.  Andrew's artery was punctured instead of his vein, and so naturally the process was over in a matter of seconds, his donation already full.  This created quite the stir, but for some reason he felt perfectly fine after some snacking.  Strange that last night's experience--when the blood was drawn correctly--affected his system much more dramatically.  Then again, he probably didn't eat very well beforehand.

So anyway, aside from this, the week has been relatively uneventful.  Melissa currently suffers from repeated visions of Andrew's lolling head, but is otherwise doing very well.  The great news is that she's starting to feel the baby (you remember Lemon) moving around a lot; she claims it is engaged in a workout of some sort, perhaps preliminary Wushu.  Andrew cannot feel these movements yet, at least not without pressing firmly at the uterus, and only by invitation (all other attempts are met by severe stares and threats of violence).  He is now attempting to communicate with Lemon via morse code.

And finally, believe it or not, Andrew has changed work once again, having found the place that will (supposedly) provide greater longevity.  This is with Heritage Web Solutions, a custom website design and full-service hosting company.  He was sad to say good-bye to Toys-R-Us, especially so soon, but it was for the best; already he was eyeing certain toys with feverish intent.

Note: The contents of this (or these) entries might appear drastically different if written as Melissa's account.  It should not be inferred that their contents represent the complete attitudes, activites, endeavors, goals, goings-on, etc. of either member of the couple, but are instead minor and random samples of such.
