  • The Secret (Shhhh!)

Ha, ha! Maria doesn't know it (though she suspects it), but I went out and got some chairs for our dining room table and computer desk--finally! What's best is that they all cost ten dollars a piece. Perhaps it is a human institution, but I tell you that Salvation Army thrift stores are a gift from the Lord for people like me. Okay, so the chairs don't all match, and two of them are not the best quality, but heck! They will do the trick for now.
As for the computer desk chair, it's not something that one would find at Wal-Mart. It has a little character, but I like it a lot. And by character, I mean it's kind of fuzzy and brown. At least it didn't have animal hair all over it. I would never stoop so low.
You should have seen the other furniture store that I went to. Holy cow. The cheapest of the cheap was about the price of all the chairs combined. One day, when I have more in savings and a good paying job, I shall go out there and buy all the danged chairs that I want. But until then, my salvation is salvation (Salvation Army, that is).

  • Put One Foot In Front of the Other

And soon I'll be walking out the door! That is, to work. All right, I brought out the anti-bum guns. That is, I now have a resume that will be fully armed and operational. I can't wait. I am so very sick and tired of being the "house husband" as I so lovingly call myself. There really is nothing worse.
    I'll be back...

  • New Site. Rather, Same Site (New Look)!

Hey, anyone that is out there reading my blog! You must look at the main page and tell me if you like it better than before. I can always try and change it back, but I like it personally. Tell me what you think.
Meanwhile, life is good and I am high. High on life, that is! Wheeeee! Later.

  • Construction and Destruction

Hey, look! I am changing the looks of my site around. The catch is that I don't have internet in my home right now, so progress is slow. Not only that, I really don't have much to say, so it's a catch 22. No it's not, but it's fun to say. Ha, ha! Later.

  • Major Life Changing Decision in Less than Five days

In two days, I journey to my future bride's house. From there, I will wait less than three days to be wed. For the first in time in a very long time, I will not be counting down to a "days until we're married." Most of you already know that I've been counting for over five hundred days, and have been engaged even longer than that (and have wanted to marry her for ever longer than that still), but in case you didn't know about that, just try to realize that an eternity has finally passed. At least it feels like I waited forever.
In retrospect, I can say with confidence that being engaged for close to two years is no picnic. But then again, a commitment to stay with someone for the rest of your life is not a picnic either. As dictionary.com says, a picnic is, "1.an excursion or outing in which the participants carry food with them and share a meal in the open air." Picnics do not take much patience, nor do they take much commitment.
Why am I bringing this up? I don't know. However, I will be taking that sweet girl on many a picnic as my wife. Mmmmm. Zesty.

    ::EDIT::
In celebration of a major life change, I think that I will make a major xanga change. Should I do an extreme makeover to this site, or should I make a new site altogether? Tell, tell.

  • Prince Caspian and 15 Days.

For a good while I have been writing mostly about my upcoming marriage. Rightfully so, as I will be married in fifteen days. However, I will take a quick detour and write a movie review (spoiler alert!) for the movie I just saw last night: The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. Enjoy.

Spaniards fight each other, and Aslan saves the day. Do you know Aslan as your lord and personal savior?
