So I'm trying to convince myself to go to the gym tonight.

I really need and want to.

After all, we pay $49 per month for our membership. We were for sure when we signed up, we would definitely go since we were actually paying money for it.

But that hasn't happened.

And honestly I doubt I'll make it to the gym.

Too much to do, too little time.

And I've thought all year that when our commitment is up, we won't renew and waste all of that money.

But then I think, oh man, but if I ever want to go, I can. So maybe we should keep it.

But I probably won't go any more than I do now.

But oh well. At least I get a cool little tag on my keychain for right now, huh?

Spread Out

So my online blogging habits have been very spread out lately. I posted some thoughts on MySpace, a lot of pictures on facebook, but comment to people on Xanga. What can I say, I'm a true product of our culture. Pick and choose what we want to use and how much.

Life is good. The past day or so there have been extreme highs, but then some extreme lows to couple with it, but that seems to be the name of the game with life. But it's ok, but if having some lows make for a higher high, then I'm ok with it.

Man it sounds like I could be talking about drugs, but I'm not.

So yeah, those are my thoughts for the moment. I thought I'd update this before a whole month has gone by.

This has been one of the best weekends I've had in awhile.

Nowhere to rush off to. Time to clean my house and get some of those little projects done.

Time to spend with my husband.

Time to see 2 movies back-to-back, both of them being good.

Just more time. Oh how I've missed it.

A Whole Month

I cannot believe it's been a month since I posted last.

I'm experiencing the craze of the advertising agency world right now.

But I do have to say I feel very blessed that it's not like this all of the time, like it is at other agenices around the country. Those agencies give the agency world its stereotype.

Unfortunately right now, I think ours is fitting the stereotype.

I've been in a picture-posting mood lately. Not sure why. But courtesy of Mike Sense, this was taken just the other night. As he liked to call it, the Burgess tribe.

Life is good. The house is getting set up. Now if only our couches and my bedroom dresser would come. But Mike and his buddy George helped hang up some shelves/pictures, etc. this past weekend, so I'm feeling better about it.

I'm going to the dentist on Friday, haven't been in a long time. So that will be good.

We're doing the simulcast thing at church. If you're interested in being part of the team, just let me know. It would be awesome to have a strong presence of young adults/young marrieds there! Wa Hoo!

Man it's hot! I'm thankful I'm not working summer camp today. Or a radio station remote.

Ahh, here is a visual update of what's been going on....

We went to the Omaha Zoo with my cousin and her husband over Memorial Day weekend.

We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary a little over a month ago.

We hung out with Darren when he came home!

Em and Brandon got engaged and we all celebrated! (This is an old picture, but my camera died when we tried to take one of our group.)

Oh, and we bought a house! We move in a few short weeks!

Has everyone switched to My Space? I feel so lonely on here. But for my faithful xanga-ers, I'll give an update.

Work is going great. I love my job. I feel like I am being able to use my skills and talents. I love that. But the best part about it all is that I know that it's where God wants me. I've been able to make some great relationships with my co-workers, and just getting to know them and their hearts confirms why I am there. I feel so blessed because I do love my job and feel like my ministry is there too.

Mike is even better than work. We felt like year 1 of marriage was so great, but I have to tell you... Year 2 has just blown me away. We have both been growing so much and having the best time. Communication seriously is the key to any relationship. He gets out of school on Thursday, yay for making it through the school year! On to your desires....

TV. We have become major junkies. It's so good! We're currently looking into the prices of either adding digital cable and getting DVR through Time Warner, or just going ahead and getting Ti-Vo. Either one, we need to do it. Our friends Darren and Daren have been on several shows, and our VCR - with the timer set on the daylight savings time and the broken remote that won't fix it - is just not making the cut. Stay tuned to know what happens with that...

Summer. Even though I don't get to not go to work, I'm still going to try and have a "summer." Some of the plans in the works: a trip with the family to Willmington, North Carolina... and before that, finishing the Dawsons Creek Season DVDs, finish reading Blue Like Jazz and Velvet Elvis, seeing several movies, attending weddings, getting in shape, eating smores, and last but not least- starting up my Mary Kay business!

Well that's about it for me. I'll post some pictures once I get a chance to take them off of my camera. Until then...
