  • Girls at higher risk for PTSD?

Are girls at higher risk for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?
    Is this a fact?
    Have studies proved this?
If it is true, then why?

    Every year
You would take us to Stonybrook Farm
We would first go through the corn maze
    Then we would pick pumpkins
    Next was the Alien Invasion
    Followed by you buying hotdogs
After that came a trip through "Alien Invasion"
And the finishing adventure was always the hayride

I refuse to revisit Stonybrook Farm
Because I always want to remember
    Every visit there
Had you in every memory, every story, every image

You took Brianna, Victoria and Me
    And our bikes
    In your truck
    To Tyler State Park
We rode up to the top of the mountain
    And we took a break...
You packed lunch for all of us
    I love you
When we were heading back down the hill
I wanted to be the first one down
I was going fast as I could down that hill
You were telling me to put my breaks on,
Or else I would get hurt
    I didnt listen to you

    I took the turn
    I hit a rock [I think]
I flew over the handle bars
My helmet flew off [I loosened it, again I didnt listen to you]
I landed head first on the pavement
    You picked me up
Put your jacket on a big flat rock
And rested my head on your jacket [or so I think, I cant remember]

Eventually, we got down to the end of the hill
You bought ice cream from the ice cream man
    I couldnt finish it
I felt really guilty because you said I needed to eat something

This is my favorite memory, Dad...
Or atleast what I can piece together to form this memory....

  • Wonderful Guy...Bad Habit

    I met this guy.
    His name is Jack
    He is intelligent
    He is opinionated
    He is open mineded
He is interested in politics & environmental sciences
He is just as socially anxious as I am
    He is a Virgo
His birthday is 6 days before mine
    He has good conversational skills
He is interested in my opinion
    He is funny
    He can admit his flaws
    He can appreciate his strengths
He makes me feel better about myself
    He trusts me
    He respects me

    I met this guy
    His name is Jack
He was addicted to Heroine for 6 months
He now takes meds to prevent withdrawl symptoms
He usually takes 25% and sells 75%
    He smokes marijuana
    He snorts and injects coke
He doesn't do these things daily
His addiction to coke is arguable
He worries about my drug habits
He never pressures me into any of the drugs he uses
He asks me if I mind before he uses the drugs
    He has gone to rehab
    He sees a psychiatrist

    I like him alot
Its the first relationship since 9th grade that I care about
I wonder if his drug use will have an impact on mine
I wonder if the effect will be negative

    Thoughts?

  • Technology too Emotional?

Seems that Apple is coming out with an IPod that can sense our emotions... And predict what music would fit best. Awesome! Right?

So, whats so "special" about it?
This "XPod" will choose the genre of music you listen to based upon several factors... some of which include emotions and activity.

Ofcourse, you have to first program it, and it will pick up on basic things, such as heart beat, persperation and the like...

But I'm wondering... will the XPod, being a machine, not be adequit enough to determine the difference between intoxicated and sad, exercizing  and anger?

Who knows, but I'm absolutely positive that it will be the next big crazy... just like the IPhone...
