    Been a while...

Must be my really bland, ordinary life... Here's a snippet of writing I did... just explaining some description and imagery I'm working on lately. I feel... meh... about it, but... oh well.

Oh and I did write a new song, but, I'm not putting it up here... I'm too attached to it.

The fire had regressed to ashes and was emitting a low glow. Kaikuro was staring into it with his single eye, the red heat of the firelight casting a bright reflection in the deep indigo in his iris. His body was hunched so he could rest his chin on his knees whilst his arms were wrapped around his legs. His dark hair on the back of his head and his cloak which enveloped his body was nearly invisible in the black shadow of night.

He did not speak to her or look at her. Instead he remained in his pose, breathing quietly the scent of the burning logs.

A chill wind wrapped around the two as they sat near the fire. The long evergreen trees above them swayed to and fro beneath a starlit indigo sky. Azura shivered and moved closer to the flames. She lifted up a log of firewood that Kaabel had brought earlier and tossed it into the low flames of the still burning fire. Ashes jumped and danced in the air like tiny orange fireflies.

    Music

Land of Dragons is a test peice that I composed yesterday. I'm currently refining it, but here's a preview of what it sounds like, sort of. It sounds a lot like Duke the Terrier, but it has a different twist in it later on.
I have a more recent version of it in my keyboard's user data, but I haven't recorded it yet. I will tomorrow, and keep you posted.

I rarely draw fanart, most of the time I'm drawing some sort of character (typically Kaikuro, *groan*), but I thought this one turned out rather nice. I'm so mean to Luigi... -_- Its actually the cover to my fanfic, Luigi's Dragons.

Speaking of Fanfics... this has got to be my favorite Strong Bad Email to date.

    Thoughts

This is probably one of my favorite original compositions. Any thoughts? I know, its terrible quality, I have the worst recording equipment in the galaxy, but its the best I could do.

I've been writing so much as of late, and drawing a lot as well. I haven't scanned any of my recent art though, and I'm too lazy to do it at the moment.

Nothing entirely special happened today, worth noting. Other then I was mighty surprised when my busy uncle called this morning. I'm aware that his new years resolution was to be more communicative, so I think he's accomplishing that.

I also found the sequel to the old game Paper Mario! Imagine that! The graphics are so much more advanced on the Gamecube (though I own a Wii, I never got into the Gamecube stuff.) The Wii can play gamecube games, but for the most part, I own a Wii because, well, its the best console ever made as of late... its just so simple, and creatively designed. I praise Nintendo for this accomplishment! (No one is too old to play video games, let alone the Wii! Its just amazing!)

    A little drawing

I drew a character today and as I was editing the drawing into Fireworks, I've come up with something that I was actually afraid of putting on here.

I am not gothic. I am not emo. I have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and I have no reason to posess such a dark world view as these people. But I chose this dark feel for this specific character, because it reflects his dark, painful experiences. He is not an evil character- but he is a dynamic character that starts out pretty twisted and ends becoming a wonderful person.

And yes, he does have a huge gash on his face under all his wild hair.

I just felt like putting it up here because its what I did today, that is worth noting. And I have nowhere else important to display it.

I think it looks almost like Jesus Christ during his crucifixion, but that wasn't originally what I was aiming for.

On a side note, I dug out a very old game that I used to play all the time when i was younger, and snagged an oppurtunity to play it for about thirty minutes. It brought back so many memories- I remember the music in it perfectly, oh and the bad graphics! I can't believe I used to think it had such amazing graphics when I was younger, but then again, the N64 was top-of-the-line back then. (Wow, do I treat 1998 like it was THAT long ago?)

Oh yes. I added a lot of my old compositions to my audio section, I still haven't gotten all the decent ones up there, but I hope to complete my audio archive on here sometime soon.

Most of them cut off early, because I'm afraid they may be stolen, so I keep them in their terrible recording format and I cut many of them off early, before they get to the true ending.

About Me

  • I'm writing 2 original fantasy novels (which I will post fragments of here) and multiple fanfictions. Find me at www.fanfiction.net/~aeolianmode . Mostly, I like cats, writing, composing, drawing, small animals, lemons, and warm fall afternoons. The most important thing about me is the fact that I am a child of God, and firmly believe that Jesus Christ has sacrificed himself for me, and His blood has clensed me.
