| Do you ever think of yourself when you see something that other people say reminds them of you?
Thanks to the condensed curriculum this year, I've been able to come up with several colorful illustrations:
Mondays: 9hrs of class--> Med school uppercuts me in the diaphragm. I'm bent over trying to catch my breath.
Tuesdays: 8 hrs of class--> Med school slams my posterior femur with
a bat. I'm flung onto my knees, bent over trying to catch my breath.
Wednesdays: 4 hrs of class--> Med school slaps me laterally across
the face with the dorsal side of its hand. I'm still trying to get my
breath, but it's not so bad today.
Thursdays: 9 hrs of class (including Mandatory Community service)-->
Med school takes its fist and pummels my face. Now I'm flat on the
ground.
Fridays: 4 hrs of class--> Just a couple of kicks to my floating ribs.
Sat-Sun--> Recupperation for the next beat down.
Swimming in knowledge could be fun, except when it's a tsunami crashing over your head.
Stumbling, trying to plant my feet on the ground to run the race, but it feels like i'm on the edge of tripping over.
But the good thing in med school is there are more people who play tennis.

| Way past the bed time.
Actually after praying about those "snubbers," they have actually
warmed up somewhat. I think that is actually a miracle. The day
after praying about that with my roomate, I saw both of them and we got
along semi-fine to fine.
8AM-5PM class today. Hours sitting in a crammed auditorium with about 6
inches of leg space in front of me. In elementary school I had enough
leg space for me now. But now I have enough leg space for an elementary
school kid.
Already I am behind on studying for today's material. Had a 2 hour long
social dinner. I think I am still on 4th year mode. Definitely time to
change that.

| Snubbed yet again today.
me: "Hi. I believe I saw your name in so and so's group."
guy: "i dun know." turns away.
monday update:
-orientation activities
-bar night like every night
tuesday:
more orientation- the first pep talk was about people to call WHEN you
get depressed. it was followed by a second talk with the same gist.
med school is not looking very bright so far. I better get to writing that reminder on why I am going to med school.

| I've been dropped in the inverse CCF reality. It's like joining a large fraternity and sorority.
Perhaps I should have bought some more stuff at that Polo outlet store.
Pre-med school week update:
Sunday- Church and lunch with Julie and Neil.
Ice cream social with GSP.
Dinner and drinks with 30 med student.
Thought of the day: Chit chat should be a class.
Those awkward silences can be killer.
Question of the day: What are people really interested in talking about?
Perhaps developing friendship is just the ability to stand silences
longer and longer. And the ability to be more comfortable with it.
