Thank you to all who have praying for me all this while. But it's not the end of the day. Backup plans, there are. :)
Being a M. Night Shyamalan movie, one would expect a twist to the ending but that is not to be in this movie. Contrary to many reviews out there... The Happening isn't really that bad, seriously serious. I thought it was quite enjoyable though it may a be a little too violent for some people.
Keep in mind, The Happening is not The Sixth Sense or The Village or any of those, so don't expect a twist. And because people expect a twist and it just doesn't happen, people say it's a bore to watch. The ironic part? People demand M. Night Shyamalan to deliver a different kind of movie but when he does, they ridicule him. Funny.
The Happening is gory, graphic, has a mysterious feel to it and sends an occasional jolt up your spine. I have to admit that this isn't an universally appealing movie but it isn't as bad as some have put it to be. All the actors did a decent job in making the whole phenomenon as realistic as possible.
I'll give The Happening an intoxicating grade of 7 out of a possible 10. Do watch it before it is pulled of the silver screens.

On another happening which is totally unrelated, I observed, well, a phenomenon closer to home. To say it is confined to a certain gender would make me sound sexist.
I was with my mum after watching The Happening when we wanted to spend some time at the MPH book store when we came came across MNG's store which happens to be having a sale. Up to 50% it shows. So my mum decided to drop by for a while.
I noticed the whole shop were packed with females from all ages and sizes. They were furiously(probably exagerated) picking among the clothes and in their arms were 5-6 pieces of garment. Maybe even more. It was as though MNG was giving out the clothes for free. Garments could also be seen strewn on the floor and piled up along the display area. They were selling for about RM25 per piece or more but that's not dirt cheap in my opinion to justify mass buying.
My mum joked about buying a piece that prominently displays the MNG brand so that others are aware of the branded garment we have on. This whole phenomenon, probably easier to comprehend than The Happening, is probably induced by a mixture of being materialistic and the herd mentality.
Like they say, 'As if there's free gold to pick up'. Teehee.
Oh yeah, I met and spoke to A. Samad Said at the MNG store MPH book store.
