Sewing...it should be titled Crochet :)

My newfound hobby is Sewing
Actually, my granddad bought me my first sewing machine at the tender age of 6/7....I did learn to sew. Both my mom and grandmom were seamstresses, my mom went on to be a hairdresses while my grandmom made all of my [including my cousins] school uniforms. Therefore, I guess that I am saying they greatly influenced my creativity. I use to look at them both sewing and gather the remaining cloth and make clothing for my babies. When I was in high school, she would make my uniform too long, and like and girl, I wanted it shorter. I and resew it. :)

Moreover, I learn to crochet when I was about 10 years old. When I was in the 7th grade, we sat common entrance exam to go to high school...much like regions here [or at least similar]....the exam is in like April/May. There are 2 more months of school, and you just sit around doing nothing. So the teachers came up with this awesome - totally grateful for - extra-curriculum activities. The boy did woodwork, while the girls learned hand work such as, crochet, stitching, embroidery, crocrus bag rugs, candles making and of course sewing. I did them all, including the wood work. Speaking of which, when my mom was building her house, I was quite intrigued by the carpentry. After the house was completed, I collected the scraps from the remaining bits of wood and made my very own study table.

I took these pic recently [enough] back in April.....
Showing off my crochet skills. I called this photo shoot ROUGE....playing around with camera...it claims to snap at any indication of a smile...it worked!!!!
Yeah, so...I made about 15 berets last winter...I used one of the pics to promote my site.. Thought it was pretty kewl, because it had my laptop and screen to showcase what I do mostly all day

Haiku

What is up, Xanga?
My it has been a while :)

Here is a Flash project, based on a Haiku.
Funny story about the specific haiku I chose, I babysit, don't know if i told you that before. Every night we reread before bed. The very same Japanese book we were reading was based on the same poet, but in this book they were rewriting his life as a fictional children book. I didn't even notice it was, until we had nothing to read, and went on to read 'about the author section'.

Here it is anyways:
