NOTES: Keichi Takashi. A simple 16 year old, who lived in Yokohama Japan. Everything in his life seemed to be going along quite nicely...That is...Until he heard about his parents divorce. They had been together for 17 years. All flushed down the toilet. It all started, when his dad, Shingo Takashi, 41, got stationed in the U.S. While he was there, he met a woman by the name of, Victoria Glades, 39. She was his new assistant at his law firm. Keichi wasn’t that popular at his school, Meiko Jr. High. His mom, 40 year old Hana, stayed back at their home, Yokohama…But that was where everything went wrong. Oh, so very terribly wrong.
And thus our story unfolds...
Cast:

Kyou Kusei-A Minor Character, Friend Of Keichi
Yuu Sakiimoto-Keichi’s major crush since 7th grade…Any Possible Chance Of Them Being More Than That? [I don’t know…Let’s find out..But really it’s up to me to deciede…*smirk* xD]
After Keichi had gotten home from school, he entered his living room. “Mom I’m hooooooome!!!” Keichi shouted, as he slammed his bag onto the floor.
“Welcome home, honey…Keichi dear go wash up for supper...It’ll be ready in a little while…” Replied his mother softly, covering the telephone with her hand. “Yes I’m sorry what were you saying? Uh-huh…I see…….” Then came a long silence. Keichi did as he was told; he did the same thing everyday anyways. He thought to himself, “I wonder who mom’s talking to? Hmmm…I guess I’ll just have to ask her when I’m done…Oh well.” Then he hurriedly went up the stairs, he was an energetic boy. After he had washed his hands he slid down the rail of the stair’s casing. HOP! He jumped off the stairs. His mom was still on the phone. “I guess I’ll just mosey on over to the computer for a bit. He signed on and checked his mail. He had 3 new messages. He checked the first one. It was from his dad in the U.S. it read,
“Hey, Keichi!
How’s everything going over there? Everything’s just fine over here! Well I’ll be coming home next week!! Can’t wait to see you and your mother!
Much love,
Dad
“Hmmm…” Thought Keichi. Dad’s coming home soon? COOL! Keichi loved his dad very much and of course his mom. But his dad, he just had a sort of bond with his father. He glanced at the right of the screen and he saw the date, "NOVEMBER THE 5TH!?! Today’s February the 19th!!” Then he checked his next e-mail. It was from his friend, Kyou Kusei. It read:
“Yo! Keichi, what’s up man? Did you hear about the new video game, I think it’s called, ‘Kingdom of Darkness’ or something? Well how about after school tomorrow we go check it out? I’ll talk to you in school. Peace out man!” It was sent to him just a few minutes ago.
The third e-mail was from the girl he had liked since he was in 7th grade, Yuu Sakiimoto. It was an invitation to her b-day party she had sent it to him the other day. It said:
Hey everybody (it was sent to everyone)! You’re invited to my swimming pool/sleepover party! Please read the following:
You’ll need: A swimsuit, a towel, a BIG appetite, some sunscreen if you want, and anything else you might need. If you want you can stay over or just have your parents pick you up at 8:30. If you’re staying over bring everything you’ll need for the night. We’re gonna have a LOT of fun!! Can’t wait to see you there. Please R.S.V.P to Yuu (that’s me :D) at 1-768-345-1094 by February 22nd the parties on the 29th. Bye guys! ~Yuu
Yuu was actually writing to him! He was so happy! Keichi was on cloud nine now. He drifted off into a sweet lissful daydream. He called Yuu.
“Hello? Sakiimoto residence how may I help you?” Asked the voice.
“Oh, uh...Hello this is Keichi Takashi. May I speak with Sakiimoto-san, please?”
“Oh...Uhhh ok? Hold on for a second please...Wait did you say Keichi?”
“Um… Yes I did...That’s me.”
“Oh, which Sakiimoto, my mom, dad, or me?”
“Wait...Me? So this is, Yuu??”
“Yeah!!! I thought you knew..??”
“Oh hey sorry I couldn’t tell it was you. Heh. Oh and yeah I was calling to say I could go!”
“Go…? Oh you mean my party!! That’s great! Thanks for calling sooner than later hahaha. Okay well if that’s all I’ll see you at school Keichi-Kun. I gotta go so…sorry…?”
“Alright that’s cool,bye.”
“BYE BYE!”
Keichi hung up. Then he signed on to AIM. He saw Kyou was on. So he IMed him.
“Oi, Kyou I got ur e-mail”
“—no--” “opps sorry wrong box” “oh and?”
“I’ll go with u after skwl 2morrow”
“kewl okay--”
--“KEICHI!!”
--“oh that’s my mom I g2g ttyl bye”
“l8r”
“yeah”
He signed off and walked into the dining room.
“Keichi sweetie…Dinner’s ready...” His mom sounded sad…Maybe it was the onions?
“Yeah okay. So what are we having today?” He questioned.
“Roast beef and mashed potatoes (His family was quite rich. His mom didn’t work. But since his dad was a lawyer he earned all the money) [Hey think about it…It’s JAPAN].
“Oh cool. Oh and umm, mom?”
“Yes, Hun?”
“Well you see I got this e-mail from dad...—What?! From your father?! What’d it say?!” Said the alarmed Mrs. Takashi, she practically jumped out of her seat.
“Uhhh...Mom what’s the matter?”
“What? Well...It’s just that...Keichi, son. How should I say this…? Well it’s just that...Your father...That is...Your father and I, we’re getting a divorce.” Sighed his mom.
“Yumm…Yeah this beef is really good, what kind of sp—AGHKK!!” Choked Keichi. “AHHKKKK!! ….”
“KEICHI?!”
“!!!!!” He spit out the piece of food that he almost died on. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘DIVORCE’?!?!?!?!! How can you say it so casually?! Why?! Why now all of a sudden?!?! When did you decide this?!” Yelled the p/oed boy.
“Over the phone just a few minutes ago...—“Said his mother patiently. He started screaming at his mother.
“Keichi! Calm down!! You’re just in shock is all. Please Keichi just listen!” Pleaded his mother, trying to calm him down. Then Keichi left the dining room confused, angry, yet for some reason…Sad.
Back in his room he played video games on his PS2. “GAME OVER,” is what it read. “Yeah...That’s pretty much how my life is right now...” thought Keichi. He stood up and fell onto his bed. He lied on his back. He picked up his darts and threw them at the ceiling right above his bed. [Why does he have darts above his bead?? o.O] It was a poster of a camp he went to that winter called, “Artic Art” “Follow you dreams. Be the artist you’ve always wanted to be. You’ll make it in no time! –Van, the man who lived a great life of art. Founder of ‘Artic Art’.”
