one year older..

i just wanted to say hello, how are you doing, and i miss you to all of my friends back home...i know i haven't been a very good friend to most of you in the last year and a half, but i hope that yall can forgive me someday if and when we have the opportunity to be friends again. i'm finishing up my final year here in japan, and by August of next year I will say goodbye for good to beautiful Kyoto. In two months I'll be heading back home to Houston for two weeks, from December 22 to January 7, so if anyone is interested in hanging out, i'm finally gonna start checking my accounts with a little more frequency. im still unsure if i want to start blogging here again or not, but temporarily i'll be checking this site somewhat frequently as well.

...guess thats it. yall take care and be safe, been reading on the news about lots of crazy stuff happenning back in the states...miss yall, and hope to see yall soon.

gap EXTRAslim fit jeans - holy crap! only in japan...

yeah...up in the sky, its a bird! its a plane! its...APAman!!

some of the americans here still like trick or treating =) there's a

recently went to the festival of the ages...basically a big parade honoring all the time periods that passed with kyoto as the capital of japan. badass warrior costumes, and some scarrrrrry girls!

a recent trip to osaka, to check out the aquarium and one of the world's biggest ferris wheels!

the reason i always shuffle my feet when i'm swimming in the ocean...cuz these fockers might be around =T

so...since they don't do the whole thanksgiving thing here (surprise, surprise...), they're already gearing up for xmas! o no, just realized i'm not gonna be able to go after-thanksgiving day shopping at 5am with my mom and bro...noooooo.....

OxFam charity pub quiz with the other JETS, ALTs, and random interested  Japanese ppl. here's a pic of the cool waitress with dreads

random shot of some "olbies" aka "older" JETS...hahaha...

a team of female JETS - aka the "genki gaijin girls" (energetic foreign girls), minus one californian

the winning team (not only the highest number of points, but the highest combined age too! haha...) aka "2N10S"

random craziness =)

the local yamashina couple

and my team - sadistic action =) don't ask, i wasn't the one who came up with the name. we did pretty decent, considering we had the youngest combined age...AND most of the questions concerned things that either weren't american or were about pop culture in the 70's and 80's...does anyone remember the 80's? hahaha.....)

that's all for now, thanx yall! check back soon for pics of beautiful temples and shrines, plus more cute pics of little kids =D take care, gnite
