why do they do this again???
parents. why do parents do the things they do?
as if there wasn't enough on my plate currently my parents are driving me crazy.
let me explain.
so we all the rental situation that is happening. i told the parents about the situation. parents agreed a move was probably the best decision. they knew i was looking for places. well...i found 2 places, have been approved by 1 since i turned in my app and then today happened...i called my current property management and lo an behold the MANAGER actually answered the phone which was miraculous on 2 accounts-1) that the phone was actually answered and 2) that the manager was the one who answered.
well.
when i asked the manager what steps i needed to take to make sure i was doing everything properly to move out she called me back and told me they could lock in the $15 more/month rate for the entire lease, instead of that plus the insane increase on the last month or two of the lease...
well...
i made the mistake of telling the parents about that.
however...i would like the jury to note that it's still cheaper for me to leave my current place than it is for me to stay here...why you ask? because one place is all bills paid except for cable and the other is all bills paid except for electricity but it's totally green and the city of big d has adopted it as their greenhouse.
so. apparently even though i broke down all costs for the parents, the wrong decision is that i move.
awesome.
no matter what i say, they don't want to have open dialogue nor do they want to affirm whatever decision i make. it's just freaking awesome.
so.
can someone tell me why they do this again?
they're not here to help me make decisions. it's not their decision to make however i feel like no matter what i do, it's wrong...i've always felt like whatever decision i've made isn't the one they want me to make...it's like they have these expectations for me but when i call them on it they have no idea what i'm talking about....
frustrated much.

i must find a place to live...
greetings friends...so...i must find a place to live. you see, my lease is up july 31 and my current property management has decided that upon renewal of my lease (should i renew) that the last month or two months of my new lease my rent will not only go up the $15 it's supposed to, it will go up an additional $130. isn't that awesome? just the best thing you've ever heard in your entire life?!? morons. it would be fine if they'd say, "we want people to move out so we can do renovations" or something like that...instead they just say, "we're not doing flat rate specials anymore." UMMMM EXSQUEEZE ME?
so. does anyone want to be roomies? :) any ideas about places to live in big d that are SAFE but also affordable? the village is not an option because those are the asshats that are going to jack up my rent. good times!
in other news...i think i have decided what i want to be when i grow up...before i share it though i have a bit of research to do to make sure it's possible and that i have a plan of action.
