| Life is going so fast these days. I've been off work for 2 weeks now and even though I am absolutely bored out of my mind most days the time has flown by. I spend most of my days sleeping. Pretty much my day looks like this...sleeping, eating breakfast, nap, wake up and say hi to Mike when he comes home for lunch, lay in bed for a bit, eat lunch, nap until Mike gets home, lay in bed some more, make dinner or eat what Mike made, watch some tv (usually while laying in bed) and then go back to sleep and repeat the next day. My problem is I only sleep for about 2-3 hours at a time due to waking up to either use the bathroom (both babies heads are on my bladder) or due to heartburn. I hate heartburn. No matter what I eat, no matter what I drink and sometimes even for no reason at all I get heartburn. I've been going to the doctor weekly now for about 3 weeks. Those appointments are fun. Go in, sign-in at the window, wait, wait, wait some more, get weighed (which I actually don't mind at all), give the lady my pee so she can put a dipstick into it to check for protein, etc (it's annoying to have to remember to pee in a cup and take it with you once a week), blood pressure check, doctor comes in, measures my belly, listens to their heartbeats, and 2 minutes later he/she is out the door. Actual time waiting = about 30 minutes average; actual time with the nurse or doctor = about 5 minutes total. The docs are telling me that I will probably deliver sometime around 35 or 36 weeks which is around August 3 through mid August. That is soooooo soon! I cannot believe they could possibly be here within 3 weeks. I am so not ready. Actually, I think I am kind of ready but their room is not. Other than clothes and receiving blankets we don't have much yet which is freaking me out. I have some more showers coming up so I'm sure it will all work out. I'm just the kind of person that would have this all done by now. Life is going to change so much for Mike and I here soon. It will be crazy. I can't believe we're actually going to be parents to two little girls. I have waited my whole life to become a mother, I just can't believe it's actually happening. Well, I think it's about time for that after dinner nap. :) |
