  • I Am Sick!!!

I had not been feeling well lately since the past few days. I was assigned to work yesterday and damn it was hell of a day. Encountered several persistent brats while I was working. Kids!!!! What can I do? Seriously, a lesson to be learnt. Never ever make mistakes right in front of kids.

I wasn’t in the right state of mind yesterday evening while I was working as I was feeling feverish. I made quite a couple of mistakes while working. The first incident was pouring the wrong sauce on the sandwich. The second mistake was pouring the wrong sauce and putting the wrong salad on the wrong sandwich. The third incident was I accidentally overturned a container of sweet corns.

So when the kids knew that I made the mistake on that damn sandwich, they tried to persuade Sam and me giving them the sandwich for free. In your dreams, kids! According to the rules, we aren’t allowed to do so even if there’s mistake on that particular sandwich. We are allowed to chuck them into the bin. Kids are persistent when they wanted something especially teenagers. When we refused to give them that free sandwich, they threatened to complain this incident to our manager and have us fired. I don’t mind if you are thinking of trying as Sam and I were not afraid.

If we happened to give them the sandwich for free, we are likely to risk ourselves for being fired rather than being fired for not giving them a sandwich. They even tried to brainwash us by telling us that we are still earning profit even though we don’t sell the sandwich. So, why bother to chuck it into the bin? We might just as well give them for free. Sometimes, I really don’t understand what’s going through their mind. They are just too young and naïve to understand how business works in the real world. I bet if one day there were in my position, they might be the blur ones to give customers free sandwiches when there’s mistake on the sandwich.

I am gonna have to work for another 6.5 hours today with Joe. Haiz … And not sure if I will be working tomorrow as I am likely to be called in to work last minutes if there happened to be lots of customers bustling into the shops at the short time. Dagmara and Meenu were the only two staffs arranged to work for tomorrow and Saturday. I am due to meet up with another landlord tomorrow for room viewing. There were three rooms available to be rented. But they were all under renovation. There’s a large room and two small rooms. The large room costs 90 quid weekly and the same room costs 80 quid weekly.

I guess this is all for now. Time to get myself prepare for work. I need to wash my hair. I am feeling slightly better now. Perhaps a hair wash will make me feel more energetic? Hahaha … Ciao~~~~~

  • Untitled

Guess what happened when I was browsing through the pictures uploaded some time around last Christmas? I had come to realise that some of the pictures taken were idiotic. Hahaha … At the meantime, I had also decided that I am gonna upload the pictures taken on my trip to Greece in a few days time when I am free from work. I will be working on evening shift from tomorrow till Thursday and keeping myself open so that Dagmara could call in and ask me to work last minute. Not very keen about this, but what can I do? I need extra money. My second pay is due to be out in a few days time. I need the money to buy some skin care products. I had laid my eyes on two Biotherm products on eBay.

Some of the power supply in the house broke down since yesterday evening. We can’t shower and cook. How pathetic. Hahaha … We had not been cooking for approximately a week. Sometimes, I had my dinner at Subway when I am working during evening shift. Sister had her dinner in office when she is working late shift. I was feeling slightly uncomfortable for not being able to wash my hair after a day work at Subway. But still what can I do? I am not keen of the idea of having to pour cold water onto my head for like 15 minutes.

It feels so great now after washing my hair when it had been greasy and itchy for the past few hours. I had my shower at the club nearby. It took me approximately 15 minutes to walk from home to the club. I had only been there twice in a car ride but never actually walk there from home. Sister gave me a rough explanation on how to get there. There are other shortcuts which could allow me to reach there faster. But since I am not so familiar with the way around, she directed me to the club via Priory Street. I was there earlier than housemate. I had waited for another 10 minutes before he arrived.

When I was nearly reaching the junction of Priory Street, I came to realise that I had left my hair brush at home. I did not bother to go back and get it because I am quite sure that I will be late. I was cursing inside my head while thinking on how to walk on the street with wet and uncombed hair. I did not manage to dry my hair with the hair dryer provided in the changing room as I was running out of time. Housemate and I agreed to be ready in fifteen minutes. It took me 10 minutes to wash up and another five minutes to wear clothes and hairdo (which I did not bother since I do not have a hair brush). Surprisingly, I was out of the changing room earlier than him by three minutes. He was quite surprised that I am quicker than him. Hahaha … He must have the impression that I am as slow as my Sister when it comes to showering. Flipping hell … It took my sister half an hour to get out of the bathroom every time. So, it’s best to get into the bathroom before she does or else you’re gonna have to wait for 30 minutes before you get your chance.

I guess this is all for now. My stomach had not been feeling alright since morning. No idea why. I had been having diarrhoea for a couple of days. Probably its time for me to visit a doctor.

  • MiniPod Removed

  • Freeport Braintree Outlet Shopping Centre & Oliver's Nurseries

I am kinda tired at the moment. So, I would only be writing a brief entry. I worked for 3.5 hours today from noon till 4PM in the afternoon. Went TESCO for groceries shopping after work and got some reduced price items. Hahaha … My overall purchase costs only 56p. I bought three boxes of pastries at 17p each when the original price had been 89p each. Bought a half-portioned cucumber at the price of 5p. Hahaha … What a good bargain!

Sister and I went to Freeport Braintree Outlet Shopping Centre and Oliver’s Nurseries. I was interested with a Lacoste bag which costs £24.50 when the original price should be around £50 each.  Sister offered to pay for £20 as my birthday gift and I pay for the rest. In the end, I gave up on getting the bag as Sister said that the price might go down by the end of Christmas sales. The bag which I was interested in was slightly the same to the bag in the picture below. However, the colour which I was interested in was not Apple Green but Baby Pink.

Hush Puppies is selling its trademark puppy at the price of £100 for the biggest size they have got. The size of the plush is about half of my body size. It’s triple of Lucky size. Hahaha … I was interested with a pair of Hush Puppies heels as well. I can’t remember the exact price of the shoes. Should be less than £20. Still, I left the shop without getting the heels. Before we ended our shopping trip, we went into a shoe shop which I had forgotten its name. It has got a pair of cute flip flops costing £24.50. It’s quite expensive for a pair of flip flops. Shall get it the next time if I happened to see it in any outlets. Hahaha ….

The Internet is really slow at the moment. Wonder what happened to it. I guess this is all for now. Can’t seem to focus myself on writing this entry. Will update the pictures taken at Oliver’s Nurseries when I feel like doing so. Hahaha …

Not sure if you readers have realised it, new lines of clothing had been updated. However, if you would like a proper glimpse through, you could always visit the Shopaholic's Therapy. Have a nice day!

  • Career Seminar

I am so exhausted after having to carry so much stuff while walking around Leicester Square. I went for a career seminar organised by Mandarin Consultant at High Street Kensington. It was drizzling when I came out from the building. The weather had been pretty dull since couple of days ago. Okay … Let’s talk about the seminar, shall we?

There were eight of us registering for the seminar. Most of them are Masters’ graduate. I am the only one with the lowest qualification which is an Honours Degree in Business & Management. Two of them are currently doing their PhD degree. Some had either completed their Masters’ Degree or still working on it. There is a lady who graduated from London School of Economics a year ago with Second Upper Class but still unable to get herself a decent job. Therefore, she attended this seminar hoping that there might be a shift towards her future career.

The programme was divided into two parts – seminar and assessment. The seminar was leaded by Carrie Waley who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mandarin Consultant. However, the assessment was leaded by infamous Gary Woodward who used to be the deputy director of Career Services at the London School of Economics (LSE). London School of Economics is one of the most prestigious universities in the Great Britain.

Basically, the assessment was a resume assessment whereby Gary would look at your resume and talk about it. He asked questions like which field am I interested in and what kind of jobs am I looking for? Graduate programme? Entry level programme? The way he asked questions was like you are going for a job interview. Hahaha … After questioning me, he came to a conclusion that there is quite a possibility that I could get into a graduate programme with the background and attitude that I have.

The seminar which I went to for today was free of charge. However, they do programmes tailor made to the needs of candidates. Let’s say, if a candidate is weak in the interview stage, they will then think of a strategy to improve your interviewing skill. However, I am not so keen about joining this tailor made programmes of theirs. Some people might be tempted. It just a matter of how you interpret the matter and situation. The reason why I am not so tempted to join the programme was because the fee was way too high. The whole programme costs £2,800. However, if you are still unemployed six months after you sent your first batch of applications, they will refund half of the fee which is £1,400.

Gosh … My mind is completely blank now. Hahaha … Its 1AM in the morning. Everyone is still wide awake at home. Hahaha … Probably overexcited with the idea that weekend has finally approached.

By the way, I had completely removed the previous uploaded songs in my MiniPod and uploaded a new batch of songs which I am addicted to recently.

PS: I think some of them don’t work. If they really don’t work properly by tomorrow, I will “repair” them.
