funny story

i had to turn in a little paper of sorts today for one of my classes. outside of reading the assignment it only took me 20 minutes to do.

well, it would have taken me very little time to do except that when i attempted to print it was telling me that there was no direct connection between the printer and the computer. after a few tries of restarting the computer, refreshing the printer, unplugging various things and shouting at the technology that was tormenting me i found out what worked. i picked up the printer, slammed it on top of my monitor and said there's your effing (yes effing) direct conection, now print my stinkin' paper so i can take a not stinkin' shower!

it worked. i just laughed.

then i took a shower.

had anyone been in the room at the time they might think i'm insane.

speaking of people in the room... we are getting a new roommate. this could be good, granted it could also be bad, but i hope it will be good.

the pens play tonight. they are playing the flyers therefore it is unlikely that we will loose. or in the terms of logic (which i cant stop thinking about) All hockey teams identical to the pens are teams playing the flyers tonight. Also, all teams identical to the flyers are teams that will loose the hockey game tonight. Therefore, all teams identical to the pens are non-loosing hockey teams in tonights game.  or something like that.

it's easier to say the pens are likely to beat the flyers.

yeah, logic is pulling my brain apart. you should see me doing devotions.

thats enough

just relaxing

i am at work. usually when i'm at work im doing school work. generally this is because i have a busy schedule. i work a total of 2.5 hours per night. i just spent an hour and a half playing spider solitare. hence, i dont think i'll be getting much done tonight. instead i think i will relax.

the pens won

devils, here we come

in physics lab tonight i made a pun and my prof heard it. for the remainder of the lab session he and i were playing games with words. i must admit, i like it when my professors think i'm funny.

for the record, beaver falls coffee and tea company it 20 times better than starbucks and 50 times more friendly. you should go there some time, its awesome. also, if you've never been to grandma's attic in downtown beaver falls, i suggest you go sometime. 'grandma' is the nicest little lady i've yet met (granted i dont really know that many little old ladies).

enough advertisement

i am realizing that God tends to take over when im extra busy and of course when he takes over everything tends to work out a little better. in a way that makes me wish i were alway really really busy so that God could always be in charge. but at the same time i know that when im not so busy anymore i will fight him for that control. i really ought to not do that.

alas. i shall continue to relax.

i have an odd schedule. tomorrow is a perfect illustration of what i mean. at 8am i have a physics test. at 1230 i have a test in bible 300 which is a 'how to think like a Christian' class (ought to be a really easy test right?) then at 230 i have one last lengthy quiz in my logic class (logic as in philosophy, not math).

i was talking to someone a few days ago about my schedule and they assumed i was undecided on my major. it makes me feel like im in high school again because my classes arent connected as much as they usually are. alas...

i went to swing city with erin last night (saturday). it was fun. apparently i was doing well cause people kept telling me i was... and they asked to dance again later.   i also learned a little cha cha with an adorable little old italian man

for the remainder of the night i shall be studying for all of the above. except swing dancing

as far as sleep is concerned, well ill get it eventually. the weekend has to come around again soon, right?

right

it's been a while

life is nice. it's hard, don't get me wrong, but it's nice simply because God facinates me in the way he works in my life.

i've been spending a lot of time thinking about my future. there are a lot of doors opening and i don't know where i ought to go.

today i got to hang out with three girls who are pretty much amazing.

now i'm at work.

i really enjoy the book of Philippians.

there's your update.

today was my first day of classes for the semester. it wasnt that bad. i actually think i will enjoy my classes this semester. i know for sure already that they're going to push me right on out of my comfort zone on a practical level.

yesterday mom and bob came to visit and to drop off my bike and new tv. they took me out for food and the hockey game which was only on in the bar where i'm not allowed yet. so every 20 min or so i'd check the score. turns out the pens lost in a shoot out. alas, they play again tomorrow.

this semester i get to work two nights a week instead of just one. yay!

today was really wierd. i woke up at about 730 and went to class. it became apparent to me that 8am physics may have actually been a good idea because the professor lectures at a very 8am speed. i bought what was remaining for books and i returned to my room. i didnt have class again till 1230 so i did my devotions and read and played some games. it was as if the day was over. but it wasnt. at 1230 i have a bible class followed by a ministry class which is then followed by my philosophy class.  after philosophy i went back to my room and did almost nothing. the day felt like it was over again. but its not. i work form 920 till 12. but then, and no sooner, the day will be over.

in short, i feel like i just lived three days in one, but its still monday.

alas, i must go read logic for some time... ouch
