This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear. Wow, what a hectic last few days. RA training ended on Thursday with an amazing dinner at Olive Garden with the Hill RD and RA's. It was great! All of my guys got in on the first day of new student registration. So far I have had a good time getting to know them. They seem to be great guys. Since getting ready for classes to start does not allow many new students a lot of free time, I have not had much time to hang out with them. I hope to do that in the future though.

Things are going really well. Classes started today and I actually am glad for it. The beginning of classes actually brings somewhat of a routine and a stability. I am excited about them. They are mainly business courses, which makes since seeing that I am an accounting major.

We are now in the midst of our Fall Bible Conference. Dr. James MacDonald has been speaking twice a day since yesterday morning. He is incredible. I'd encourage anyone to pick up some of his materials.

Anyway, I've gotta head out to dinner. Have a great evening everyone!

Tuesday, August 16, 2005

Dear Diary,

This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear. Today was another full day of RA training seminars. We returned from Mohican Adventures Camp near Canton, Ohio this morning and followed this by seminars until 9pm. I will say, however, that it hasn't been as tiring as counselor training week. They are both fun though. There are only two days left, tomorrow being the hardest, but I am looking forward to them. We are going canoeing on the Little Miami River tomorrow afternoon. It'll be fun. Anyway, I'm tired and the pillow is calling my name. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear after a very long absence. It's kinda funny that my last update was made before I left Cedarville for the summer and the next update comes after I have returned. I wasn't very faithful this with xanga this summer was I.

Anyway, I am here now and I am looking forward to what this year has to offer. I know that I will be busy with school and other extracurricular activities, but I hope, most of all, to grow in my relationship to Christ. I haven't done a very good job with my relationship lately. For those who know me I would hope that you will keep me accountable this year.

I hope all is well with everyone and the start of everybody's year starts off on the right foot. Have a great week.
This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear, after a very long absence. These last few months have been very challenging yet rewarding. I am in the midst of studying for finals but also thinking about the near future when I will be returning home. The day after finals, me and several guys will be going on a road trip starting this weekend. We are going to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />York, PA, where Mike lives, and then on the Baltimore to see an Orioles game. From there we will spend a day at the Capitol and then travel to Liberty University to stay with Brandon P. We also hope to see Keith K., Tyler M., and Emily C. when we pass through Greenville. The last leg of our trip will be from Atlanta then on to Gainesville where I get to see my friend Polly’s graduation. And finally, HOME SWEET HOME!!

I am so excited about the summer and what it could possibly hold. I am working at camp yet again and I am looking forward to what God has planned for the ministry there. I know it will be a great time.

Although I do not really want to look forward to next semester, I thought that I would mention the opportunities that I have next semester. I will be an RA in Carr 3 & 4, probably ministering to incoming freshmen. I will also be working with a student organization called CREW which attempts to promote the school to prospective students. It will be a neat experience. Anyway, I gotta jet. I’ll try to do a better job of updating my xange site from now on. I hope to see you Floridians soon! Have a great night!

This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear. It has been a crazy week so far and has absolutely flown by. I cannot believe that in four days it will be March. That means my birthday is close!! :) :)

Anyway, pray for Matt J. and I tonight because we are working at an event here at CU called Cedarmania. Over 1300 junior highers will be here tonight and tomorrow having a blast and learning about the affects of media on a person's worldview. Ask the Lord to give Matt and I patience and perseverance, because we will be working with them from 7 pm tonight to 6 am tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to it but I will need some help. Also, pray that the kids are receptive to the message that is presented by our president, Dr. Brown, tonight. Alright well, here I go!! Let's get 'er done.

I hope everyone has a great night and weekend!!

Sunday, February 20, 2005

Dear Diary,

This is anchormansteve speaking loud and clear. Well, I haven't done a whole lot this weekend. The guys that visited were pretty cool and I think they had a good time, atleast I hope they did. They left early yesterday evening.

Last night Mike and I just hung out. We went and looked around Best Buy for a little while and then we both sat and read books at Barnes & Noble. I know, it sounds a little geeky but I enjoyed just relaxing with a good book.

Today is going to be another busy day of homework. I have two tests tomorrow and I want to get started on a big project that is due right before spring break. I am definitely learning perseverance.

Well, I have really seen God work in my situation with school. I ended up not getting into UF, which was a big answer. The question now is whether He is telling me to stay at CU or if He wants me to go to another public school in Florida. However, I am beginning to think that I am supposed to be here for a little while longer, but I will continue to pray about it. I have to keep an open mind in this situation and just trust God. It's hard but I'm determined to do it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day of worship. I was a hethen today because I woke up too late to make it to church. Oh well, I'll probably go to evening service tonight.

Have a great day!!!

Thursday, February 17, 2005

Dear Diary,

This ia anchormansteve speaking live and clear. I always get excited when a professor cancels a class. Especially when it is a class like Western Literature. So, instead of waking up for an 8:30 class I got to sleep in. Oh, it was so nice.

I had a exam today in Spiritual Formation. My professor had us answer five questions writing a page for each question. We had an hour and fifteen minutes to write them. My hand has never been so tired, but I'm pretty confident about my work. I'm just glad that it is over.

Well, this weekend we are going to house four guys in our unit. Two are coming for the music showcase and the other two will be here for the engineering and math conference. It is always fun to get to know people that are looking at the CU.

I cannot believe it! Two weeks from tomorrow night I will be heading home for spring break. It will be so great to come home for a while.

Hope everyone has a great day!
