  • I'm actually doing this...

Once you’ve been tagged, you have to write a blog with 16 random things, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged. Don’t forget to leave them a comment (”you’re it”) and to read your blog. You can’t tag the person who tagged you.

1 - RANDOM: If you put me in a group, I'm usually the quiet one that doesnt talk up much (believe it or not).
2 - FACT: I do odd things during prayer. Uh, ask me about it in person.
3 - GOAL: Lead worship one day. I've been improving!
4 - RANDOM: I dont like getting wet (which includes swimming, beaches, pool parties). I like being dry. It's too much of a hassle to get dry after getting wet.
5 - FACT: I prefer not to eat Mexican or fast food.
6 - HABIT: I chew gum...a lot. I bet I spent hundred of bucks on gum. My habit is chewing gum after every meal
7 - GOAL: Go to Austrailia and worship at Hillsong church. Same goes to a USA Hillsong worship concert (hopefully in the fall?)
8 - HABIT: I AM THE WORST PROCRASTINATOR WHEN IT COMES TO SCHOOL. NO REALLY.
9 - FACT: It's a pet-peeve of mine when people dont capitalize "God". Wow I'm so holy.
10 - FACT: I think at times I have a minor minor speech impediment. lol.
11 - RANDOM: I've been talking in a chinese fobby accent to get better at it. Chinese accents are funnier than Korean, I have to admit
12 - GOAL: Graduate college with a degree. Please?
13 - GOAL: Continue pressing into hearing the Lord. Developing a more consistent intercessory lifestyle
14 - HABIT: I shake my legs. My parents hate me for it.
15 - GOAL: Harmonize. Sing better. Much better.
16 - FACT: I have very expressive facial expressions that apparently I subconsciously use. It's not very professional but apparently enjoyable to those who are watching.

    I refuse to tag people.

San Diego weather (85's during day, 65's during night) has the best weather in all of the USA probably. It's been like this for a month now (minus our minor heatwave) but it seems to be nice for at least another 10 days now! Dude, I dont miss Korea at all. And it sucks for those who are in LA/SF. Yeah, I'm rubbing it in. You're welcome.

    ------------------------------------------------------

Oh yeah, I dropped Ochem because I couldn't juggle both Chem lab and that monstrous class. I'm taking it second session. Dude, I got like mad mouth sores because of the stress it caused.

    ------------------------------------------------------

I love my co-leaders for Sixth college dorm team next year. I freakin love them. They bless me so much. Thanks Seth, Erica, and Grace.

    ------------------------------------------------------

Hillsong's new album, "This is our God" is freakin amazing. Thanks Joe for letting me watch the DVD. Ahhhhhhh! I've listened to it like 20 times so far lol, and still, Stronger is my favorite

Dude, I can sort of make Kimchi bokumbap! HAHA Well, my rendition of it.

    ------------------------------------------------------

I think my season with friendships is not over. DANG IT. God, You do realize this was not the plan. However, I'm quite anticipating how this all works out Lord, because, I kind of thought time would let things play out. I guess not! Yup, bring it on!

  • Wanna see my room?

For two/three weeks since I moved into my room I've been decking it out like no oher. I spent too much gas going to walmart, IKEA (freakin like eight times - and more to come), and the like. I now:

    • grow four bamboo sticks in my room (two bucks each at ikea)
    • three cacti sitting on my window
    • have a pretty cool wall clock,
    • three interestingly eco-friendly-but-nice-looking lights,
    • a total of four different lights (dont call me obsessive),
    • curtains,
    • a real bedframe,
    • a bookshelf,
    • a mini fridge,
    • my own blueish carpet
    • an odd table that i dont think really works well

I still need to put up a bunch of things on my wall but that will come later

those are pictures of "prayer" related things in the frames

I'm probably going to put up an insane amount of black & white pictures. hmm. still debating that one.

This was my decked out room last last year:

  • Stronger (from Hillsong "This is Our God" 2008 album)

    There is Love
    That came for us
    Humbled to
    A sinners cross
You broke my shame and sinfulness
    You rose again victorious

    Faithfulness
    None can deny
    Through the storm
    And through the fire
There is truth that sets me free
Jesus Christ who lives in me

    You are stronger
    You are stronger
    Sin is broken
    You have saved me
    It is written
    Christ is risen
Jesus You are Lord of all

    No beginning
    And no end
You’re my hope and my defence
You came to seek and save the lost
You paid it all upon the cross

Let Your Name be lifted higher
    Be lifted higher
    Be lifted higher

    -------------------

It's such a simple song. Very simple. Nothing "ohh la la" or "wow, that was super-original-deep", but this song caught my attention. I got to listen to it because of their Preview 8 (mostly acoustic) album that they have, having a lot of the songs they will feature in their official release in mid August. It was so..I dont know. Good. I may be a sucker to nice catchy tunes that stick out, but there's a lot of real truth packed into this song.

Sorry if you're not a Hillsong-liker (I know that many exist, and I see why) but there are many powerful songs that have captured my heart over and over again. They've brought me closer to the Lord and ministered to me in my times of need. This song, wow, I dont know. It captured my attention. Thanks Hillsong for doing what the Lord delights in. And for packing in the core message of the cross - and what it offers to everyone and anyone who desires it.

Same with Awesome God. Yeah, capture my heart mang.

    This is my summer schedule:

Actually, that looks really not-so-very hectic. But I'm going from UCSD to Miramar College, M-TH. And not to mention, yes, that's organic chemistry. And chem lab isnt simple like last quarter/semester. Yeah, I think I set myself up to be screwed over...majorly. At least this teaches me to sleep earlier. But no joke, I'm seriously scared of Ochem, and it's only been Day 2.

    --------------------------

Wall-e was a fun watch with some really interestingly deep stuff. Dude, watch it.

    --------------------------

I thrive off of starbucks venti cups with ice and water. I make it a personal goal to not actually buy anything from them, but only get nice 5x filtered water with ice. Heh

    --------------------------

We had our first Bible study for the summer at Mia's place tonight. Dude, it was so good for some reason. Almost like a breath of fresh air, digging into His Word and figuring out things that comes from the book/chapter of Philemon (I choose you, Philemon!) Yeah, there's definitely something amazing being with a group of believers and dissecting what He has to say. Dude, it's so beautiful. Dah! So good. Sooo good. Keep bringing more, stretch us.

    Malawi
    Thailand
    Honduras
    India
    San Diego Urban Project
    Mozambique
    Mexico City
    Taiwan.

God I lift up all these countries/projects/people I'm supporting thru You. I havent prayed this much for previous missions times, but this year I feel You're doing something crazy and amazing. Bring Your Spirit, Lord. Shower them with favor, powerful b.r.e.a.k.t.h.r.o.u.g.h, protection, gifts of Your Spirit, supernatural encounters, divine appointments, being stretched, the power of Your Kingdom...but most of all: A LOVE THAT HAS NO BOUNDS.

Yes, shower them with love. please. love. that's really all that matters in the end. love. love. love. love. LOVE. God, YOUR LOVE. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! YOUR RADICAL LOVE LORD! A love that sees through lies, and that casts out all fear. We break fear, in Jesus' name, and instead replace it with boldness and confidence in the Lord.

Jesus, meet them. All of them. I know You want to.

  • I actually doubted my goal to get much better at guitar by the end of the school year. I had three weeks of time since my determination period, and VOILA! I did it. Everyday minus a few I was on the guitar busting out the nastiest practicing. Now I feel the premature callouses coming on (I remember the good ol' cello days). I now know most of the simple chords and my strumming is much better. G, C, D, A, E, B, F#m, G#m. I'm sure there's a sus somewhere in there.

I guess my biggest problem is trying to associate the chord name to the actual chord. Yeah. that's fun.

My goal of one day leading worship is slowly, and very very slowly, unfolding.

    -------------------------------

I'm moving to my new place in a week (Easter house)! I currently am in a double with some pretty amazing people but it's time for me to make my nomadic move again. It'll be a townhouse and I take up a single room. Yesss single-occupancy room again. Dang my introverted side may have a ball-field again. I hope not.

    -------------------------------

"Bella" was a good movie. Not the best, not the worst, and not just middle, ok. It was good
"Kungfu Panda" was definitely a fun watch. Didn't regret paying for it.

    -------------------------------

I need an entry to sum up my year/quarter. I have to admit: this quarter was RIDICULOUS beyond RIDICULOUS. I have not ever seen God mess up my life this much ever before. Hahahaa. Actually, it's been a quarter of many supernatural graces and impartations. Wow.

    -------------------------------

All of life comes down to just one thing
and that's to know You oh Jesus and make You known
