Watching... for What?

I was laying in bed the other night, and the thought came to me... most of my thoughts come to me in bed, when I'm TOTALLLY not at all thinking of specific shtuff... and I thought:

If John the Baptist was born on Passover in fulfillment of part of the return of Elijah, and the second part of the fulfillment is the coming of the Two Witnesses of Revelation (one of which will *be* Elijah - See Revelation 11)... then the witnesses will appear on Passover during the Tribulation... Wait a minute. We're *IN* the Tribulation, potentially. And the witnesses are prophesied to preach on the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half years... which means that if we ARE in the Tribulation, we'll be seeing the Two Witnesses appear on a Passover between 2007 and 2010... the next three Passovers. Is that right? Because the latest it could be is 2010... it would put their deaths (3.45 years later) during - from what I can tell - the 'days of sorrow' - from the Fast of Tammuz to Tish B'Av... which are, ironically, about three weeks long. And I say 'ironically' because they are to remain dead for 3.5 'day's... possibly symbolizing 3.5 weeks of the 'days of sorrow'...?... although they're left in the streets for that time, and that'd be pretty gross after 3.5 weeks... OTOH, if it were only 3.5 days it would be easier to say they weren't really dead, but 'disciples' were tending them secretly. I don't know, I'm just looking at the Hebrew Calendar, here...

... anyhow, that would mean that if we don't see those witnesses in the next three years (I'm betting they appear at Passover)... then Solana's ENPI *isn't* the 7-year covenant with many. Right? Because 2010 would put their deaths in Summer of 2013... just before the end of the 7-year covenant. It couldn't be any later than that... But as far as at the earliest... it'd be THIS April (Pesach/Passover is April 3rd)... we should have eyes on Israel for them, no?

Further, the first sign of the Tribulation is the rider of the white horse... believed by most to be the revealing of the AntiChrist (on a platform of peace)... then Solana has to be given full authoritative power by April - which would be a quarter of the way through Germany's presidency of the EU (and it's their goal to hand over the presidency permanently to him)... and at the same time, there's talk of Palestine being handed over to the EU (I know - I need to do another NoteWorthy). Which would put Solana (as full authoritative power of the EU) in a new light globally... VERY interesting times...!

I don't know... I only know that Jesus told us to watch. So what are YOU watching for?

that's a great question Anna. to be perfectly honest I 'm not really sure of what I'm watching for. I watch the skies a lot, I watch the news in the middle east, I watch the EU. I hope & pray that when events actually occur I will have the wisdom to know. I'm trying to prepare before hand, I sure don't want to be "asleep" at the wheel when things begin! I know we are commanded to watch & wait, the waiting has got to be the hardest part. Sometimes it chills me to the very core when I think about the end times. It's gonna be ugly that's for sure for anyone who follows Christ. - Lisa

About the 3 days... John 11:39 We have Martha telling Yeshua that Lazarus is now stinking because it has been 4 days.

Now Yeshua was brought back on the 3rd day, he did not experience that type of decay. Maybe by 3.5 days a body would experience decay, especially depending on the way they died (lots of open wounds,etc). Which I'm guessing they will probably die terrible deaths.

What do you think about Rev 11:1? Do you think there will also be another physical temple built too? I know people are actually making plans to build a new one. Just curious what ya think about it, I'm not sure myself.

I believe there *HAS* to be a third temple, because Daniel 9 says he will cause the sacrificing to cease, and there won't be sacrificing unless there's a temple. ((That's 90% of why they don't do it today.)) Ironically, for the first time in half a century, they're building religious edifaces on Temple Mount as of 2007. The article also states that Jordan is planning on erecting the first Temple Mount minaret construction since the Ottoman times. VERY exciting stuff!!))

... I really have to do another NoteWorthy...

the minaret isn't a "Jewish" thing, it's a "muslim" thing :halo: I'm still trying to figure out if the "pulpit" is a Jewish or Muslim article.

oh, and also at Wikki, it says that they plan on making a
synagogue (somewhere on the temple mount, beats me where) but that's different from a Temple. A synagogue is
only a place where they study and do readings... no sacrafices in synagogues.

Sorry I didn't clarify. If Jordan is doing it, it's not Jewish. ((wink!)) It's Barkai's statement that is the reason for my geekage over it.

Some talk of not needing to do away with the mosque to build the temple...it seems just right next to it is the actual spot due to gates lining up...oh and they have bred the red heifer also.

I don't know about the actual location, honestly... but that breeding experiment failed. It had white hairs in it's tail.

The most frightening verse in the Bible is "I never knew you".

Jesus told us to "watch" so that we are not "deceived". Watching for me includes continuing to grow in my relationship with Him. I see some of the preachers out there, listen to their ear tickling and praise God I don't like having my ears tickled. My heart breaks for those who prefer the tickling.

Watching is listening to His voice. Most recently the command has been to prepare and the guidance on how to prepare has been provided.

Watching is knowing. Knowing He will return, knowing God is love, but also wrath. Knowing that God keeps his promises and His plan is perfect.
