| I have a conundrum:
I was in what used to be 17 credits:
Physics 214: Waves and Optics (looks hard. Heard its hard) 4 credits
CS 100M: Intro Matlab (very easy. Frosh class) 4 credits
Research Involvement (with a good prof, but no idea of the time commitment) 3 credits
but here is the problem:
MSE 204: Materials Chem (looks very hard. basically Quantum Chem) 4 credits
MSE 206/581: Structure of Matter (not too bad so far. easy prof, but has grad students in it... ) 4 credits
These last two classes used to be 3 credits each, totaling 17 credits, but they upgraded them both to 4, so now Im taking 19 credits. I had origionally taken research because I needed credits, but I am now worried I have too much else going on. I can handle 17 credits, but 19 may be beyond my anxiety limit. Im very excited about the research, but my other 4 classes are completely mandatory, either because of prerequisites I need to meet, or theyre in my major progression. I have my meeting with the professor I am doing research with, who also happens to be my advisor, on monday to figure out what I will be working on, and now to see if I can still do the research. I wonder if they upgraded my classes because they were under-ranked, or because they expanded the course work. This is a problem. Anyone with suggestions is happy to help me think this through.
*On a side note, I have gone back and made many of my previous posts friends-only, out of privacy and because there are a billion people on the internet, not all of whom I want to know how Im feeling. If you are my friend, you know that I am a very private person, so on the realization that this was possible on xanga, I have changed many posts. If you now do not have access to my posts, but I know you, make a xanga account and I will add you to my friends list. I dont mind my friends reading my blog, I just dont want the world to read it. Im probibly being paranoid, but thats how I am. Sorry to anyone this inconveniences.  | | |
| Hello All, I just created an account on a whim so that I could post a comment on Devious' blog, so yeah. Welcome to my blog.
