  • Thirty-third Anniversery

Today is the 12th of April. Thirty-three years ago Mike and I were married!

    Alot happens over 33 years...

11 children...four married...four grandchildren(one in the oven)...one son in Iraq (army)....two graduations from higher education, two more attending MJC....home schooled career (for Mom), with five graduated from our school (more this year)....Mike developed RP (losing most of his sight)...Mike started his own tax and accounting business in 1996, very successful business....alot of water under the bridge!!  It appears that the "river" is still flowing...:)

This tax season Mike had a little visit to the Hospital over Easter weekend...Infected Pancreas...also with symptoms of Shingles....so between the IV's for a few days(in the hospital) and the "herbalist"shoving things down his throat( low fat diet, and anti-virals)...Mike is recovered and back to work!! :)

The 15th is only a few days away, and we can catch our breath, before the next wave of the "river"....:)

  • Hi everyone! I'm just getting started on Xanga... Drop me a comment if you've got some ideas on what to do first - or just to say, "Hi!" :-)
  • Spring Tune Up

OK, So my daughter -in-Law, Keli, is posting her diet every day for accountablity...which planted in my mind that I need to get in shape!! I , however,am NOT going to post my diet...but I am going to keep a private journal...so far, I realised that I eat bites here and there, that add up! Yesterday, I Made a yummy croissant sandwich with ham and horseradissh cheese...then I cut it in half...gave half to Shesccah (my other daughter-in-law)...and ate the other half. I had heard somewhere that if you take what you normally eat...and then half it..that is all you need , and you will loose weight. Hey...why not give it a try? :) Today I had a Chinese lunch...Kung pow chicken with chicken fried rice....I picked out most of the chicken and ate the veggies and half of the rice. Next time I'm ordering something without so much meat, and white rice...I don't think I like fried rice...to oily I think or something.

Yesterday, the six "boys" and I went for a long hike...must have been 5+ miles!! I was so worn out..I think I should have brought water...:) Next time!... Today I am walking somewhat normal...but I am sore!! It was a beautiful day...a little cool...yet warm enough not to be cold. Sunny...mostly blue skies (only a few Chemtrails)...listened to the birds...and watched the kids have fun. You Know...young kids remind me of Puppy dogs...you are walking along...and the young kids are running circles around you...just like little puppies! Makes an adult feel old...:) hahaha!  Tomorrow the youngest of the six, and I are going to go hike, while the older six go to a Birthday "thingy" in the same park...but only for an hour...Jacob has school work...so that is a good reason not to over do it...:)  I'll bring water this time...:)

    So...How's Your tune-up coming along?

  • This is the hobbit capes that I made for the boys for Christmas...actually, I gave them the material, and made the capes after Christmas...when I wasn't so pressured.
Aaron is on the right back....Mark is on the left back....Levi is in the center front.....Levi is totally in character, being barefoot....:)

  • SEWING

well...I am well into Jan., and I have made two "Hobbit" capes...one for Levi and one for Mark...although Mark's didn't have a lining, and he complains that it is "ichy" as it is wool...so I think I have some left over lining from the next cape that I am making for Aaron, to line Marks. This is my relaxing type of activity...costumes...:)  After Aaron's, I do have a piece off-white wool varigated velvet that I got on the sales table that I am thinking of making into a cape...it is really beautiful!  Although Jonathan has voiced the desire to have a cape too. Hummm....the wools are quickly disappearing from the fabric stores...this may be difficult...:)  Then I'm not sure...I think Stephen wanted a non-formal cape...he had a formal cape made for the "Ball" he and Jacob went to at the beginning of Jan.  Jacob hasn't really pushed me about a cape...maybe he is too old ....naw!...he is just too busy...what with school...and he is all "twitter-paitted" over a certain girl down in southern Ca....that he is now formally "courting"....hehehe!   :)  My! How they DO grow up!  Well...off to the sewing machine...tata...:)
