So for all of you that do not know, this summer I have and am working at FirstEnergy Family Credit Union.

Today when a member came into withdraw some of his money.  One of the tellers assisted him and as he was walking away she (the teller) said, "Have a Great day!" (traditional)  Well in response to that the guy turned around and said, "Everday is a Great day it's just some days seem greater then others."

I thought that was very clever and neat.  Isn't it true though.  It brought me back to the days of world music class with Moses.  One of the quotes he said and I think I have quoted it on here before is, "There is no such thing as a bad day only a bad attitude about a good day, becuase how can God create something (the day) that is not good."  I think it is amazing some of the cool things we hang onto that just jostle your thinking on something you've never even considered.

That's all for now...wow twice in one week!

Only Two more weeks, minus one day of work left.  This summer has been a crazy one.  With starting out by going to Africa I just can't see what happened with all the time.  It seems that I still have plenty to do still though before I get back.  I will be arriving back on campus on Aug 14th as Andrea and I are going to be getting started leaders this year.  I also will begin my job as music librarian at that time.

This year will be different in many ways but one of the things that I am most skeptical about is that fact that the guys that I have lived with for the past two years are spreading accross campus in many different dorms.  We won't be able to share in some of the inside jokes that you can only have with the guys that you live with and for once curfew will mean soemthing to our relationships.  I know I will have cool people living around me where I'm at, it is just different from what I have enjoyed a lot in the past!

Alas, no more shower time convos...

Question Time: What is one thing that you want to make sure you do differently then last school year?

  • It is really hot here right now...in the 90's...

Today at our church me moved everything outside and had Worship On the Lawn.  We do it one sunday during the summer every year.  It is fun because instead of having three services, the whole congregation is together for one big service (about 800+).  It was fun to be under the sun (even though it was hot and burned me) and be amazed by what the Lord has given us through is revelation in nature.  After the service we have a church wide picnic will games and blow up stuff like we have for the leadership conference and junior jam stuff at school.  Good times!

Anyways, i'm pretty tired so i think that a nap is in order...someone keeps keeping me up late at night...  :0)

Summer is nice....but i do look forward to getting back to school with all  my friends there.  not only that but the atmosphere of Cedarville is one that i have grown to appreciate as far as a since of community, trust, and fun.  My sister is joining me there this year which will be fun along with one other person from my church that I am close friends with.  You may know him as he has visited school a few times.  His name is James.

Random:  I have really missed my ultimate frisbee, let me tell ya! Micah we are going to have to blow it open this year!
