The Mick Magazine Issue 3

At the work computer for the final time before I head home and do some major packing and cleaning as conclude the Flordia Stage chapter of my life tomarrow! It has been a really hard and interesting week.

MIKE FALLS OF LADDER AND SPRAINS ANKLE!

Yes the headline is true. Monday around 10 pm I was up on a ladder above the "house" of the theater just about to hand an instrument down to ground support when the force of my weight shifting cause the ladder rung to fall onto the next stair which sent me free falling to the ground. I was able to slow my fall for a second holding onto the pipe but in the end I fell to the floor, my right ankle landing firmly between the seat. I was helped to the booth where I spent the rest of the night working on the light board concil, a bag of ice on my leg. The next day I couldnt walk on my leg so I hobbled to a urgent care center where they determined that the ankle was sprained and set me up with a ace wrap and a airsplint. Besides the ankle I suffered a few small bruises on my knees. I still worked the entire week thought doing only minor tasks that were available. My leg is out of the splint but wont be up to snuff for anouther week or so.

SODERING, TERMINAL STRIPS, AND ALOT OF WIRE

Since my leg was injured I spent alot of the time with my leg proped up doing alot of wiring work. Since being here I have gotten alot of better at sodering and wiring, so much so that I can  finally add it to my resume yay. I also have alot of revisions comming in terms of resume and portfolio. my final project here which I am about to go back to work on is a bunch of series circuts through european terminal strips, very fun stuff. Especially when your listening to you fully maxed out IPOD hehe

Thats if for now because breaks up part two after packing tonight

The Mick Magazine Issue 2 (Now updated on Sunday)

Whats up all we are exactly one week and counting to my last day of work for Florida Stage. It has been a long run but I find myself looking forward to finally have control of my own life in nearly a year. So with that being said lets get to it then.

MOVING DAY

In order to make my trip home easier and not require my dad to drive here and back. I have decided to mail most of my stuff home. This will make my car lighter and allow me the joy of that long car trip home. So monday/ tuesday be sure to have those phones ready, you may get a call from me.

SILVER SURFER- GOOD FOR FANS BUT MAYBE NOT FOR MOVIE BUFFS

I saw the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer yesterday. As a fan of the first movie I found myself not disappointed with the second. There was alot of nice action and a few really good action sequences, but those who don't have any real knowledge of the characters may find the movie to be full of plot holes and a lot of jumping around and dropped plot lines. Over all its a decent movie if you like the first one.

WWE- QUIT PULLING OUR LEGS

Some of you may have heard that Vince McMahon is supposedly dead. News Flash- He isnt! You dont broadcast someone exploding on national tv and then tell us that he is presumably dead. If McMahon had kicked the bucket the FBI or whatever investigators would know for sure that he was dead (Hey we watch CSI ok). In short this is the lamest story arc choice I have seen in a while from these guys.

ZOLMAR- MY NEW CHILDREN'S NOVEL

Playing the game Odin Sphere, has inspired me to sketch out a novel for kids that I may actually want to sit down and right. It kind of stems from an Alice in Wonderland/ Narnia style plot line that leads into a world of exotic creatures created all my own. I also have devised an oriental style story as well to counteract possible sequels. So when I get time I may be writing like crazy.

BIG FRIEND BIRTHDAY WEEK

Since this is a load in week I am scared that I will miss alot of peoples Birthdays this week so to make sure Im hitting them now!

MONDAY- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAMIE!
TUESDAY- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SID!
SATURDAY-HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRANDIE!

And I know I missed so- HAPPY BELATED  BIRTHDAY TO RACHEL!

A PERSONAL NOTE

Finally for this issue I would like to address someone special to me. The last time we talked we said a lot to each other, some mentioned, some kept secret. And I can tell you that it scares me sometimes that we may not being saying everything to one another because we are hurt or upset. I fear that this is hurting our friendship and it should be something that we talk about in person so that we can be understood. I want us to be getting better and not worse. To this person, you know who you are, I hope my silence from you will help you to understand that "getting to the point" is something I am trying to do.

Thats if for this issue see you in a week when I am free!

The Mick Magazine Issue 1

Ive decided to stop bitching and do short snipets of things that interest me in my life hope you all enjoy it

ABOUT ME

Things have been going ok. Work is two weeks from being over. I cant wait to go home. Got one more week in the shop and then a long Load in to finish it. Then I have a nice drive home in which I will do a little dance when I get out of this state, and then I will kiss the ground when I get into god blessed NC!

HELL MUST HAVE FROZEN OVER

And old friend/ enemy dropped by for a week visit. There was alot of wwe watching and talking about past events. Still some tension there but that can only be expected in that situation. Hope you had a good time and that work didnt suck to bad when you got home.

MISSED B-DAYs

Due to complex schedules I missed a few peoples birthdays. I have left you all messages but I hope this will also help as well.  HAPPY BIRTDAY to Ruth, Megan, and my little bro Doug! Hope they were good ones

WWE GOES MEGA DRAMA

Last night Vince Mcmahon got into his limo and it exploded. How in the world are they gonna make that angle work. I know people get injured or fired or have mental break downs but how are you going to tell me that blowing someone up will not incinerate them instantly, call me crazy but that was just reaching

RUMBLE IN THE UNDERBOG

Last night me erik and cullen took our first stab at the Underbog in world of warcraft. A very pretty zone and though we had one or two snaggs we were victorious.

TRAITS GETS AN OVERHAUL

My college series TRAITS has been getting a major overhaul, but I think at least season 1 is ready to be realeased. Hopefully I can give some snippets in this little magazine.

Well thats it for now be sure to tune in next time for the Mick Magazine!

Flowers of my Garden

There is a special meadow
that is just for me
Where people have planted there seeds
and let them grow free

Many flowers there are
an array of all kinds
That symbolize special ladies
in this garden of mine.

The first is a honeysuckle
withered and cold
but a taste of its nectar
brings back the first love of old

The second a Daisy
that was a sweet special friend
but with my high school career
it came to an end

The third is a lily
of angelic white
whose faith and kindness
is a spiritual light

The forth is a violet
Passionate and strong
I know that her advice
will never steer me wrong

The fifth is a Sunflower
Cheerful and Kind
She is a great listener
when one wants to speak there mind

The sixth is a lilac
tiny yet complex
I know that she will do well
in whatever she does next

The seventh is a Tulip
Friendly yet shy
Though our time was short together
a first kiss to you was my special goodbye

The last three are special
each a delicate case
so here in the garden,
the center is there place

The eighth is an orchid
black as the night
we have memories of fun
but also of fights

The ninth is an iris
Generous and fun
Though we parted ways
for two years we were as one

The tenth is a rose
beautiful and free
with you I feel special
and that I can just be me

Many more flowers there are
each playing its part
for this garden is symbolic
of all you in my heart!
