| Hey everybuddy...
I know, it's been awhile. Well, with Prom and work and other stuff, I just haven't had a lot of time to write in this Xanga.
First thing's first:
Before Prom. What a night! It had it's ups and downs. They all arrived at my place around 4:30. I wasn't even dressed yet for prom. I had just picked up Edward to take him to my place. I was like 'crud', and I don't remember anytime I had put on a tux suit that fast in my life. Mind you, I had only done it once before, so I had some practise. ^-^ We, all ten of us starting with Me and Mayté, Edward and Monica, Crystal and Manny, Will and her undisclosed girlfriend who I still don't know the name of, and Melody and Joe, went to the mall to do pictures; but they said that they would be able to get to us in about an hour. It was about 5:30-6:00. Our dinner reservations were for 7:00, and Prom starts at 7:00 too. We were like, "Screw that!" and we rushed home and by that time the limo had just barely got there and my Aunt and all their relatives showed up. That only means one thing.... Photo shoot. Now let me tell you, Mayté isn't really the one for having her picture taken. (More on that later...) So yeah, I was alright, but she doesn't like to smile all the time in pictures, but she has the greatest smile. I dunno. After pictures were over, limo time. Which by the way, offered the parents another photo opportunity. What... can... you do? So we left in the limo. Much fun. Long story short... er... shorter, we arrived at Downtown Disney. We went to The Jazz Kitchen. Very good restaraunt, relatively cheap too, and might I suggest... Go for the Pasta Jumbalaya. Green pasta cooked al denté. That's Italian for 'to the tooth', meaning neither soft nor firm, but rather just right. Along with it were some shrimp and anduille suasage and some other thing that I can't get my finger on. But good none-the-less. Sure the pasta is green but who cares? It's good anyways.
On to Prom! Well, after our Cajun dinner, we walked to the Grand Ballroom at the Disneyland Hotel. Wow, all I can say is 'wow'. There was a rescesed dance floor, lights, and... and.... the tables were nice too. Yeah. I, being Até, wanted to go out and dance. But there was just one small problem. Monica wasn't talking to Edward... Yeah, I know, who invited her anyways? Oh, wait, Edward did. Drat. Yeah, she just stood there, not dancing on the DANCEfloor. He tried so hard... -_- But she wouldn't budge. I felt so sorry for him. But enough about them, back to me. ^-^ Well, getting Mayté out on to the dancefloor took awhile, partly because Monica wouldn't go out. But I did get Mayté out there. We danced a lot, a few slow songs, a few more fast songs. Edward took a picture of us slow dancing, which I still need to get from him.
After Prom: We went bowling! Yeah, I know, lame, but fun! My first game was alright in the beginning, then it was worse. I ended up playing for Mayté because she was getting tired. My second game was much better, about every other one was a strike. For those of you who don't know, and be cursed if you don't, a strike in bowling is a good thing. It means you get all ten pins down in one try. Around 15 till two in the morning, we left to go back home. My mom and I dropped off 5 of the people, Mayté included. No, I didn't get any kiss, but hey, she's shy.
When things got bad, (or, me and my not thinking...)
Yeah, I hurt Mayté earlier this week. It was my own stupid fault. See, Edward had brought his camera to school to waste the rest of the pictures he didn't take at prom, and me being playful, albeit stupid, I took a picture of her. After she told me not to. 4 times. She didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. Tuesday, the day after, was a little bit better, a tiny bit better. She talked to me online. We talked a bit, she told what I had done wrong, and now that I know that she would have acted that way, I wished I hadn't. I apologised profusely, over and over again. She said it was alright at school, but I could tell that she was not alright. We decided to forget about it and start anew. Well, almost anew. There was Prom that still counted. But now we're just fine, back to normal. I want to ask her out, but you know me, shy. So yeah, things are better.
My rant for the day:
Mr. Long, my art teacher, had said awhile ago that we were to have an end-of-year party at his place. I told my mom this about a month ago. She said probably. I mean, I have my own car. I'm almost eighteen. WE were going to have a grand ol' time. There was going to be two X-Boxes there set up so that we all could have an eight on eight Hola game going. Me and some of my friends were also going to bring our computers so that we could play some LAN games going as well. But now I can't go tomorrow... My mom won't let me. So stupid. She called my uncle and she mentioned that I was going tomorrow and my uncle said 'no'. His reasoning was that when teachers are hired, they aren't allowed to 'fraternize' with the students. And when my mom heard this, she finally had a foothold for me not to go. She's always doing this. Always trying to find a way for me not to go to things I want to go to. She's always way too overly protective.
Well, it's after nine, and I have to get off the computer now. It's some stupid rule that my parents mandated awhile back restricting my use of the internet. 9:00 pm is my 'online curfew'. See you guys later.
