| Facebook, the all-in-oneFacebook, the nemises of xanga and myspace, has once again outdone myspace and xanga. The new facebook "facelift" allows you to do pretty much anything from blogging to keeping track of your recent activity (stalking) to starting a nuclear war. Xanga has now become obsolete as ENIAC and competence in college athletes (Tarell Brown, Rhett Bomar, etc.). Even though Xanga has entered the vortex of formerly popular fads (boybands, furby, the macarena, and those awful yet catchy 'wassup' budweiser commercials) I will still continue to update it periodically... and by periodically I do mean once a meillenia or lustrum or indict. Bravo to you if you didn't have to click the links to figure out what a lustrum or indict was... or ENIAC for that matter.
Also, why is everyone Steve Irwins biggest fan... posthumously. I've seen many posts, facebook away messages, and blogs about how great he was. Personally I think animal shows are stupid, and what the crap did people think was going to happen to him... he did wrestle with deadly crocs, grabbed poisonous snakes by their tail and swim with deadly stingrays... which finally got the best of him. I guess he wouldn't have wanted to die any other way... except maybe while wrestling a deadly croc... in a retirement home... at age 85. Plus, why didn't anyone mourn the death of Timothy Treadwell. He was on the discovery channel also... and he was eaten by bears (Grizzly Man). I personally think being eaten by bears is way more of a terrific death than being stung by a stingray. Not any disrespect to Irwin or Treadwell... but don't worry you people who enjoy peoply watching humans flirt with morbidly dangerous animals... there will soon be another entertaining idiot who will dazzle you on the discovery channel.
Anyway, on to topics I care more about... #1 Ohio State vs #2 Texas:
The second time we have a #1 vs #2 battle this year, and once again we are the underdogs... of course. All national champions should start and number 3. You know returning most of your starters except for Vince Young automatically demotes you and every analyst thus counts you out of the national championship. I'm not saying that we should be number one, but I don't understand how Ohio State who only returned 2 on defense should be ranked number one. I also done understand how Brady Quinn and Notre Dame are number 2. I mean... they did loose 3 games last year, including a losses to teams Texas beat, USC who was supposed to be the greatest team of all time and Ohio State who totally dominated ND in the Fiesta bowl. I guess that says a lot for Vince Young, was runner up in the well known football awards. Trust me, recruiting here at Texas isn't the same as it is at Baylor... we still have a heck of a team. I'm not saying we are going to rout Ohio State... I'm saying don't count us out just because Vince Young is a Titan (hah, works on 2 levels). I hope its a dog fight... I hope we win... I hope I don't regret not selling my ticket on ebay for excess of $400. Hopefully losing players to marijuana doesn't screw us too much.

Kids, don't do drugs... but if you do... don't have an unlicensed weapon to go along with it

-College football... its been so long... i've missed you
-starting school on a wednesday and having a 3 day week
-having labor day holiday the second week of school... 4 day week
-college game day... coming to you from Austin, TX this weekend... tune in... ESPN 10 AM on saturday
-NCAA 07- that game pretty much rocks... ive already played 2 seasons
-digital cable + DVR... recording shows... rewinding, fastforwarding and pausing live TV
-free iTunes songs through facebook till 9/30
-living closer to campus... thus not having to wake up early
-2 for 1 pizza rolls at double daves on tuesday... to die for
-House, M.D.- im totally addicted to that show

-school... even though it feels good to be back... i know its going to suck in a month or so
-media surrounding TO and the Tuna... let TO play... let the Tuna coach
-rainy days... it sucks going to class on rainy days
-Weather in general... I've had enough of those 100 degree days
-grammar quizes in engineering classes... what is that about
-psycho teachers... self explanatory
-cost of books... mine werent that bad this semester though... thanks to knowing upperclassmen with used books
-bad college football games... see GT vs ND or FSU vs Miami (FL)
-exploding laptop batteries... mine hasn't been recalled yet (knock on wood, cross fingers)... but I know a lot of ppl who have had to send their batteries back to Dell and Apple
