Been lazy

I've been meaning to post something for a couple weeks now, just been too lazy to write.  So during my time off so far I've seen 3 movies.   Guess which ones.  Superman Returns was awesome.  Just wish the game came out the same time as the movie.  It was supposed to but NOOOO...they had to move it back to some time in the fall.  Anyways,  we saw Pirates of the Carribean cause Danielle wanted to see it.  Probably just for two reasons.  I'll give you a clue. JD and OB.  But that's alright, I had my own eye candy.  KK.  Hehe. Then yesterday we saw Clerks 2.  Friggin Hilarious!!  I love the Kevin Smith movies.

Um.. what else..we went to the doctor last week and he said the baby is still doing good.   Its at about 12 weeks now and almost two inches.  We've been getting things rearranged in the apartment for the baby.  Such as turning the second bedroom from a computer room to a nursery.  So now my desktop computers are in the living room.  Today we bought(well actually Danielle's mom bought) the crib.  We got it all put together and everything.  It's really starting to feel like we're having a baby.

Lettering painted

Here are the before and after pics.  I think it came out pretty good.  I'm gonna put on a few more coats though.

Shutdown extended

Yep, we're no longer off for just 4 weeks. Now it's 5 weeks.  They announced that Monday.  What am I gonna do with all this time off.  If I had some money saved up, Danielle and I could go on a road trip with no predetermined destination.  That would be sweet.  But I don't, so I'll probably sit around the house most days just takin' it easy.

I know what I'm gonna do tomorrow though.  If it doesn't rain(which it's not supposed to according to the forecast), I'm gonna paint the lettering on the back of my Avalanche.  I'll post a pic if it comes out well.  I did it last week with a different kind of paint and I could just peel the paint off after it dried.  It looked good from 10 feet away but not up close and when I can just peel it off, that's not good.

In case you're wondering what the picture is from, it's Odd Todd. It's several funny flash animations about a guy that gets laid off.

Papacita's

My wife and I went out to eat today.   We went to Papacita's.  (It's a local Mexican restaurant that's pretty good, so we go there about once a month or so.) We got a waiter that you can tell was new.  But he was really trying and that's what matters.  Danielle ordered some beef tacos and rice.  But when they brought it, it only had beef on the taco.  No lettuce, tomatos, or cheese.  Just beef.  So I let the waiter know.  He brought it.  So it's no big deal.  We know its not his fault.  The cook probably forgot to put it on the plate and someone else served it anyway.  So I was still gonna him decent tip since he was new and trying.  So the check came and I gave him my card.  He came back and gave me my card and reciept to put the tip amount and sign it.  Normally this when the waiter or waitress says have a nice day and come back or something to that effect and then they go back to their waiterly duties.  But he just stood there.  Right there next to me until I wrote the tip amount and signed it.  That was the most awkward feeling I've had in a while.  Thought about giving him less of a tip but I didn't.
