Fall '06 Semester - in all
honesty I suppose i could sum up the past couple of months by saying it
was a rough semester and now that I look back at it I realized that for
most of the 2nd half of the semester I was "burnt out" for various
reasons (ie extreme lack of sleep)...God really stretched me and opened
my eyes to so many things...at the same time with all the bad that
happens God is always faithful with blessings and good things as well
(and trust me there were plenty of those as well)...I've learned so
much this semester about what it means to trust God despite all the
uncertainities and although it is still a struggle of mine I believe
that God is still molding me and will continue to light my path onestep
at a time... At the same time, I realized that I couldn't have
made it through the past semester if it were not for the amazing
Brothers and Sisters that God blessed me with...I can't thank everyone
enough for all the encouragement, love and prayers I've realized from
everyone this semester...I've learned so much about what it means
to be part of a Body of Christ and truly showing that Christ Love to
each other and for that I am very grateful....Taking a semester away
from PennState next semester is very bittersweet to me. On one
hand I know that I will definitely be missing everyone but on the other
hand I know God has many things in stored for me in Philly as
well. Regardless, I expect many phone calls, ims and visits to
Philly to see me!!

Urbana 06:
In short, it was Amazing! Urbana is a international missions conference
held every 3 years by Intervarsity. This year it was held in St
Louis from Dec 27-Jan 1 and there were over 22,000+ people in
attendance (primarily college students). God opened my eyes to so
many things within those couple of days and so many lessons were
learned! Here are some highlights:
-The Praise Sessions were
amazing!! They were all so talented and we sang songs from different
languages all over the world!! (ie. Spanish, French, Korean, Manderian,
etc)
-The Body of
Christ is more than the local church...its Christians all over the
world! We need to be interdependent.
-Wonderful speakers were so much incite, passion and inspiration
-The World Vision Dinner - very challenging but humbling
-There are no such things as 2nd class missionaries...we are all serving the same God, just in different ways
-I have a calling and a purpose!!
-So many seminars to choose from and sooo little time!!
-Packing into the Metro like sardines to get back to our Hotel
-Late night talks with the roommates
-Getting around 6-7 hours of sleep a night!! (more than i got all semester...Praise God!)
-Watching 22,000 people getting feed within 2 hours....roughly 5,000 people every 1/2 hour...Amazing!! lolz
-Singing Praise and Worship like crazy (and i mean crazy...lolz) as we counted down to the New Year!
On the plane going to Urbana
