HELLO

Oh my goodness my xanga still exists!  I decided to take a look at it today and maybe write a few thoughts down.  Just want to say that I had pretty much the most BA summer a person could have.

May and June: 30 day tour of 5 countries (France, Germany, Czech, Hungary, Austria) with some of the most amazing people!

July beginningish:  10 day trip to the east coast including The Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, and New York City.  My brother and I finally saw Wicked and we got to visit Jeremiah in his new habitat.

End of July:  7 day trip with my lady to visit her sister in Jacksonville!  I got to bond with her little niece and visit the World Golf Hall of Fame.  It was pretty incredible.

August:  Have a ridiculously fun night with my best friends in the world up in Norman.  I love all of you guys!

In between all of these I got to see 3 shows in Dallas (Brooklyn-listen to this!! I discovered Wicked first...this one is next!), Mama Mia, and Les Mis).

So with that said and done....I am now back in favorite place on earth of all places Manhattan, KS!  Home of the Kansas State Wildcats!  This year I got an internship with the Athletic Marketing Department.  I am on the field for all the football and basketball games helping out with odds and ends that the department needs me to do.  They hooked me up with an All-Access Pass, a BA nike Polo, and Nike Coat!  Its pretty much my ideal situation.  The only downfall is that my tailgating time is very minimal.

My parents come up for the game this weekend and it should be a blast.  The football team has major issues this year but I still love game day more than anything known to God!   It is so glorious.  I cannot wait for the weekend.

I know many people hate the new facebook style.....but sad to say it i find it not too bad.   You can delete things off your news feed if it is really that stalkerish.  I'm down with it i suppose.  Hate me or love me.

School is getting close to the final decent.  Only 2 more semesters after this one until I will have my undergrad.  Odds are I will stay here and get my masters, but still....my time here is getting short.  Especially with Bree graduating in December.  Its starting to get scary.  I'll be ready for the transition when it comes though.  I was also asked to be an usher in my friend Dave's wedding.  I was so honored by this i could not even explain it.  I cannot wait, its going to be a great time!

Well just thought I would update on my life.  Have an amazing week ya'll!

Dear my friends that are Americans,

We live in a country built on tremendous morals and an amazing sense of respect.  I have been now in Central Europe and Paris and have found a new sense of respect for the country I love.  I just want to tell everyone to take a second and realize how glorious of a country we live in unless you have experienced weeks or months in Central Europe.  I am not going to lie, but the places I have been are beatiful and absolutely amazing, but something is just not there.  Something that Americans have that is nowhere else in the world.  I know there are many people out there who dislike this country and the way it is run and....yada yada yada, but nobdy should be bashing anything about us until they have the credentials to do so.  We live in the most incredible place on this earth.  side note:  this would be a tad easier said if we had the Hofbrauhaus....but besides that it is perfect for everthing.  Europe is great and all but here are some of the things that make America so amazing.....(when I say say Central Europe...im talking Czech Republic, Hungary, etc....)

1.  We get ice in our sodas

2.  We get Free Refils (you will not find that in Central Europe)

3.  You arent charged for Bread at your tables

4.  If you request a song from the House Band they done put it on your Check.

5.  You arent obsessed with getting your pocket picked

6.  We as Americans dont say F U to any foreigner visiting out country...people will disagree on this but compared to over here we are servants to foreigners.  I can speak German and they were not nice to us.

7.  You arent charged for Ketchup that you used that was given to you.

8.  You can order chicken not worrying about the Bird Flu

9.  repeat...you can get free refils....its killin me guys!!

10.   People dont pee in the sewer in the middle of the city...we saw 3.

There are many more but all in all we need to just love our country with everything we have.  You people who hate George will get your Democrat to be president next and your life will be minimally effected by the change.  If that is what it takes for people in this country to be happy than I am all for it.  I just want people to stop worrying about the things and complaining about stuff that ultimately would be a lot worse if you lived anywhere else besiedes the greatest country on earth.  It really puts things into perspective how lucky we really are and should not be complaining about the things we are.  People in Europe listen to our music, adapt our culture, wear our clothes, and virtually do everything we do except the environments are just not as a clean.  Just appretiate where we live for awhile, take in the fresh air and freedom, walk down the street not worrying about getting mugged, dance on the newly mowed grass, and praise God for putting us in an amazing place and praise God for the rest of the world because the people of the world are working on helping the world are become more free, becoming a better, safer, and friendlier place every day.  It is going to get there soon and someday it will be something that none of will have to worry about.  Earlier today we talked about how Force sometimes = Peace when the person using force knows know Peace.  Peace can only be achieved by using force on those who only know force.  I am a peaceful person.  I cannot wait for Peace on this earth, whether I am here or not but I will one day witness it from here or above.

p.s.  I in know way am saying that my trip is going bad.  I am having the best time of my life.  I am here with 13 other amazing people and the cities have been absolutely breathtaking.  Salzburg and Munich being my favorite.  I was in the city that Sound of Music took place.  I saw all the places and everthing.  It was incredible.  I hiked in the Alps, drank lots of Beer, saw a concentration camp, scaled the Eifel Tower, shopped in Paris, and bought Absinth in Prague.(not drank)  It has been incredible....check out my facebook for a picture of us in the Alps.

I go to Europe tomorrow for 24 days.  It should be very exciting.  I arrive in Paris and spend 3 days there.  Then at night we take an overnight train to Munich, Germany.  We then spend 4 days in Germany exploring Munich and going to the Hoffbrauhaus.  What What.  Then the next night we take an overnight train to Prague, Czech Republic.  We spend 5 full days in Prague.  I am very excited to learn about Caitlins heritage. haha.  We then take a train to Vienna, Austria.  This should be very neat, hopefully we take a train through the Alps.  After this we go to Budapest Hungary for 4 days.  I'm not gonna lie but i'm kinda nervous about this one.  Different currency, different language, and I know nothing about Hungary.  Oh well good times.  After that we take our last overnight train back to Paris and spend another 2 days there.  Keep me in your prayers and I will be back in C-town on June 10 or so.  I will keep everyone updated on my adventure.  After this I will be in Coppell working for the rest of the summer till I go to New York/New Jersey and see Wicked.  Snap.

Lets see whats going on in my life....

I first want to start off saying that I have some of the most incredible friends in the world.  I have met more genuinly amazing people here that I could have ever imagined.  This is pretty much the most amazing place ever.  I cannot say enough.  I am sorry I havnt been writing in the thing lately but I just havnt had the time or the motivation.  When I lived in the dorm I just sat in a room and looked at my computer screen for most of the day and would post on my xanga to pass the time away.  I dont find that time to waste time anymore.  Not that this is wasting time at the moment, its just that my Accounting class got cancelled.  I will try and post more often in the coming weeks.  We shall see.  I want to say that i love Michelle Mahone and Caitlin Kaluza.  They are pretty cool I guess.  Kevin shaved his head and it looks pretty incredible.  I went to Marketing today and then I have Accounting in Finance right next door with Kevin and Carter.  I knew class was cancelled so i waiting for Kevin so I could talk to him and then I took him home.  He skipped his 1030 since this class was cancelled.  Well right after we started driving to take Carter home i look in my rear view mirror (yes i have one Merritt) and there was Kevin smiling from ear to ear with his naked head.  With his beard longer than his head.  You have to realize that his hair was freakin long.  Well anyways....you have to know Kevin to realize how funny it was.  You can see a picture of it on his facebook.  So my German class this semester is called German Lit II: Childhood life in Germany.  This is not childhood literature, it's actual German writers writing about their childhoods.  It's probobally the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.  Right now i'm reading a book and i'll read like 4 pages and not even have a clue what i just read.  But shoot, i do that with English sometimes.  Even Harry Potter.  Thats a pretty tough book.  Why am I, David Boger, in a German Literature course.  Who knows.  This will be my last german class at kstate as long as my trip to Germany gets finalized.  I've paid 1000 dollars on it, but they dont quite have enough people yet, so if they dont get enough the trip is off.  So pray for me so that I can go to germany this summer and watch the USA in the World Cup.  Wouldnt that be incredible.  If the trip falls through, I will probobally try to find another study abroad program online and do it that way.  We'll see.  Or just go next summer since I will be here minimally until December 07.  It means 2 more football seasons at least.  Plus staying in Manhattan a little longer cant hurt me.  I guess thats what I get for changing my major so late after I had taken so many useless classes.  I have "Environmental Issues in Hospitality" on my record.  It's a pretty good class for a marketing major to take.  Good call.  Hey Caitlin remember in life when we had the same major.  Good times.  Hey did I mention that my girlfriend is ridiculously beautiful.  Ok so I definetely saw the president last week.  I am not gonna lie, I am a George W. enthusiast.  The guy seriously makes me laugh every time I hear him speak, but for some reason he has a comfort about him.  In all honesty I think he is just a down to earth nice person.  Thats what makes him so appealing to me.  He also wore a purple tie.  That scored him major points here in the Little Apple.  Also if any of you saw that Iraqi lady start telling him how much she loved him and wouldnt shut up, and then the prez finally had to tell her to be quiet.  It was quite funny.  Well that happend at our school.  K-State also got millions and millions of dollars of advertising by him coming.  Have KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY on the backdrop of the presdient on every National News Channell, Local in Kansas would cost Kstate a fortune.  We were grateful for that.  Marine 1 also flew over my house.  Good times.  I am going to Las Vegas for spring break with my grandparents for my 21'st birthday.  It doesnt get any better than a weekend with the grandparents gambling.  We are seeing Hairspray and another Vegas show so it should be pretty sweet.  Plus there is that chance that I come home with thousands of dollars.  Wouldnt that be incredible.  Ok well I need to go read some German and work on my webpages for MIS.  Peace be with you.
