.Little. Miss. Red. Riding. Hood.

I wonder when I will encounter the wolf? I feel as though my exam is the wolf itself; however, I am still in the forest now. Exactly two weeks before my Series 7 exam and I am not doing so well on the progress exams - struggling to get 60s. I know it will not be the end of the world if failure comes upon me, but it would feel great to pass for myself. Meanwhile, I have people who encourage me to study yet at the same time, they are the ones who are selfish with me. [Tam, this is definitely not you...because time with you is time well spent - I am referring to my acquaintances. Hehe.] I do not want to face my colleagues at work if I do happen to fail - I can handle the failure personally though.

Maine! :D

 Thinking...♥

I think it's about time for a new entry and what better place to start than PORTLAND, ME [If you ask the question, "Why Maine?!" then please disappear]! Hehe The update will be a working progress because I'm still on vacation as we speak [Woot!] - trying to keep the experience fresh!

Aren't I great? LOL

Sunday:

Tam and I arrived in Maine shortly after 2:00pm and started relaxing! Burritos. The perfect food, covering each of the basic food groups all in one neat little package. We got our dairy taken care of with the cheese and sour cream, our carbs satisfied with the tortilla and rice, protein covered through the beans and meat, and vegetable requirements met with the lettuce and tomato. I can't be more proud of myself for picking out the place randomly.
In the evening, we enjoyed a 90 minute scenic cruise through the harbor and innermost islands to see lighthouses, and forts. There were no seals - we thought we were scammed at first. As much as we made fun of Adi for suggesting us to visit lighthouses, we learned to appreciate them a day or two later after seeing quite a few of them. Hehe. We saw a closeup view of Maine's oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light! So we came aboard, took in the salt air, and spectacular sights, while freezing.

Monday:

We were looking for high-quality Maine products at the Public Market, but I don't think it exists anymore - it doesn't look like the picture. It will probably be tucked away soon. It's going to become a hotel in the future! *gasp* We did manage to find good pizza there.

Mainely Tours trolley tour was very informative as to the history of Portland and Maine [all my knowledge as well as misinformation comes from the man who drove the trolley, e.g. Maine is the 3rd largest state.] Hehe. The 90 minute tour around the city was well worth the $13. There was a 15-20 minute stop at Portland Head Light for photos, which Tam and I took plenty but no pictures can be posted because we're too cool. It gave a good overview of the city layout and attractions, most definitely [Portland within a day].

We discovered one of the Portland area's most popular eating spots!!! Two Lights Lobster Shack Restaurant, on the oceanfront in Cape Elizabeth, Maine!!! It has a view of a lighthouse and rocky granite ledges; the smell of the ocean; and the sound of the waves. Oh, yes! We had fresh Maine lobster! Eff the scallops and every other type of seafood! We enjoyed our meal INSIDE. After our meal here, there was no other place to eat food, in general. *sigh* Heavvven.

After dinner, we caught the movie "The Inconvenient Truth." Humanity is basically sitting on a ticking time bomb. If the vast majority of the world's scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet into a tail-spin of destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced. Even though I wanted him to become president during the last presidential election, I didn't vote [it wouldn't matter anyways because our system is rigged], I have newer and better respect for Al Gore - he's a good man - very intellectual.

morning

i want some waffles with syrup. or two scrambled eggs. but i ate oreo cookies w/ milk instead.

it's been a long time since i have written on xanga but that's because i'm having too much fun. i woke up way too early on a sunday morning with nothing to do whatsoever. i have had a low key weekend. work starts off well at the beginning of the week. by the end of the week, usually it becomes very painful as i watch the time slowly wind down.

thursday - met my aunt @ shabu zen in chinatown after work for some hot pot *yummy* we went shopping afterwards at the cambridgeside galleria. the good ole' days.

friday - drove to new apartment in quincy to clean up and organize before final move. ate at a small vietnamese shop. went home and relaxed for the rest of the night. i don't remember what i did once i got home. weeeiiird. i'm completely losing it.

saturday - ate lunch at panera bread [turkey romesco sandwich, greek salad, and iced green tea], watched tristan & isolde because it's the best movie! ever! james franco. hehe ate indian food for dinner @ 88 supermarket [chicken curry - me no likey much] hung out with venus and jason - at jason's, venus', and got mochi at trader joe's! visited jesse and ben - watched "batman begins" and the show, "curb your enthusiasm." -bass- beer and it was not very tasty - very heavy and bitter.

see...very low-key hehe
