| This was a fun movie. A bit like The Princess Bride.
Yesterday I went lap swimming for the first time in over 2 years. Man was I out of shape! Even though I had been doing exercise all that time, it still was difficult. I'll steal a quote from Jane - hurts so good.
| Sarah Palin, what a great pick. | | |
| TR is my Batman hero! We had a bat in the house. I was up late reading on the couch one night. I heard a rustling noise (scared me since it sounded like someone was rattling the doorknob) and then saw the bat fly by me. Then I couldn't find it so I went to bed (shutting our bedroom door!) We kept our eyes out for it for a few days but didn't find it. And then I awoke one night and heard it flying around our room. Eeeek! So I woke TR and he got the tennis racket (which I had relatively handy for this very moment), turned on the light and started searching. Of course I sneaked out of the room to get an old towel to pick it up with. When I got back it had been slain! The creepiest thing was that he found it hiding on the back of our headboard! Wish I knew how it got in. | | |
| Had a very enjoyable evening last night around the campfire. The weather was perfect - not too hot with just a breeze. It was us and Corey and his son Jeremy (our faithful construction workers) and Rick, our floor refinisher. He was just leaving to go home and luckily we had extra food, so we invited him to stay. The mosquitoes in town are horrendous, but they weren't too bad at the farm. They started coming out as it got dark, but thanks to DEET we could handle them.
Juneberry season is over for this year. Unfortunately it was a very poor year due to the drought and there were essentially none to pick (there were LOTS on the bushes, but they didn't mature and ripen.) Fortunately I have bags in the freezer from last year. I guess that is why a person should save for a rainy (or dry as the case may be) day.
