OH MY GOSH!!
Dudes, I am writing a new entry.......only a few months late.
Well, what can I say. Yesterday was a marvellous day for Eddie and I. The incredible newly wed Lyndon-ites are on their honeymoon at Centre Parcs, Longleat and unbelievably invited us to go and visit them! I know! Amazing!
It was so great to hang out with them.....talk about the wedding.....bundle each other down the rapids, and go out for pudding. Those guys are simply stupendously cool.
As for me, well, I have now done 3 days at the sandwich bar, and it is...um.....well if I'm honest, pretty depressing that my life has come to this, but I guess, alright.
I doubt I'll be there for too long though. I thinkk that God has designed me a bit differently, and decided that I won't be very good at having jobs.
...well.
I'll let you know how it goes.
lots of lovin
and I'll try and write more often.

Our last day!!!

Well today we decided to nip over to the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art where we saw some Edvard Munch, and Damien Hurst among others. However, about half way round we glanced out of the window to notice a heavy blizzard!! It was snowing and settled incredibly thickly in about 10 minutes.
Neither of us could concentrate on the artwork, and decided to take a break and run around abit and do some dancing in the snow! What a treat!!!
We rushed into town to see what it looked like in the snow! and after a pasta lunch, we rushed back to our room and collected our stuff to get on the bus to the airport.
It was hectic but immensely exciting!
Views taking off in the airoplance were great with snow laden Scotland below us:

Even thoguh it was a break of only 3 nights, we felt like we'd been away for weeks! Ed has said that it was one of his best holidays ever. It was a blinding succcess!!!

The second day

Today was Thursday 2nd March.
Today we got up a bit later (as you do on the second day of a holiday) and we wandered into town again and did a wee bit of shopping along Princes Street. After haggis for lunch, we then needed to fulfill Ed's desire to obtain a book by Robert Louis Stevenson (after being inspired at the Writer's Museum). We discovered a little row of second hand book shops tucked away in the West End. These literally looked like shops from the 18th century creeking under the weight of billions of gorgeous looking books stacked from floor to ceiling.

After a few hours of searching, we managed to find ' The strange case of Dr Jeykl and Mr Hyde' and another of which i can't remember.
Lovely. I also bought a groovy bobbley hat.
We decided to chill this afternoon, and returned to our room to write postcards and to read. We did however, return to the gothic looking old town in the evening for a pint of guiness and a pub dinner. yum!

Our first day

Today was Wednesday 1st march.
We got up and had a big old breakfast, and walked into town. We wandered for a while, taking in the cool Edinburgh architecture

Then we went on a Tour bus around the city. We were accompanied by numerous Americans and Japanese, and were by far the most tourist-y. We took photos of everything!!

We then went to the Writer's Museum, The Royal Museun of Scotland, and watched 'Proof' at the groovy arthouse cinema, and in the evening went to 'La Bruscetta' Italian restaurant for a wonderful meal!
We were shattered, and went to bed after an action packed day of culture, food, and coffee shops

Edinburgh

Edinburgh!
Oh what a treat! Well it all began on Tuesday 28th February with croissants and fruit salad. We had a leisurely morning full of Ed opening cards with cheques in, and some books on the dude known as Chuck Close from me.
Then at 12ish we were joined by Mr Pengilley who took us on the beginning of our surprise adventure. Ed is SO much fun to surprise. If you ever get the chance, his shreaks of excitement are incredibly amusing, and well worth all that effort.
We arrrived at the airport, and the secret was revealed. The adventure begins! The plane flight was about 1 hour long, and we found great wonderment in looking out of the plane window and taking photos.

No free refreshments with easyjet...slightly disappointing, but one cannot complain with the low cost flight.
We arrived at Edinburgh airport and caught a bus to the centre. We stayed in a B+B which was owned by a man called Charlie. It was really nice, and we had a huge room.

We also enjoyed helping ourselves to the big bowl of mint imperials at the reception. On our first evening we went to 'The Verandah' curry house just round the corner. I had a vegetable Dupiaza - an interesting choice. Ed was having a great birthday with a lamb bhuna and sag aloo.
