| well just thought that i'd update seeing as how it's been over 2 months since i've done so.....
nothing much has been going on other than my most wonderful trip back to that fantastic country of Ireland! oh how i want to just stay over there....i didn't even realize how much i missed it until going back. i'm just so happy while over there....and then i get back (to real life i suppose) and well, it's just not the same. no more to post on the trip at the moment....maybe later if i feel like it. but i could write for quite a while, so it's best to just cut it short before the rambling begins.
oh and how bout that world cup final game???? oh France.....but it's ok. Italy was a good team to beat them, even if it only happened in penalties. there's always next time...
work is going well again, although i must say it is mighty hard walking around with this stupid boot on my foot...especially on the grass. now i never realized how uneven the yard was until i got this thing on. i walk slower than ever now....quite a feat for those who walk with me on a regular basis, i know. i have a recheck in 3 weeks though so hopefully this thing can come off....oh and the most important part is that the doctor said i will still be able to ride, so phew! what a relief!!!!

| I MISS TEXAS...well perhaps i should say austin, what a great city it is.
quick overview of spring break, minus those things i do not wish to share of course...hehehehe
flew out on monday morning, stopped in atlanta for 3ish hours and then on to austin where liv picked me up at the airport. we headed to her house for dinner and then to a movie (failure to launch- pretty funny) with miranda, then it was time to head up to her apartment on campus. on the ride i was completely and utterly fascinated when passing under the new toll roads...it was the state of mind i was in which most definitely helped that one. met roomie tara and went to a small little party for a couple shots and then bed.
tuesday was a complete laze around day....watched some tv, met jackie, and hung out over there for most of the day watching tv and such. took a small tour of campus. that night went to a different small party so liv could say hi to a couple people, only stayed for a short time due to tiredness.
wednesday went into austin and walked the drag. went into a couple stores, and eventually stopped at this cafe-like place for a dublin dr pepper and ended up staying there for over 4 hrs with a hookah and new friends....surprising the kind of people you can meet- super nice guys. and of course, being south by southwest time, there was live music the entire time we were there. her friend, ricky, played a set and he was amazing, great voice and comical lyrics. bought 2 cds from one of the women who played, molly venter, she's amazing...love her music, very soothing like. then it was time for a big thanksgiving sort of dinner with her mom, nana, aunt, cousin, and miranda....delicious and fun times.
thursday went to a museum about the history of texas and watched roving mars while there...very cool. texas has a pretty interesting history...i enjoyed it...liv's car broke down on the way home so we ended up missing the free spoon concert we were planning on going to and spent a couple hours on the side of the road before the tow truck could get us. then it was time to get ready for a good night out....and it was one of the best i've had since being back...really really good time! i miss those nights......
friday we slept a lot of the day, our big plans for st. patrick's day were out the window since we couldn't get back to her college without a car and i couldn't really get in anywhere in the city, since they were mostly 21 and over or reserved specially for people with wristbands/tickets/whatever from sxsw...but we found one place with ok music and then moved on to watching street bands, fun fun fun. i LOVE live music- the absolute best! then it was time for bed since i had to be up super early to catch a 630am flight-yuck.
saturday got up at 445 to get ready quickly and then head to the airport...my flight was delayed to right around 7 which wasn't good since i was only scheduled for an hour lay-over in cinncinati. but i sat next to a nice lady and her baby....talked to her for a bit at the end after sleeping shortly. short time in cinci, sat down for 5ish minutes before boarding again- phew! short half hour flight to indy where dad picked me up and i went home. some grocery shopping with sarah, laundry, the phantom, some drinks at lauren's then bed.
then very depressing to be back here on sunday night....did some work and blah....unfortunate

it all started thursday night when danielle took me to the NIN concert in Ft Wayne! well i don't know exactly what to say about the concert/how to describe it except for saying it was absolutely AMAZING!!! so thank you VERY vERY much danielle!!!! pictures will be up on facebook once i develop the film and scan it in....used a disposable- no reason to chance hurting my digital!
then friday after class, megan picked me up and we headed down to greenwood, it was a good drive. there was a semi losing one of his tires, we saw pieces all the way down the highway and eventually found the culprit...yes he was still driving- eeekkk! well anyways had a nice dinner with the house family, it was filled with singing and hilariousness, following that we had an intriguing game of euchre (dad and i lost by one point- close game folks)...all this was followed by a crazy dancing sequence performed by various members of the merritt family- video camera would have been hilarious! relatively early night resulting from a long week of work/school plus having to rise early for breakfast and then trekking down to bloomington to ready haley's apartment for the night's party : )
breakfast saturday morning at sunshine cafe, delicious french toast, oj, and tea! yummers!!!! soon after, we headed down to btown, that is after haley changed the oil at the nearby meijer gas station. we listened to some high quality music on the drive down, seriously good music! once down at her apartment we went shopping for some food/mixers....then cleaned up a little bit and made shirts for that night, creativity= loads of fun! woot : ) they actually came out rather well, good for us anyways! haley had to work 4-930 so i hung out with steph...we visited haley, she made a shirt, ran some errands, and watched a movie, she also did my hair for that night- crazy! so that was that.....the party started around 10....it was a great time!!! for the most part, there was some drama but that always happens so oh well. but i think it was successful....i had a blast! will also put those pics up on facebook, many of them i don't remember- that must mean it was a great night!
sunday i slept for most of the day after meghan dropped me off at home, then dad drove me back to purdue and i sat around in my dorm room searching for plane tickets. i really should have bought them weeks ago when i first saw them for $250 bc the price is way up now but oh well. i'll just get 2 jobs this summer and it'll all be ok! can't wait for spring break!!!! i get to see miss liv!!!!!!

| alrighty so i really SHOULD be studying or doing something productive instead of always just sitting and doing nothing at my computer! the computer and television are bad influences and yet over here i feel like i need them...otherwise i would be driven to madness by the boredom of simple class life and such- oh college why can't there be more fun and interesting classes available??? i have 2 which i know i would never miss NO MATTER WHAT! those two just happen to be horseback riding and global awareness (everyone at purdue should really take this class, it's just about aMazing!)...hmmmmmmmmmm i really just don't know what to write, i think that i had a purpose in starting this post but it seems as though nothing has come out of it- how usual.
this week is a week when i really need to be concentrating on school work. i've got three tests this week, animal physiology thursday morning, organic chem thursday night, genetics friday morning...woo- so not a whole lot of study time inbetween each and also there's not a lot of time left to study for them. yes i am scared about these tests, and yet i do nothing to prepare in advance- i feel like such a SLACKER and yet i just don't care...well i don't know if care is the correct word for what i'm trying to say. i do care, don't get me wrong, i really really want to do well in all classes and overall school BUT i can't find the motivation....all i need is to sit myself down and make myself do the work- it'll happen, one of these days...hopefully sooner over later!
ok well now that i've written that ever so exhilarating post i am just gonna go, take a shower, and go to bed...nope no studying has happened...oh shipshewana this is not gonna be good- on friday after all tests have passed and i am drained, life will once again be grand!
yay.
that's right...i'm not listening to any music. why? bc my roomie is asleep and i keep forgetting to bring up headphones to use! woo
