| Yup....I am in the music library again! I am pretty sure I spend all of my time in either the music library or somewhere else in Murphy Hall. I just finished listening to a recording of the Sandmann aria from Hansel and Gretal. I have a music rehearsal for it in a bit...and I figured I would listen to it. Eh? Anyways...I have moved on and am now listening to An die Ferne Geliebte by Beethoven. So beautiful....really.
Tonight is the first staging rehearsal for Figaro. Yay chorus....i.e. stagehands who sing for about 5 minutes total. Good times...maybe.
I...of all people...actually went out last night. I ended up going to Quintons. It was quite fun actually. I basically just sat around with some friends, talked, people watched, and had a drink. It was nice.
Anyways...I better get going. I have table work for an hour for Sweeney Todd in about 10 minutes. Good times though?
Question of the day: How was everyone's Spring Breaks? Post a comment and let me know!! | | |
| I guess its time I finally write an entry in this thing. At the moment I am just hanging around the music library waiting to work on some Sweeney Todd stuff with Mark...or maybe its Fidelio stuff. No I think its Sweeney Todd. I've got about another 20 minutes or so.
So for those that don't know...we had some little storms here in Lawrence this last Sunday. Possibly some small microbursts of tornardoes. Anyways...because of all the wind damage to campus, classes were cancelled on Monday. So it was quite nice to be able to sleep in Monday morning. Lindsey and I decided to rent "Twister", to pay tribute to the events on Sunday morning. Fitting, right?
I am so ready for Spring break to start. I plan on working every day. Pretty much just keep myself busy. And plus...I really like my job. Yay for OTB, right? Dog and Pony show...what what?!?!
Pretty much all of my mid-terms were on Tuesday. And since they were over after yesterday, Lauren and I took some time to go play some tennis and then decided to have a leisurely night of drinking and watching movies. It was fun, just relaxing and watching Crash. By the way...if you haven't see Crash, I highly recommend it. Good movie!!
Well I should be going. But I hope whoever reads this enjoys the update. I know....last time I updated was last year!!!! Insanity!!

| Well I haven't written in this thing in quite a while. So..here I am. I am so so so so ready for winter break. I get to dye the hair darker, celebrate my birthday, and not worry about classes for a whole month. I, however, will miss Lawrence quite a lot. Not necessarily never having any money...but the people I will miss. Oh well...I will get to hang out with everyone back in Oklahoma that I miss. So I guess it evens out. I am going to go finish my theory homework for tomorrow so that I don't have to worry about it tonight. Peace out! | | |
| Let's discuss the weekend. It was quite amazing. I had a good amount of fun. It all starts on Friday. I went with the wonderful Andrew Fuchs to the Thomas Hampson master class. All I have to say is....A-mazing! I was all smiles the rest of the day. That evening I went to Overland Park for the OSU-KU hockey game. For those that don't know...my best friend Ali goes to OSU and her boyfriend, Ryan, plays on the hockey team. So....they were both in town. It was quite exciting to see them again. Saturday I had lunch with the girls after philanthropy at OTB. Good times. Then that night I went to the Thomas Hampson "Song of America" concert. It was absolutely incredible. I am kind of in love with Thomas Hampson. Richard Gere of the music world? Eh? Anyways...I went backstage afterwards and got to meet him and I got his autograph. **Swoon** Then when I got back to Lawrence I went to DU with Stef. Had a few tasty beverages and then eventually got home. It was a fun night. Sunday night....I had Vespers rehearsal. LC and I have now figured out the way to enjoy rehearsals. Drink beforehand. It was quite a fun night actually. I went to Chili's afterwards for some food. That also was fun. I had a nice time with the gang....and I shared a margarita with Austin. So all in all....the weekend was actually quite fun. Anyways....leave some love ya'll!!
Peace! | | |
