Managerial Life - And my dealings with idiots!It's been over half a year since I updated. Mainly because I'm so shot after a long 12 hour day of quality control, dealing with mechanics, service consultants, customers, sales department, parts, and then finally closing out my paperwork. Above all, I have to deal with my boss. At least I'm being compensated for it. However most of my time is dealing with a certain idiot. You see, we have four service consultants (advisors). 3 of them are competent. The other one is only hired based on the fact that he is good with customers. He has no technical knowledge at all and everytime something technical comes up, I'm the first that he bothers. So imagine this scenario, I'm putting back a tool back into the reception area and I get interrupted by this idiot with his customer in front of him. Idiot: Mr. Chan, quick question for you? (yes that's how he refers me in front of the customer) me: yes? (in annoyance) Idiot: What's that transistor called in the rear A/C? me: It's a rear A/C transistor. It doesn't take much for me to embarass someone. Why waste my time?! Sheesh! |
