| What a lousy Oaks Day!! They forcast a 40% chanse of scattered storms during the day but thought the biggest chance wouldnt come till later that night Fri. night. Just my luck they missed by a mile and it started raining around 1 in the afternoon and i mean rain!! Thunderstorms, heavy downpours and tremendous winds!! Believe me, a light portable canopy is no match for the weather we had here Friday. I was soaked by the time we left after the races around 7 pm. After that kind of day i was in no mood to put up with the 157,000 people there the next day for Derby, even though the weather was much beter Sat. Still had some gusty winds but skirted any chance for rain all day. Tragic day for the Derby race as the lone filly broke down and had to be put down after finishing second. She shattered both her front ankles after the finish line as she was jogging out after the race. Very sad. Very sad betting wise for me too. Sad Brad lost his ass picking the wrong ponies this weekend. Oh well theres always Happy Hour Fridays the next 2 months to get it back!!  . | | |
| What crazy weather here. Its been more like November instead of April. Its been Cold and Wet so far this spring. Wasnt very good Sat. nite for the big fireworks downtown either. Looked like only 350,000 people or so. Normally theres at least 500,000. There talking about freezing temps tonight. FREEZING!!!!! Its mid April for shit sakes, wheres spring? Its not like im eager to do yard work or anything, but it would be nice to be able to play around in the sunshine a bit. Derby weekend is 2 weeks from Fri. It had better be warm and sunny by then damnit!! | | |
| Still here, still boring. haha Happy April Fools day!! Man i need to change my profile pic. What was i thinking! UGH!! Idol is on tonight, getting more interesting each week with the level of talent this year. Hard to say who will get voted off next. Nothing new with me, just waiting for warmer DRYER weather so i can play some tennis. Hopefully the weather shapes up soon. Thunder next weekend (huge fireworks show). Oaks and Derby in 4 weeks with lots of activity in between. Well leave me a comment or hit me up on AIM sometime if ya read this. Later!! | | |
| Wow! Almost 2 month's since ive been here and made a post. Shows ya how boring life is, i still dont have much to talk about. haha. Weather has been crazy here, 70's one day and snow the next. I think the warmer weather is almost here to stay and man im ready for it!! My diet and exercise routine are still going well and im starting to look and feel pretty good again. NCAA B-ball torny going on now and my Cards are looking good so far. Hopefully they can continue a nice run. Spring around here means 2 things. NCAA Tourny and KY Oaks and Derby preparations are beginning. Come on 1st Fri. & Sat. in May!! Maybe ill update my post again in a couple more month's. haha. | | |
