  • I checked out my xanga for the first time in 2 months, and wow, those colors are annoying.

I'm at work, which means I'm on the computer, and since I've already watched the whole first season of Heroes, I'm bored, so I'll update.

3 people have promised to buy a chinchilla, so as soon as we've moved into the house, David and I are going to start getting Romeo and MJ together to do their thing. I'm excited, baby chillies are so freakin cute.

David found a dog he wants to adopt at the animal shelter. She's a black lab/german shepard and she's 6 months old. Her name was Isabel when we found her, and I like the name, so I fought to keep it. I think we're calling her Izzie for short. She's on hold right now until we're ready for her on Sunday, then David's going to go pick her up.

I move out of my apartment on the 25th, and the boys move out of theirs on the 30th, so we'll be homeless for 2 nights, mouching off friends until our house is available on the 1st. I'm excited to move in with David finally, but I'm sad I'm leaving behind good roomies. I've been working on packing up my room... I really should have dusted more, LOL.

I'm mad at the restaurant right now. I'm kind of "suspended" for being late too often, which I understand is a reasonable punishment, but I'm still mad about it because 1: not scheduling me for 2 weeks is harsh for college students that don't make very much money to begin with, 2: I'm only there for 5 more week anyways, so I really might as well just quit, and 3: she was really two-faced about it. She yelled at me once for being late about a week or so ago, so I stopped being late. On Monday I was an hour late because I turned off my alarm clock on accident. I wasn't too worried since the restaurant was completely dead, there still wasn't a single customer by the time I got there, and the manager wasn't even there; i figured she wouldn't notice. On my next shift she was nice to me like usual, she even joked around, and when I saw the schedule, I asked why I only got one shift in 2 weeks. She whips around and starts telling me how I can't be depended on and she's not going to deal with it; if I shape up I'll get more shifts; basically a huge bitch slap. How am I supposed to shape up if I'm not there? I'm going to try and get a temporary job at Follett's during the beginning of the year rush, and if that works out, I'll quit at the Sagamore; I'd only be there 3 more weeks anyways, so whatev.

The theater's cool, I'm no longer the bottom manager. We just promoted a new manager in training, so I'm not the newb anymore. What's funny is she trained me when I first started at the theater last year, and now I'm training her.

So all of the summer's blockbusters weren't as awesome as predicted, with the exception of Pirates, Knocked Up, Transformers, Harry Potter, and maybe Oceans and Fantastic Four. I heard Die Hard 4 was good, but I haven't seen any of them, so I didn't see it. Harry Potter 5 was really really good, my favorite of all of the HP movies. A lot was left out, but what do you expect with a 800+ page book. I thought it was a really good adaptation. A few details were changed that I thought were rather important, but I was happy overall, and I want to see it again.

The big 6 year is coming up. I think we're going to King's Island, although I'm not sure if we'll have the money since we're getting the dog. I'm sure we'll have fun doing whatever, I'll be glad for a day off.

  • What's this thing? Oh yea, I guess I do have a xanga...

It's finals week, and I had my 2nd of 3 this morning, the last one being tomorrow afternoon. Next school year should provide minimal stress since I'm taking 5 credit hours a semester and no challenging classes.

I finally got promoted to shift manager at Eastside 9 (woot!), so I will be working there a lot this summer. Have you seen what's coming out? It's going to be crazy awesome, here's a breakdown:

    May 4 - Spiderman 3
    May 11 - 28 Weeks Later
    May 18 - Shrek 3
May 25 - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
June 1 - Knocked Up and Mr. Brooks (DANE COOK!)
    June 8 - Ocean's 13
June 15 - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
    June 22 - Evan Almighty
June 29 - Live Free or Die Hard
    July 4 - Transformers
July 13 - Harry Potter and Order of the Pheniox (http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/harrypotterandtheorderofthephoenix.html)
July 21 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (I know it's a book, but I thought I'd throw that in there since I'm extra excited/sad about the last Harry Potter book )
    July 27 - The Simpsons
August 3 - The Bourne Ultimatum

So yea, excited. It's a good note to finally end my movie theater career on. I also got a job at the Sagamore Resteraunt for the summer, so I'm gonna have some EARLY mornings since they open at 6AM. I'm also probably going to have a simulator student at Hangar 6 AND I'll be doing my King Air flights. So I'm planning on having a very busy summer. My last summer vacation ever, kinda scared.

I'm moving into a house close to campus with David, Ryan, and Josh next year, so that's exciting. It's been an interesting year with my girls, but now I'm living with the boys, and they're probably cleaner than I am. I'm so glad to have lived with Erica this year because we have a lot of fun together, and hopefully we'll still hang out a lot next year. I'm glad to have lived with Sarah because I didn't really know her before, but I really like her now. I'm glad to have lived with Alexis for two years now, but we're both moving on to new roommates next year.

I finally turned in my Daewoo and got a real car. We had some great times and it was reliable for the most part for about 2 and a half years. It was my first car that I owned myself, but it was looking pretty sad at the end. The hood was all dented in where I hit a deer, so it always looked like it was snarling at the person in front of us. It was having some engine problems, and when I took it to Midas, the first thing the mechanic says to me is "How much do you really like your Daewoo?" So yea, it's sitting at my parents house while we figure out what to do with it, and I bought a 2005 silver 5-speed Honda Civic. We're getting along well, it was a rocky start trying to figure out how to drive it in the first place, but I really like it. Car payments for the next 5 years, yay!

The boys (Romeo and Joey the chinchillas) are doing well, Joey's about a year old now, but I don't think he's getting any bigger than Romeo. MJ, David's chillie, is so huge now compared to what she was. They all have they're individual personalities and they're adorable. David and I were playing with some baby baby chinchillas at the pet store at the mall, they were so cute and tiny I wanted to put on in my bag.  If we find guarenteed homes, we'll probably try and get Romeo and MJ together to makes some babies. Research them though, they live a pretty long time for rodents.

David and I are coming up on our 6 year anniversary on July 23rd. We're probably going to celebrate locally, maybe go camping or something, since we're both poor and don't want to spend as much as last year in Cancun.

Uh... so that's about it for an update. We'll see if I get one in before the end of the summer.

  • David got me a male chinchilla for Christmas, he's a black velvet, his name is Romeo and he's about a year old. Joey and Romeo are hangin out at David's because David has enough room for them to have their cages next to each other so they can socialize. In a week or so we're gonna put them both in Joey's cage, then send them home with me. David's hopefully getting a tan female this weekend, he's gonna name her Mary Jane, or MJ, since Joey thinks he's Spiderman. He's so funny to watch. Pics of Romeo to come soon.

  • Stressed OUT!

So being a manager in training isn't too bad, the 30+ hours a week I'm being scheduled, however, sucks. I asked to be cut down to 4 days a week, so we'll see how that goes.

I failed my multi-engine checkride for something stupid, my recheck will probably take 20 minutes tops.

I had my first weekend of the year this past weekend. It was nice doing nothing. I miss it already.

Joey's doing well, and he's really cute. I got him a hammock for his cage, he's so spoiled.

Erica's kitty is so cute too. He's about as big as Joey is, and he likes to cuddle. He fell asleep right on my chest yesterday, completely passed out. Erica says he seems to like boobs, hehe.

The AT department is stressing me out. For junior and senior year in the flight program, we're required to do 4 semesters of 727 simulator. They offer fall semester senior year during the summer so you can do an internship or graduate early (or late in my case), then you can take spring semester during fall or during spring, depending on if your interning or graduating early. Right now, I'm looking at either option, which means I won't be here all year next year. The kicker is that they only offer that if there are enough people, and there's no way to know that right now. Hmm, how'm I sposed to find roommates? Blah. And if I do end up stuck at Purdue all year for whatever reason, I'll be taking like 7 credits a semester or something like that.
