I checked out my xanga for the first time in 2 months, and wow, those colors are annoying.
I'm at work, which means I'm on the computer, and since I've already watched the whole first season of Heroes, I'm bored, so I'll update.
3 people have promised to buy a chinchilla, so as soon as we've moved into the house, David and I are going to start getting Romeo and MJ together to do their thing.
I'm excited, baby chillies are so freakin cute.
David found a dog he wants to adopt at the animal shelter. She's a black lab/german shepard and she's 6 months old. Her name was Isabel when we found her, and I like the name, so I fought to keep it. I think we're calling her Izzie for short. She's on hold right now until we're ready for her on Sunday, then David's going to go pick her up.
I move out of my apartment on the 25th, and the boys move out of theirs on the 30th, so we'll be homeless for 2 nights, mouching off friends until our house is available on the 1st. I'm excited to move in with David finally, but I'm sad I'm leaving behind good roomies. I've been working on packing up my room... I really should have dusted more, LOL.
I'm mad at the restaurant right now. I'm kind of "suspended" for being late too often, which I understand is a reasonable punishment, but I'm still mad about it because 1: not scheduling me for 2 weeks is harsh for college students that don't make very much money to begin with, 2: I'm only there for 5 more week anyways, so I really might as well just quit, and 3: she was really two-faced about it. She yelled at me once for being late about a week or so ago, so I stopped being late. On Monday I was an hour late because I turned off my alarm clock on accident. I wasn't too worried since the restaurant was completely dead, there still wasn't a single customer by the time I got there, and the manager wasn't even there; i figured she wouldn't notice. On my next shift she was nice to me like usual, she even joked around, and when I saw the schedule, I asked why I only got one shift in 2 weeks. She whips around and starts telling me how I can't be depended on and she's not going to deal with it; if I shape up I'll get more shifts; basically a huge bitch slap. How am I supposed to shape up if I'm not there? I'm going to try and get a temporary job at Follett's during the beginning of the year rush, and if that works out, I'll quit at the Sagamore; I'd only be there 3 more weeks anyways, so whatev.
The theater's cool, I'm no longer the bottom manager. We just promoted a new manager in training, so I'm not the newb anymore. What's funny is she trained me when I first started at the theater last year, and now I'm training her.
So all of the summer's blockbusters weren't as awesome as predicted, with the exception of Pirates, Knocked Up, Transformers, Harry Potter, and maybe Oceans and Fantastic Four. I heard Die Hard 4 was good, but I haven't seen any of them, so I didn't see it. Harry Potter 5 was really really good, my favorite of all of the HP movies. A lot was left out, but what do you expect with a 800+ page book. I thought it was a really good adaptation. A few details were changed that I thought were rather important, but I was happy overall, and I want to see it again.
The big 6 year is coming up. I think we're going to King's Island, although I'm not sure if we'll have the money since we're getting the dog. I'm sure we'll have fun doing whatever, I'll be glad for a day off.
