Then it got quite cold. It got colder many other places, but here it dropped into the upper teens and maxed out at thirty during the days. We had a little over a full week of amazing days. Sunny, golden, beautiful, very cold days. The average high I think was about 25 degrees. And so it happens that for the second time of my remembered life I have had a sunny, or otherwise gorgeous birthday. <smiles> The first pictures are taken yesterday, on the 25th. Little did we know that it was to be our last sunny day! The others were taken today. About.. half an hour ago. <smiles> enjoy!

</smiles></smiles>

Saturday, January 12, 2008

It is so dreadfully January.
Monday, December 03, 2007

Ah. Dreary days. Early nights. Mingled and confused weathers. Exhilaration of first snows mixed with remorse and disgust at untimely rains. It was a simply delicious time, and not altogether figuratively. The air up there, as anyone knows is nearly better than food, unless the cooking is really quite swell. And, well, it was. I still think I like the air better tho ;)

November has found me at midterms and papers to write and math hw and spanish hw and.... etc. <nods>
You all know the drill. However, I'm happy. What's interesting tho, is we haven't had stitch of rain in November yet. I'm so used to the sky crying out it's sorrows the whole first week of November I'm really disoriented, as it did that almost exactly a month ago. October almost didn't seem real as a result. I'm not used to the new daylight savings time yet... I guess it's tonight: I'm kinda glad, cause I'm getting to bed late... again. Ah well, the perils and the joys of youth eh?
Also, something I've discovered... The Phantom of the Opera. I know many people have this horrible idea about Opera in their heads, and most of them have never heard an opera. I used to be the same. I heard the reviews and was disgusted. Who wants to listen to people stretching their voices to the extent that dogs begin howling, and doing a lot of word-obliterating vibratos, except you couldn't understand it anyways, cause you don't know Italian? Not I. However.... That's not what Opera is all about. Certainly, there is bad opera. But opera is ... <breathe> amazing. I love it. I've been an adoring fan ever since my friend invited me to accompany her to an opera. It is the most outstanding thing in my knowledge of artistic class. Phantom of the Opera is a brilliantly humorous edition of both the Good and Bad operas. There is Carlotta... who is the epitome of what most ppl think of "opera". And it is. And it's very talented. And it's hard to listen to. And then there is Miss Christine Daaê... who is. Good. Very good. <nods> you should all familiarize yourselves with the soundtrack if you haven't been exposed already.
Finally, I've learned (by accident) how to make those little things that everyone else has been making for hundreds well... tens of years. ☺♫ re a drop of golden ☼♪ ‼
Hope this finds all of you doing splendidly well! (and just because I can: ♀φΦ╚▬▬⌠⌡╠╬╤╪╛Στⁿ╓ ≈δ♣§☼☻☺π♫•○^►Θ◄ ¥£░♥░░░░░█████♥█┼:☺◙º√♪ I bid thee farewell!
Peace and good tidings and happiness...
B

A week in review

In one week I've:

Locked my keys, wallet, cell phone, and lunch, in the car.

Paid to get in to the foot ball game (this may not seem remarkable, but...I'm with the band. <tear>)

Been sedentary all of Saturday, all by my self wrapped in this ginormous ugly quilt that I love. It's wool. And big. And I listened to Wuthering Heights. I haven't decided if I like it yet.

Got my braces off

Creased the passenger side of my car (long story)

Watched the rain.

All that rain.

Become totally disoriented in date, because of the rain. i.e. It's NOT November (by the way!!) it *is* October. Hence, all the halloween stuff at the stores. <headdesk>

And that's my story. Long since promised and forgotten, yet here they are. Finally. My room hasn't been properly clean, (or inhabited) since the wedding so I hope ya'lls forgive the lapse. All... two.. three... of you. :) They are in order of how they were taken. The first and second one are taken from my bed. The thrid one from the cubby door, between the book shelves, and the last one is from my door way. I like walking in my door. hehehe.
I'm not a great photographer at the best of times but the camera had really really really low battery (I was shakeing the batteries between each picture to get it to take them) so it was more of a trick than normal. Hence the feeling of being in a bubble on the second one, and I simply have no clue why the one with the window in it is all red. I think the first one is my favorite. That's actually what inspired me to action is that's what I saw when i woke up. It was great. :) Happy days all, hope you are all happy, in truth. <nods> I start school tomorrow! Oh and by the way, see that beautiful plant on the right edge of the first photo?? That is my favorite plant of all of them. No wonder it looks so healthy huh?? *grin*

</nods>

Email.

I got an email. In that email was a poem. I liked the poem. However, I didn't send it on to anyone, and have no plan to do so. If I fall over dead in a couple of hours, or something terrible happens to me, please understand it's because of the email. But I'm going to post the poem cause it's nice.

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows
I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

the demise of summer vacation

Once again, life finds me sitting at the computer with a not-so-little kitten on my lap who has finally calmed down enough to do so, instead of attacking every thing that moves. Including my nose. Nothing was safe for a time. What could be interpreted as a gentle extension of claws reminds me that I'm typing above his head, and that it's creating a bit of racket, which he will tolerate, under certain conditions. It is a bit merciful, I confess, to see him this sedate. It's not a state in which he currently resides. Last night I stayed up til three in the morning listening to a pre-recorded book, called The Penderwicks. It's a rather cute story. I started listening to it on the drive home from Gig Harbor. That is not my favorite trip, for it does seem to take forever, and at least going east you get some sunshine, but no, everytime we set our sights westward, rain, clouds, and gloom. Don't get me wrong. I do love rain. I love clouds even, when they are doing something. But when they are flat, gray, and thoroughly oppressive, and just sitting there, or bleaking spitting out a small drizzle of rain, which seems to annoy more than comfort. It's not hearty rain that you hear tapping on the window pane, beckoning to you, "Come play come play!" nor the rain that tells you to get the tea pot some candles, light a fire with cedar kindling and cherry wood. Simply bleak rain, that no one really delights in I don't think. It wets everything a bit, just so it's drippy, and then those oppressive clouds forbid anyone to be anything but solemn. Anyways, it was a nice reception up there. I got to see many people, meet many people, some that were surprising acquaintances, such as a man who had coached my hs councilor. Also I got to see again some delightful people that I now can call kin. Elizabeth and Jason, the Married Couple of The Year, and Jordan, who is my new brother... kind of. <g> Not to be confused with Jek understand. Jordan is Kevin's wife's brother. I did not have the immense pleasure of seeing Jek.
Alas, summer is almost over. I love acorns. There is a huge oak tree above my room and the acorns come thunking down on the roof. I think it is my favorite sound in the world.
I've got my text books now, and they do look friendly. I hope that we can have a really good time together, and not have that unpleasant occurrence when someone looks nice, but it turns out you just can't get along. The only one I'm really wary about is my Spanish book. It definitely has that dreaded text booky look, I'm determined to give it a fair shot however. My English books look so sweet. I love them. Well well this has been delightful and I'm off now. I took a what, four hour vacation, and now I'm ready to be severed completely. Happy days all.

**Callihans: Next time our Jordan comes up, we need to have a hard core game of pictionary. I know there will be the unfair advantage of Jordan and Faith and ESP but it would be a blast don't you think????

Migrations

Hey everyone! I'm not going to be doing much blog posting, as perhaps, you've noticed. I have however started having a "Pulse" so I'd be honored if you'd check it out. Again, it may not be with extreme frequency, but it's more likely than a blog posting.
