    Life is Good

Well, its been almost a year since I posted last as someone pointed out. Things have changed. Lets see...where to begin...the kids are growing up too fast. Nicholas is making straight A's. He definately didn't get that from his daddy. Bethany is learning so much at school. She is in 4k and can sight read words! Nicholas is reading chapter books. OH! two weeks ago he gave his life to Christ and is reading his bible every night before bed. Denise lost 3 jobs last year. It hasn't been a good year for her. Now she is a nursing supervisor at an assisted living place here in Mobile. I teach drama at a middle school for now. I found out a few weeks ago that i will not be hired back. Really i don't know if I want to teach any more. I'm really praying hard about it. I have another opportunity opening up but it will be a lot less pay. Extended family is good. All in all life is good.

  • Finally An Update!!

Well, its been a while! Things are going ok. Denise got a new job a few weeks ago. She is still a nurse but does mostly paperwork now. It's great! She has every weekend off, all major holidays off, and she gets off at 5 every day. The kids are doing good in school. Nicholas is playing tee-ball now. His team is in second place right now with 3 wins and 2 loses. My job is doing well. This term not as many are failing. AND I have been asked to come back next year! see, I'm not tenured so I have to reapply every year. My principal put in a recommendation in for me. God has really blessed us and continues to care and provide for us!! Well, class is about to start so until next post....

  • End of quarter

Well, my first quarter is over and grades are in. I have about 15 students who are failing....How can you fail DRAMA?!?! It's an elective for crying out loud! On the flip side, the majority of my students have a 70 or above. I even have a couple of 100's.

Denise is loving the day shift working as needed and I am too! Having her home at night gives me something to look forward to all day. I miss her terribly when she's gone. If I could I would quit my job just to be with her every moment of the day. Enough mushy stuff...if you don't have a significant other to be mushy about get a dog they are very loveable. J/K Seriously I'm praying that you will find the right person to love and be loved back. God has someone out there for everybody. If He didn't think so then He would have given Adam a best friend named Steve to hang out with instead of a companion named Eve. I digress.  TTFN!!

  • New Jobs

Well it's been so long since I wrote that I figured it was time to give everyone an update. I am no longer employed by Monarch Direct. Don't worry I left on good terms. I now work for Mobile County Public School System as a drama teacher at Leflore Prepatory Academy. I'M A TEACHER!!!I don't have a text book so I'm having to pull off of my old college books. It's kinda hard to put it in terms that my kids will understand and not look at me with confusion rattled throughout thier brains. I have been teaching for 3 weeks now and I am loving it. I've got the best schedual in the world! Every weekend and holiday off, and I only work 9 months a year! I'm, for the most part, off when the kids are off. Denise is quitting nights at the hospital and is going "as needed" so she can spend more time with us. It will be a blessing to have her home at night. She has been under so much pressure at work that it has effected her health. This move is best for all of us. God has really blessed us lately! Nicholas and Bethany are doing great in school. They both surprise me every day with how much they are learning. They are growing up so fast.

I need some help remembering some theatre games so that my students can have some fun and not just take notes all the time. If anyone has some ideas they will be greatly appreshiated.

    Yours in The Word,
