Another night passes by as if it were nothing from a lack of epic value. Will at the brasserie was working the bar tonight, and fuck was it slow in there. I felt bad for the guy; it was a first for me to see him so low in energy. He poured me a 16 year on the rocks and told me about his weekend in Fire Island and the dark humor of the crazy fuck I was sitting next to. A good 20 hours today were smeared out somewhere along the way, but with our own eyes, we still see smears; even if we can't decipher what they mean.

It's raining off and on in the city once again... but this time, no steam, no saturation of trash fumes involved. The parties have come to a halt since everyone finds themselves migrating north to the Hamptons or Fire Island. Such is a bleak state in the city where we're trapped for one more week of work and dizzying rounds of post-dinner drinks. Tuesdays are usually a toss up in a sense that you never know who you'll run into on the streets of Midtown or Downtown. Everyone is always in a hurry. Summer is almost over - sort of weird in a way. It just blasted right past my eyes in a way and all I see is smoke trails spelling out "GO BACK TO LA." We shall see...

Checked out Delicatessen in Soho off of Prince and Lafayette for post-work cocktails and a light dinner. It was a good ole time - until the skies decided to piss all over the streets of Downtown. Rough. Here's what BlackBook had to say. I wouldn't be able to assess a better review if I tried.

"Much-anticipated new joint from brain trust behind Chelsea’s Cafeteria opens glass garage doors at last. Modern interior with enough lumber to shame a Lowe's. Wash down reuben fritters and cheeseburger spring rolls with signature jalepeño margarita or zen martini. Like its Chelsea sib, late-night bites are the name of the game. Round-the-clock hours won't kick in 'til Labor Day , though, so don’t be surprised when the anorexic waitstaff give you the boot as the clock strikes twelve. Seek out colorful, semi-covert back lounge for a bit more intimacy, a second bar, and exclusive private entrance."

So I recieved this in an email from a friend I met back in colllege who now resides in Seoul making toys and furniture for some crazy Japanese lady. Anyways, aside from juicing up the minions with his Korean-American Midwest charm, here's what he had to send my bored ass. Enjoy, and cheers.

New York City Summers are steamy as they were 2 years prior. Lots of events that have changed my course in this neurotic yet satisfying life. People say I have changed drastically - hopefully for the better. If not, I doubt that it would be brought to my attention - at least not to my face. Here's a catchy vid that you'll see in the clubs these days. Cheers

It's been eons hasn't it. Much has changed in the many months that have passed us by. I'm working endless hours on minimal sleep. That always changed the rhythm before, but I've found ways to easily amuse myself on the off-hours. I've been drawing again recently; quick sketches and comedic caricatures of my colleagues. They obviously don't find my drawings funny, but who cares what they think. I'm still living in the big city, and it's getting hot as it was in 2006. Fucking heat waves up the yin yang. I've been playing lots of of tennis on my days off on the 10th avenue courts; hopefully I'll score US Open tickets this year.

Although their perfomance on SNL a few weeks ago fucking blew, the music video is kind of hilarious after a few drinks one might say. Yes. So as you noticed, I"ve been only posting up youtube embeddings without an actual text blog. To be honest, I have nothing good to write, nor anything of significance at the moment. If anything, it's all too personal to begin with and basically, I'm feeling overworked lately. So instead of biting the hand that feeds through blog world means, youtube postings are excellent; wouldnt you agree. Fuck it.
