| | I'll be looking for a laptop in the next few months. My desktop is fine, but I need to be able to travel with it, and I don't want to worry about cords. I want to be able to hook up to internet when it's available in the hotels/motels I stay in. I want it to be able to handle the Microsoft business software. And I hear that after June, XP is being exchanged for Vista as the standard. I need, at the very least, 2 GB of memory to handle the Vista - I read that.
What I can't find out from my research is whether Microsoft Word and Excel work well with Vista. I have Vista on my desktop. I don't have Excel. (I guess I could get it and see)
The only incompatibility I've found is with my Ancestry.com software (Family Tree Maker), but that was there before I had the Vista, too.
So, any thoughts?
Oh yeah, I don't have a big budget, so the best I can get for the least is what I want.
