| Hi Benjamin, I love you... : ) | | |
| Hey Loves, I am rejoining the xanga community, it got too lonely all the way across the pond. I am still in Amsterdam. This city is beautiful, you would all love it. It is brimming with history, art, culture, beauty, and the nations. Before I came all I could think about was its notoriousness as a sinful and depraved city, full of drugs and prostitution. It certainly contains these things, but as a whole it is so much more. It is a city a person falls in love with, its beauty catching you of guard and winning your heart. I will post pictures as soon as possible.
This time in Amsterdam has been great and I have been learning a lot. I am currently in my 2nd to last week of lecture phase and my team is leaving for outreach phase on the 9th of December. Due to the location and nature of the outreach phase I will not be attending as planned. You can ask me about all that at a later date, since at this point I am sick of talking about it. In light of all of this I should be home in about 2 weeks. I am excited to be able to be home for Christmas and to be reunited with all those I love. Though this was certainly not what I had planned on or expected to happen. So anyway this homecoming is bittersweet for me. I would love to see anyone who wants to see me, I can't wait to catch up with each one of you and hear about your lives.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We celebrated Thanksgiving here as well, though it is not at all a Netherlands thing. The head cook here at my base is American so she went all out. It was great we cooked all day while listening to Christmas music, I felt so at home! What a lovely holiday. Many of the dutchies didn't like the food and they especially hated pumpkin pie... What is up with that? Well,I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving feasts and that you are happily passed out all over the house, mmm gluttony... ; )
love,

| Hello, it has certainly been a while!
This week I was officially accepted into DTS (dicipleship training school) at the YWAM (youth with a mission) base in Amsterdam. I will be leaving around September 23rd and wont be home until the middle of March. Xanga isn't really something I have time to take part in any longer, but in Amsterdam it may be the only form of mass communication I have available. So all who still care or even those who just want to hear about a dangerously depraved city can expect posts in late September. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated! I would love to see you before I leave, give me a call at 706-6532.
Here is the base's website http://www.jmeo.nl/, please visit and satisfy all curiosity.
Love,
Brittni | | |
