John, a 10 years old boy was born in a very poor and marginalised family. He is now
part of the Happy Home family. John is studying in grade 2. He is a hard-
working, humble and friendly boy.
His mother was an unusual woman who often lived out of home. It was learnt that
she was a street based woman. She got pregnant and gave birth to John. Neither
John nor any other people know about his father.
John is from one of the remotest places in the western regional part of Nepal. In his early childhood he was brought up by his grandmother as his mother died when he was an infant. After a while his grandmother (mother’s mother) also died. This was the most difficult time in John’s life as he needed people to feed him and teach him to walk. He was left without a home and without people’s care. He had to stay in a goat’s shed and the goat’s kids were everything to him. The lambs (goat’s kids) were his best friends with whom he used to share all his grief.
One of God’s servants who used to work with the International Nepal Fellowship, a Christian organisation in Nepal, met John. He shared with other people about John’s situation. John became a precious part of Happy Home and we all are very impressed to see his life growing in God. We could see from John’s life that God has provided him with so much care and protection. This is because God always loves children. The Happy Home has been able to look after many other children like John with the support of people from different parts of the world. The Home Management Committee is very thankful for this ongoing valuable contribution.
Please continue praying for the children staying in this Happy Home so that they can grow in God and be a wonderful example of our Lord Jesus Christ.
