  • I have plans to move my blog.

Growing up, I always kept a journal.
(I refused to call it a diary, because I don't like the word.)
I felt that each journal was a new version of me,
more mature and with a different level of thought.
Often, I would abandon a journal before I filled it, because I felt I had outgrown it.

So it is with this version of myself.
I find it difficult to write anymore,
because the things I am used to writing here no longer seem worth writing.

I will post the address of my new blog when I decide where to have it hosted.

  • I just had the most heavenly fudge I've ever eaten.

Yesterday, Dave brought home half a pound of Pumpkin Pie fudge
from the Boutique in downtown Searcy.
    It's just beautiful.

I've put together a temporary website until I have time to make a real one:

    www.ascendinglines.com

It's not working perfectly yet, but it will be up and going soon.

  • Me: [On the phone with Dave] Um. . . There are two little boys in our backyard. They're cutting down our bamboo.
    Dave: What?
Me: They're cutting down our bamboo. Should I tell them to get out of our backyard?
    Dave: I don't know. I guess so?
Me: Okay, I'm going to do it. Maybe they'll just run away when I open the door.

I push the door open. One boy runs away, but the other continues cutting without looking up.

    Me: What are you doing?
Boy: [Looks up and smiles.] Cutting bamboo.
Me: Oh. Well, um. . . don't cut it all down.
    Boy: [Happily.] Okay!

I'm not really very good at being a mean, scary neighbor lady.

About Me

  • "Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and wasted away in their sin. But he took note of their distress when he heard their cry; for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented." --Psalm 106:43-45
