Saturday, June 21st- Bar-B-Q. There is going to be a barbecue to...how do I say this... honor the Goats. It's going to be from 5-7 pm. If you plan on attending email Renee Kamesch at rkamesch@att.net

Sunday, June 22nd- Sr Hi Mission Trip Parent Meeting. Immediately after the 11 am service. We'll meet in the big room and it will last about 20 minutes. We would like at least another $100 payment at that time. That will leave $150 to be paid when we leave on June 28th. If this isn't possible please mention that to us on Sunday.

This Sunday, June 22nd- Mission Trip Prep Day. This is pseudo-required for everyone going on the Senior Hi Mission Trip. (The rest of you take the night off) It will be from 5-7 pm and dinner will be provided. We'll be 'team building' which involves a lot of games where we talk about feeeeeeeeelings.

What's the dumbest thing you've done in the last week?

Goat- I left a bottle of old chocolate milk in the garage, forgot about it, and then ran over it as I left for work. Leaving it for Mel to find. (or we spent 5 minutes watching Master of Dance on TLC)

Mel- I stepped off the last 2 steps out of the sound booth and sprained my foot.

This Sunday, June 8th- Crud War. The time is here to get gross. Really, really unspeakably gross. Bring a friend. You might throw up on them. My goal is that you will be so gross, you have to throw away/burn all of the clothes that you wear to this event. This is not a threat. This is a promise. On a related note, I'm looking for an octupus. If anybody knows where I can find a fish market where I can find one please let me know.

3-5 pm.

Next Friday June 13th-Drive in Movie!!! We're going to the Ennis Drive-in. We'll meet at 6pm. The movie starts at 9 pm. We'll get home REALLY late...like around midnight. I'll go ahead and apologize ahead of time for that.

It looks like our choices are going to be Indiana Jones or Kung Fu Panda. Let's vote. Shoot me an email to let me know which one you want to see.

If we go see Kung Fu Panda, we can all dress like ninjas. Awwww yeah.

Sunday, June 22nd- Mission Trip Prep Day. This is for everyone signed up for the Senior High Mission Trip. We'll be doing some team building so we don't kill each other after sitting in a van together for 36 hours.

Sunday June 22nd. Mission Trip Parent Meeting after the 11 am service. We'll distribute itineraries for the trip and talk about our plans for the week. The cost of the trip is $300. At this point everyone has paid $50. At this meeting, we'd like to collect another $100.

This Sunday, June 1st, we will be honoring our graduating seniors. We will have a presentation for them at the 11 am service and then have a graduate luncheon for their families immediately after church.

BREAKING NEWS- CRUD WAR HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. Melanie's grandfather passed away yesterday and the funeral is on Sunday. As a result, there will be no Crud War on Sunday. We will move it to next week in place of the Drive-in movie.

NEXT SUNDAY- June 8th- CRUD WAR. We will NOT be going to the drive-in movie. Instead we will defile ourselves with crud.

3-5 pm.

Joenathan Pritchett wins the prize for best answer to what animal would you want to be your pet- kinkajou. I didn't even know what it was (google it). Then we got into a debate about whether owning a centaur would be slavery...and whether owning a dog/cat/dolphin would constitute slavery. And what makes a being sentient. I think it has something to do with whether or not one prefers country music, but I digress.

What's your favorite memory of the last day of school/first day of summer?

Goat- Running down the hall throwing all my papers in the air like a hoodlum. (not recommended)

Melanie- Fireflies and snow cones. Not together, that's gross.

Announcements.... something funny here

This Sunday, May18th- Paintball. Paintball is amazing. And it leaves little tiny bruises. In the name of Jesus. We'll leave immediately after church, eat a fast food lunch, and then proceed to fire projectiles at each other in a poison ivy infested jungle. It's super cool. Bring a friend.

$15 for gun, mask, and air. Bring extra cash for more paint, and lunch. Noon to 6:30-ish.

Everyone playing MUST have a parent form signed. (See attached form.)

Sunday, May 25th- No Activity. It's Memorial Day. Ignore the youth calendar.

Sunday, June 1st- Crud War. What's grosser than gross? Drinking milk that expired a week ago. What's grosser than that? Crud War.

Announcements...something witty here

This SATURDAY, May 10th- Dyno-Rock. This is indoor rock climbing and it's pretty freakin' sweet. We'll meet at the church @ 3:30 and we should be back @ 6:30. $14. Everyone going needs a form signed by a parental unit and a copy of that parental unit's driver's license (we have a copier at the church). This is kind of a big deal and they don't make exceptions. Here's the waiver.

Next Sunday, May 18th- Paintball. It hurts so bad it will make your grandma cry. But it's fuuuuuuuun. Come out and try and shoot the Goat...if he doesn't shoot you first. A great event to bring a friend to. We'll leave immediately after church, eat lunch, and then the wanton destruction begins. $15 for gun, mask, and air. Bring a little extra for paintballs, camo (if you want it) and a fast food lunch.

SCHEDULE CHANGE!!! Sunday, June 1st- Crud War. (Originally scheduled for Memorial Day weekend...oops) What do bananas, dead fish, and eggs have in common? It's all junk that you will be rolling around in at Crud War. Another great event to bring a friend to...if you really hate them and never want them to speak to you again because you put a boogar in their ear.

Announcements

This Sunday, May 4th- REAL Worship. 5-7 pm. $2 for dinner. This is the last REAL worship of the year. And of the Goat era. For games, the youth have requested gross food. Not for the faint of heart.

Next SATURDAY- May 10th- Dyno Rock. On SATURDAY we're going to go indoor rock climbing. It actually has nothing to do with dinosaurs. $14 and every yoot must have a waiver signed by a parent and we need a copy of that parent's driver's license. We have a copier at the church. 3:30 to 6:30 ish.

SATURDAY, May 10^th- DYNO-Rock. Rock climbing. With dinosaurs. Ok not really with dinosaurs, but it is rock climbing. Well, more like indoor rock climbing, so it’s not really a rock. But it is fun. And there is a rope to climb!!! Just like gym class. And an elevator shaft. That part rules.

May 11^th- Mother’s Day. Hug your mom and don’t come to youth.

Announcements

Mel made an interesting comment this week. She made a remark about the Mission Trip deposit and I mentioned that Kris Ritchie is the only one signed up to go at this point (hint hint). And then she said, “Oh I just read the new stuff and then skip over the stuff that was in last weeks email.”

I gave her a disapproving look, but then realized that this is probably what all of you do also. So NO MORE OLD STUFF!!! Cup O Goat now contains only original material!

sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY!!! April 20^th- Scavenger Hunt. Put the women and children to bed because we’re scavenging...for…things.

5-7 pm. Bring some cash for a fast food dinner.

Mission Trip deposits are due THIS SUNDAY!!!! It’s a $50 deposit and we know to know how many yoots are coming on this trip. The total cost will be around $300. It’s June 28^th to July 6^th. This trip will melt your face off and change your life. I can’t guarantee the melt your face off part, but you will never forget this trip.

As of right now, Kris Ritchie, Karissa, and Davina are going. They’re going to have a lot of room in that van.

The Youth group is going to assemble a PRAISE BAND, so if you know how to play the bass, or if you can sing real pretty let me know and I will give Dustin your info.

Attentions high school students. April 29th, 30th, and May 1st, Texas will give the math portion of TAKS test. Are you anxious? Nervous? Don't panic. Every thursday, beginning March 27th, COH is offering free math TAKS-Prep classes. Any student wanting tutoring/help in grades 9-12 is invited. Each session will begin at 6:30 in the Big room. All materials will be provided. Bring your own TI graphing calculator if you can. April 24th is the last date. Don't wait too late. Any questions, call Jeff Davis at 817-584-4021.

The dates for the Senior High Mission Trip (all youth going into high school) are tentatively set for June 28^th- July 6^th. We will be going to Chicago for mission work and then going to Cornerstone music festival. The cost is going to be around $300. We’ll know more when we know how many youth are going. But in order to do that, we need people to sign up. There will be a $50 deposit due Sunday, April 20^th. Scholarships are available if you need some help paying for the trip. Talk to us ASAP if you would like to secure a scholarship.

As of this moment, Kris Ritchie is going. He’s going to have fun.
