Anvil from our storm.
Nice mammatus on the underside of the anvil.

Here's the meso. Though it didn't produce a tornado, it still looked nice.

| The Storm Prediction Center issued Tornado Watch 790 at 305CDT for
parts of Southwest and South-Central Oklahoma and North-Central
Texas. There was the potential for severe thunderstorms including
long lived supercells.
After going to Sarkeys to pick up my rossby information, I went up to
the maproom to check things out. Melissa asked if I wanted to go
chasing, so at 4:30 we left for Lawton, OK.
The drive was clear and hot for most of the trip to Lawton. We
began to see the anvil of a storm cluster (which turned out to be a
discrete storm trying to become a supercell -- thanks to Gabe giving us
updates by phone). Nice mammatus on the underside of the massive
anvil.
Saw a distinct lowering and started to head south to intercept the
storm. Made it to Vernon, TX. The storm had begun to become
linear and a MCS formed. Limited tornado probability, but lots of
lightning, and the chance of severe wind and hail.
Bust of a chase for tornadoes, but it was a good chase for seeing
mammatus, a nice anvil, and for some really nice lightning displays.
