inventive Uranus -- the Great Awakener. According to master astrologer
Jeff Jawer, "This is a very creative and inspirational occasion,
offering the potential for a higher, spiritual perspective and
innovative insight into who you are." Use this opportunity to step
outside the box and free yourself to discover exciting new forms of
insight.

“When people show you who they really are, believe them."
~ Maya Angelou

Non-fat quiz

Level 1
(x) Smoked A Cigarette
(x) Smoked A Cigar
( ) Kissed A Member Of The Same Sex
SO FAR: 2

Level 2
(x) Are / Been In Love (many years ago)
(x) Dumped someone
(x) Been Fired
(x) Been In A Fist Fight (in high school)
SO FAR: 6

Level 3
( ) Had A Crush On An Older Person
(x) Skipped Class
( ) Slept With A Co-worker
(x) Seen Someone / Something Die (several times)
SO FAR: 8

Level 4
( ) Had / Have A Crush On One Of Your friends
( ) Been To Paris
( ) Been To Spain
(x) Been On A Plane
(x) Thrown Up From Drinking
SO FAR: 10

Level 5
(x) Eaten Sushi (delicious)
( ) Been Snowboarding
(x) Met Someone Through Internet
( ) Been in a Mosh Pit
SO FAR: 12

Level 6
( ) Been In An Abusive Relationship
(x) Taken Pain Killers
(x) Liked/loved Someone Who You Cant Have
(x) Laid On Your Back And Watched Cloud Shapes Go By (did that a few days ago)
(x) Made A Snow Angel
SO FAR: 16

Level 7
(x) Had A Tea Party
(x) Flown A Kite (great fun)
(x) Built A Sand Castle
(x) Gone mudding
(x) Played Dress Up
SO FAR: 21

Level 8
(x) Jumped Into A Pile Of Leaves
(x) Gone Sliding
(x) Cheated While Playing A Game
(x) Been Lonely (almost every day)
(x) Fallen Asleep At Work / School
SO far: 26

Level 10
(x) Watched The Sun Set (often)
(x) Felt An Earthquake
(x) Killed A Snake
SO FAR: 29

Level 11
(x) Been Tickled
(x) Been Robbed / Vandalized
(x) Been cheated on
(x) Been Misunderstood (lol - all the time)
SO FAR: 33

Level 12
(x) Won A Contest (not often...twice I can think of in the last 14 years)
(x) Been Suspended From School (they caught us kissing in the hall)
( ) Had Detention
(x) Been In A Car / Motorcycle Accident (I've been in several)
SO FAR: 36

Level 13
( ) Had / Have Braces
( ) Eaten a whole pint of ice cream in one night
(x) Danced in the moonlight (still do)
SO FAR : 37

Level 14
(x) Hated The Way You Look
(x) Witnessed A Crime
( ) Pole Danced
( ) Questioned Your Heart
( ) Been obsessed with post-it-notes
SO FAR: 39

Level 15
(x) Squished Barefoot Through The Mud
( ) Been To The Opposite Side Of The World
(x) Swam In The Ocean
(x) Felt Like You Were Dying
SO FAR:

"Who am I
To stand and wonder, to wait
While the wheels of fate
Slowly grind my life away.
Who am I ?

There were some things that I loved one time,
But the dreams are gone that I thought were mine,
And the hidden tears that once could fall
Now burn inside at the thought of all
The years of waste, the years of cryin'
The passions of a heart so blind;
To think that, but even still
As I stand exposed, the feelings are felt
And I cry into the echo of my loneliness.

Who am I
To stand and wonder, to wait
While the wheels of fate
Slowly grind my life away.
Who am I ?

What a nothing I've made of life
The empty words, the coward's plight
To be pushed and passed from hand to hand
Never daring to speak, never daring to stand
And the emptiness of my family's eyes
Reminds me over and over of lies
And promises and deeds undone
And now again I want to run
But now there is nowhere to run to.

Who am I
To stand and wonder, to wait
While the wheels of fate
Slowly grind my life away.
Who am I ?

And now my friend we meet again and
We shall see which one will bend
Under the strain of death's golden eyes
Which one of us shall win the prize
To live and which one will die
'Tis I, my friend, yes 'tis I
Shall kill to live again and again
To clutch the throat of sweet revenge
For life is here only for the taking.

Who am I
To stand and wonder, to wait
While the wheels of fate
Slowly grind my life away.
Who am I ? Who am I ?"
~ Country Joe and the Fish
TGIF

A music video I found that I really like.

Have a wonderful weekend filled with fun, love, and friends.

Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum Part 3

This is the last installment from my trip to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum.

Waiting on the train platform were the baggage carts with baggage in one case.

I actually have a suitcase similar to one of these.

This is the engine backing up to get the train cars.

The conductor was busily talking with the other train workers (all volunteers) preparing the train for departure

One of the things he had to do was release the breaks on the caboose.

One of the things we passed along the way was the

I plan to go back and visit the winery. I found out later the train would stop there to pick up and off load passengers.
I took this picture of the vineyard while the train was picking up some people.

We also passed the golf course. Everyone waved as we went by.

The most exciting adventure of the morning ride was a huge tree which had fallen across the tracks.

After lengthy discussions, they decided to back the train back to the station. I'd never ridden in a train being pushed by the engine before. The brakeman rode in the caboose.
While we were stopped, I took this picture of some flowers growing by the side of the tracks.

For all my US friends....Have an awesome Fourth of July filled with friends, fun, and
love.

Mellow Yellow Tuesday

When you first enter the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum they have setup a train station waiting area composed of items from closed train stations all over Alabama.

There is even an arrival/departure board

As one continues through the museum there are various items from the grand railroad past

I love this old typewriter

The museum and train station are located in

They have a nice visitor's center and gift shop

In addition to the Calera & Shelby Railroad they have

a narrow gauge railroad.

The

was named for its builder and club

president at the time. Clark and other volunteers laid out and constructed the

train yard by had over a period of years.

Quite an extensive collection of rail stock is housed in the Clark Yard.

Don't take it that way.

San Diego made the picture much clearer.

There's but little breath left
on the boundary of this life and next.
Not knowing if I'll be here next morning,
why try to trick death
with life-schemes for a permanent future?
