I just wanted to let everyone know that I am officially a Grammie (or Grandmother.... we're having differing opinions from my children, David is definitely Granddaddy)

 

Clarke Samuel Vinson came to meet us face to face on January 11, 2007, at 10:58pm.  He weighed 7 lbs, 14 oz, and was 21 inches long.  He is a beautiful, healthy, happy boy with just enough fuzz on top to keep him from being completely bald!!  I could not quit looking at his face and hands and feet and toes and nose and oh my, those big blue eyes that just kept studying my face as well.  What an overwhelming love and happiness to see one of your children become a parent, and to hold that little one in your arms and see your child's attributes mixed with their spouses in that new little face.  That new little person.  That new little boy who's gonna run hug my neck and hop in my lap, and say "I love you, too!"  What a blessing!!!!! 

 

Myklin was a real trooper during her 12+ hours of delivery and Travis was a great coach/comforter.  When we went in right after delivery, they both looked like they had just been out on a fun date or something, calm cool and collected..... except they did both have the wonderful, glaring glow of parenthood on their faces.  I am so proud for these two, and so happy for them. 

 

 

I could rattle on and on for pages and pages, but I will go.........

.......you never know, they might need me to come hold that sweet little boy, and I sure want to be ready!!!
